We enjoyed the property as it was perfect for our two couple stay. Convenient location accessible to Keuka Lake as well as Seneca. Property had everything we needed and more. Beautiful morning lake view especially our last day when it finally stopped raining. Would definitely come back again!
Jim was a great host and very responsive. The home was clean, quiet, comfortable and well-stocked. We enjoyed campfire smores on the private beach. Close to many great wineries and breweries.
It was a wonderful experience staying at this cottage. Wonderful water views and a fully equipped kitchen. We enjoyed our time cooking and the peaceful atmosphere.
We were extremely pleased with this home! The house was quite spacious and very clean. The path to the beach is short, so you get the great views that come from being high up and the convenience of being 1 minute away from the water. We look forward to our next visit!
This is our third trip to this property, and I think that speaks volumes. The location is optimal, the water views are beautiful, and the owner is responsive whenever necessary. We have nothing negative to say. We truly love coming here and plan on returning again.
Great location on the lake. Ideal location close to wineries and mid way between Geneva and Watkins Glen. We stayed for a week in May and were able to see many parks and wineries along 4 different lakes. Beautiful lake view from the kitchen, nice deck for relaxing in the evening. Owner is very responsive to questions, etc. and is nearby in case anything is needed. Nice quiet location for families and couples.
Overall the property exceeded expectations. Plenty of room for two couples or a family. Everything we needed was there from the grill to the fire pit to the lake access. Very enjoyable getaway!
We had a great time at Jim’s place. The beach access was so much fun for our son, and sitting on the back porch overlooking the lake was the perfect way to end each night.
We loved the house, the location and the fantastic views. The house is super comfortable and the house had everything you need including water. The host was very responsive and very helpful. We are so glad we stayed at the serenity house.
Stayed for a long weekend with friends we have known for over 40 years. House was beautiful, well equipped and with an amazing view. Very convenient to all the wineries. Would definitely stay again.

Peaceful and relaxing
Nice house with beautiful view of the lake. Good location and close to many wineries. The lake/beach area and dock were smaller than expected for the kids to be able to enjoy but it was a very nice relaxing stay!
The property is exactly as promised and the view is incredible. We sat on the deck and enjoyed the view one night.
The property was spotless and they provided linens and towels and everything you would need to run a home.
The owner lives nearby and was very responsive to any questions we had.
It was easy to get to the nearby wineries and breweries also.
Its simply the perfect spot.
Highly recommend!
We brought our boat up for the long weekend and we were able to use the dock, fish right off the dock and locally nearby, and really enjoyed the easy access. It was such a great time. Great location to all the wineries, hiking trails, and beautiful, scenic views overlooking Seneca lake. We had a great time and we will definitely be back again. Jim is a wonderful host and really helpful with everything!
We loved the property. It had a rustic atmosphere and modern conveniences. Kitchen was well stocked. The view was beautiful. Close to wineries and breweries. James was a great host. He responded quickly to any questions and he mailed an item that was lett behind the next day. We highly recommend this property and would stay there again.
We had a wonderful stay at the Lake House! Celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary. Everything was super clean and the kitchen was well stocked, everything you need is available.
Awesome location, too. We brought our kayaks and mountain bikes. Lots of things to do and places to explore nearby. Jim was very accommodating, thanks so much! We’ll be back for sure.
Can’t say enough about our stay (4 adults). House was well equipped with everything we could have wished for, nothing was overlooked. Views of Seneca Lake were incredible! Patio space was ideal. We loved sitting out throughout the day, and evenings! Great gas grill for evening cookouts. Large side yard, where we played bocce. A path led to a wonderful private beach area, which included chairs, fire pit, kayaks and paddle boat. Close to beautiful wineries, and wonderful restaurants. We would highly recommend this property!
My two friends and I had a wonderful stay at Jim's welcoming lake-side home. It was so peaceful and serene. We took advantage of every outdoor seating area - the deck and the dock being our mainstays. The big picture window in the kitchen/eating area was prime viewing when several big storms rolled through - front row seats for the rain, thunder, lightening and rainbow shows!
Jim was always quick to respond and very helpful. The location was perfect for us; a beautful drive to Watkins Glen one day and to CMAC for a concert the next night. Plus a delicious vist to Spotted Duck for ice cream.
If we return to the area, we will definitely stay here again. We'd love to experience it in the winter!
Entire family was very happy with this rental. Property was centrally located but in a peaceful and private location. There is a small dock and beach area attached to the property, with 2 kayaks available for use. Kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked. House does not have central air but all the rooms have portable ACs. Some areas of the house could use a dusting, but overall the house was very clean (and I am a self-admitted clean freak). Owner was easy to reach and responded quickly when needed. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed our week at this property tremendously. The house is perfectly situated on the western bank of Seneca Lake, with beautiful water views. The private beach/dock were fantastic. We're kayakers, so took our boats down to the beach when we got there, and we left them there the entire week. We enjoyed coffee on the dock every morning when the weather permitted. There are several wineries very close by and many others are an easy drive. Truthfully, everything we wanted to do and see was a reasonable drive from this property, so the location was ideal. Also, the owner was very responsive to our questions and responded IMMEDIATELY when we reported a clogged toilet.
A few things to point out/tips:
- This property is right next to the train tracks. There were trains every day. On two days, there were trains around 7:15am.
- The coffee maker is a Keurig, so if you drink coffee, bring your k-cups.
- Bring your own firewood (if permitted) or be prepared to buy some locally if you want to use the fire ring on the beach.
- We brought our own camp chairs to sit on the dock and drink coffee each morning. (There are 4 plastic adirondack chairs on the beach, but we found the camp chairs to be more practical.)
-The hill to the beach was somewhat steep and portions were river stone (i.e., a little slidy). It could pose challenges for anyone with mobility issues.
Overall, I would highly recommend this property.
