Roomy and Comfortable
The house had all the right amenities for a vacation - comfortable beds, a large dining table, plenty of games, spacious outdoor area, a lovely hot tub, and a whitetail doe that visited us each morning. Perfect home base for exploring Acadia!

Peaceful visit
This was an amazing place. On the quiet side of Acadia but easy to get to the park. We saw deer every day and really enjoyed sitting outside every night. The beds were comfortable with outlets at every bedside; kitchen was easy to prepare meals, house was very clean. We loved every day here!

Easy comfort in SW Harbor
Location was woodsy, attractive place and nice. Everything functioned super-well, including WI-FI and kitchen appliances, even both Keurig or drip pot coffeemakers. Decor was lowkey with furniture that is comfortable and simple . Plenty of indoor and outdoor space to stretch out, have a larger group. Dining table chairs were functional but not comfortable at all, some kinda saggy. Bathrooms also functioned great but upstairs one needs renovation And owners’ note indicated it is ‘on the list’. Double sink would be nice, better shower. Large new glass double shower in main floor bath was impressive, and maybe great for a romantic couple or group of kids to shower together, but not so great for a solo good hot, vigorous shower. We really appreciated fire pit with firewood ready to go! Acadia & local papers provided were also nice. It was apparent the owners think about the comfort and convenience of guests and provide for it.

Family adventures in Maine
The home was lovely, nice big table for my family to gather. Also lots of seating in living room for us to sit and chat. Peaceful outdoor location. But easy access to sites of interest. My family enjoyed the hot tub after a day of hiking at Acadia National Park.

Great first visit to Acadia!
We loved staying at this house! House was very clean, stocked with all your needs. Beds were very comfortable, and the house has plenty of space to spread out. The outdoor area was quiet and relaxing and the hot tub was a huge hit after a day of hiking. The host was very quick to respond.

Cute home in the woods.
Stayed for a wedding nearby. This setting was wonderful, tucked in the Maine forest. The deer were in the forest around us on many occasions. The house is very open and roomy with a cabin vibe: large granite fireplace, lovely antique furnishings. The bedrooms are large and the beds are comfortable . It met all our needs.

Secluded but close to everything
The property and house were exactly like we were looking for and the perfect location! Everything looked exactly as pictured and described. We did have deer in the yard a few times early in the morning and later at night (and even a skunk)! At the end of the day we wanted to be away from all the crowds. We spent 5 days here, spent lots of time in Acadia and even traveled up to Cutler and Lubec for a day trip (just a short 2 hour drive). Thom was very responsive and over all a great host. The hot tub had broken just before we arrived but he was on top of it. He was able to get someone out to the house to fix it prior to our stay ending.

Great stay on Acadia’s quiet side!
We loved our time at this home on the quiet side of Acadia National Park. The house is secluded and quiet - a nice getaway from the crowds on the other side of MDI. But it was also just a quick drive to everything downtown Southwest Harbor has to offer. The house was very clean and spacious. The outdoor grill and hot tub were awesome amenities!

Great home base to explore Acadia
The home was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of space for my 2 college aged children, my husband and I to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked and the homeowner even left us a cooler when I had asked if there was one to use for picnics. We saw several deer in the yard and enjoyed bird song throughout the day. The location was great for getting around to everything we wanted to see.

Nice secluded place close to everything
We recently stayed at this house and had an overall good experience. The kitchen refrigerator that looked like it was straight out of Star Trek, which was quite impressive and added a modern touch to the space. The main floor bathroom was updated, nice large shower which worked great. However, this bathroom has a child-sized toilet, which might be inconvenient for some guests. There was a heatwave during our stay so a downside was the air conditioning. Only two of the bedrooms had window AC. The room with two beds did not have any AC, the window screen was torn, so we couldn't open the window for some fresh air. But oscillating fans were provided (no ceiling fans) in each bedroom. The living room does have a good celing fan. The location is quite secluded, which is perfect if you're looking to get away from it all. However, be aware that there are no TVs in the bedrooms. The main floor has a very small TV with no cable, but it does have internet streaming access if you provide your own streaming account. The hot tub was clean and working great, and the fire pit was fantastic for evening gatherings. Having on-site laundry was also a great convenience. The upstairs bathroom, while not updated, was completely satisfactory. Additionally, the lawn and landscaping were well maintained, which added to the overall pleasant ambiance. The house is about 25 minutes from Bar Harbor, and Southwest Harbor is very close by with restaurants and a great ice cream shop called Salt Shop.

Great Home in Secluded Location Away From Bar Harbor Crowds
We stayed for 4 nights in early October. The property is great for a crowd. There were plenty of towels and kitchen essentials. Although there were just two couples in our group and we did not utilize the home much, it suited our needs. The guys did enjoy the hot tub one evening. We were in the area for the first time and wanted to see all we could see in a short time, so we left early mornings and returned late evenings. I would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. The nightlights in the rooms and the dual coffee pots (a Keurig and a full coffee pot) were much appreciated. They even had coffee pods available to start our first day, if we needed them. The beds were comfortable. The only issue (and really by the next morning it was not an issue after we saw where we were) was that we arrived late on our first day, well after dark. The lane is hard to see at night and when we pulled onto the lane, the grass was grown up on each side. There were old trucks and an old garage on either side as we entered. We missed the 1 on the house number and drove past it thinking we had to go farther to our destinatiion but then wound up in someones driveway so we turned around and noticed that this was actually house number 13. It was just kind of an eery vibe entering but at daylight we saw where we were and everything was fine. I only write this to let anyone know if they enter after dark with the same experience, you'll be ok. Thanks for a great stay!

Spacious home in private setting
Family vacation for 6 adults, 3 yr old, and infant. We really enjoyed the spaciousness of the inside and out of the home. Loved the wrap around porch, firepit, hot tub, and large dining area. Surrounded by trees, and felt very private. We cooked in most evening meals, and the kitchen was well stocked with a Keurig, and drip coffee maker, pots, pans, knives, kitchen gadgets, etc. Even a lobster pot. The owner was very prompt in answering emails with any questions we had. For infant, we used the pack-n-play (in downstairs closet) but note to people bringing own linens for that. It is a larger model, so the current fitted sheets and mattress pad my daughter-in-law brought didn't fit. No worries, though, I just wrapped it in a towel, then wrapped the pad like a package. We did NOT have any issues with water pressure while we were there. Bathrooms were well equipped, and there were plenty of towels. Would definitely return.

Great home for a girls' trip!
I stayed here for 4 nights with my mom and sister for a fun girls' trip, and we all agreed the home was just what we needed. The location is great! You feel secluded even though there are a few other homes near you, you cannot see them. We saw so many deer from the porch! I swear everytime we walked out the door there were multiple deer, included fawn. The three bedrooms were spacious. The downstairs shower was fantastic! We didn't do any cooking on our trip, but the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. There is a great coffee shop within walking distance from the house as well! It was a bit too damp while we were there to get a fire going in the fire-pit, but just sitting out there enjoying the peace was good enough for us. The check-in/check-out process couldn't have been easier, and there was not a long list of things for us to take care of before checking out like I've had at other vacation rentals. This was the first time visiting MDI for everyone in my group, and we all agreed we'd have to come back again.

Nice roomy place. Met our needs. Family enjoyed it a lot. We had a fire one night and were treated with a doe and her fawn daily. It is a bit of a drive to Bar Harbor and park loop road but not bad. Found nice places to eat nearby. I'd recommend.
