Can you imagine living in the hills with no neighbors and only the sounds of nature? Rancho Montecito is a working cattle farm so close to everything and yet feels like miles away from the hubbub. Located 15 minutes from Atenas for groceries, restaurants, shops etc., 1/2 hour from SJO airport and 50 minutes to the Pacific beaches. It is a very different experience being so close to everything and yet nestled quietly in the hills with forests, spectacular views, trails, birds, wildlife, cows and horses. There is plenty to do or just relax and enjoy the fresh air and views. With a wide array of birds and wildlife, you just might be fortunate to see monkeys, coati, ant eaters, deer or many other of the animals moving around in the forests. There are great trails to walk, and a pool with perfect temperature water. This is an elegant outdoor experience. Come join this slice of paradise to truly unwind and be part of nature.

Relaxing, quiet, sense of freedom and beautiful. Couldn't have asked for a better place to unwind.

Very beautiful home. Surrounded by birds, cows, horses and even a coyote that came in to drink water at the horse trough. Had a wonderful time! It seemed so far away and yet it was only minutes from Atenas and from the Pacific coast. Next time I will stay and make this my home base.
