We have updated the kitchen, master bathroom and half bath with new cabinets and granite counter tops. This condominium has a large master bedroom with A/C. The master bedroom has an an en-suite master bath with a walk in shower. Our home also has a half bath for your convenience. Our spacious lanai is an excellent place to kick back and enjoy your morning coffee or romantic dinner. Poipu Sands is located directly next to the ocean near famous Shipwreck Beach and adjacent to the Kauai Grand Hyatt Resort and Spa. The Grand Hyatt resort offers lush tropical grounds, casual and fine dining as well as shops and entertainment. Shipwreck Beach, located in front of the Hyatt is usually sunny and less crowded than other Poipu Beaches. This is a beautiful beach to take a romantic evening stroll and is often used as the backdrop for wedding photos. Poipu Sands is located within the upscale Poipu Kai resort. The Poipu Kai development is located on 70 acres and extends from Poipu Beach to Shipwreck Beach. The resort is connected by a green belt that has beautiful garden paths winding through it. The Kiahuna Golf Course and the Poipu Bay Golf Course are both in very near proximity. The nearby tennis club offers both hard and soft surface courts. You may also enjoy a game of tennis on Poipu Sands private tennis court. Poipu Sands is the only complex within Poipu Kai that offers a private tennis court. Poipu Sands also offers a large seasonally heated private swimming pool. You also have access to an additional pool and hot tub just a short walk down the green belt path. Poipu Beach which has been ranked as one of the top beaches in the United States is just a short 10 minute walk from our unit along the pleasant Poipu Kai green belt. This beach has both a shallow area which is excellent for swimming with small children and a great snorkeling area as well. This is a favorite spot to see napping endangered monk seals and Hawaiian sea turtles. Old Koloa Town located less than five miles away is the site of the island's first sugar mill. Historic Old Koloa Town is a hub of picturesque shops, eateries, gift and souvenir emporiums. There are a variety of Luaus throughout Kauai including one at the Grand Hyatt Resort right next door. You may also enjoy a horse back ride along the Mahaulepu Coast line, renting a stand up paddle board to enjoy the ocean surf or dining at the large variety of nearby restaurants ranging from family fare to upscale and romantic. Take a lovely evening stroll along the green belt to Poipu Beach to enjoy the sunset then come home to enjoy dinner on your very own quiet and comfortable lanai.
