Get away from it all and relax at our beach house that has been in the family for over 90 years! 100 feet of low-bank waterfront north of Suquamish near the entrance to Miller Bay.
Unbelievable views of Puget Sound from this secluded private retreat. Perfect for beach combing (up to 250 yards exposed at low tide), wildlife viewing (bald eagles and dozens of blue herons are regulars), or just relaxing in the hot tub.
With vaulted ceilings and large windows with expansive views, this cozy cabin has character at every corner and feels much bigger than its listed square footage.
Upgrades like heated tile floors in the bathroom and a wonderful wood stove will make sure you have an amazing time even if the northwest weather doesn't cooperate.
***PLEASE NOTE: Due to liability issues we are no longer able to offer our kayaks for use. However, there are rental locations nearby.

Loved the informal, unglitzed and comfortable accommodations and nature-groomed beachside setting! Just what we were looking for!! Great place for some time-out respite and restoration!!
My family of 4 loved the beach house! Our kids loved the bunk beds. We enjoyed the hot tub in the rain and piling onto the couch with a crackling fire in the fireplace. The kitchen was well appointed, we found everything we needed. We saw eagles and seals on our very 1st morning. It is obvious that this beach house is a beloved family treasure and the owners were delighted to share it with us.
We cannot say enough positive things about this house, the location, and the communication with the hosts. Everything was perfect and the house came as advertised.
The house was clean, had all the modern amenities you need for a vacation, but still felt rustic in all the right ways. The beach was great to explore especially when the tide was out. We had the best time just sitting outside on the porch and watching all the happenings of the Puget Sound. We even watched an elephant seal catch and eat a salmon right in front of the house! The hot tub was a big bonus and an enjoyable way to start the mornings and end the day.
The location and surrounding area were perfect too. There were so many small towns and ports to explore that had great shopping and dining. There was a great little playground/park right up the road that our girls really enjoyed too. It is very close to multiple ferry terminals which allowed us to explore the area even more.
The hosts were great in their communication with us and answered any questions that we may have had and did so in a very timely manner. They even gave us some additional tips about the house itself and the surrounding area.
All in all, we loved this house and can't wait to use it again! Everything about it was great and it was a wonderful experience. We can't wait to come back!

My DIL's and I had a VERY nice stay at this little retreat. The beach was fantastic and the beds were quite comfortable. ( In fact, I had to get the brand off the pillow so I could buy some for myself.)
This was my third (annual) use of the VRBO system. The process is usually quite smooth. I would definitely recommend this place, but I would suggest you be prepared for what it actually costs in the end, together with cleaning fees, deposits, and INSURANCE. As I said, I have done this a number of times before in equivalent properties and this was by far the most expensive even though the nightly rent was similar.
We had a little trouble with the lockbox accessing the property but we were able to contact the property owners and they were quite helpful. There is only one parking space for this unit and it is quite tight. I would not recommend coming with a large vehicle.
All in all, our stay was awesome and none of us wanted to go home!
I realize I stretched on alliteration but this was a great place to find comfort while exploring all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. We experienced fine dining, great wine, amazing hikes, Poulsboro, and day trips to Seattle and Olympic National Park. And still found time for crossword puzzles, reading, and relaxing. Great location! The owners very easy to communicate with and very accommodating.

This was such a nice getaway for me and my husband. Quiet and serene. We watched seals and porpoises every morning from the deck and enjoyed the hot tub every night. This location was just perfect!
Such a beautiful spot! We so enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning and watching the views in the evening! The beach house was so comfortable and well stocked. We would absolutely stay here again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property. With the water so close, we were able to explore and see amazing wildlife right in front of us! The property is slightly run down and could use some updating (mostly the bathroom) but it didn't ruin our trip. The communication with the owners was timely and informative. Nice to have the hottub for evening soaks. Wish there had been a dining option inside the house and that the laundry was accessible from inside the house but other than that, the house was well equipped with kitchen staples, pillows, blankets and board games.
We enjoyed our stay at the beach house. It was perfect for our family of four. We enjoyed the views, beach combing, the hot tub, hanging out on the deck, and flying our kite at low tide. It was the perfect home base for our Olympic Peninsula adventures. The owners checked in on us on the first day and let us know about road work in the neighborhood. The road into the house is narrow and steep with a small parking spot.
The home and property offered wonderful family time because we were far enough away from others and distractions. The private beach was perfect for the young and the old. The water activity was fun and exciting (the clamming, the ferries, the private boats, kayaking, a cruise ship, the birds...).
Really sweet little house in a beautiful location.
Fully stocked home, just bring your clothes and some groceries and be ready to relax. Super comfy furniture, amazing views (even Mount Rainier on a clear day). Lots of fun around the house exploring when water recedes and on kayaks when water is up. Short drives to nearby communities (Poulsbo is a must do). Easy day trips to Seattle and to Olympic National Park (we had lunch in Port Angeles-this park entrance takes you to Hurricane Ridge which is an easy trail). Property owners very helpful and timely in answering any questions we had before and during our stay.
Paul & Meghan's place was the perfect little beach bungalow for us to reset and recharge. Our toddler loved the beach, the sand toys, the various wildlife with the rolling tide, and the deck! Dinners were had outside each night - even in the clouds - and the barn door in the kitchen was always open to hear the gentle waves come in and reach the shore. The living room was the perfect place to talk, enjoy the view, and sip on coffee and tea. Amenities are a few miles away, which was perfect. Definitely a recommended spot!
We had a short but relaxing trip. The setting was gorgeous and we loved the wildlife surrounding. This location was nice to take day trips to sequim, Seattle, bainbridge etc.
What an amazing place! The location is incredible, a prime spot for bird watching and ocean gazing. The home is darling. We felt so at home. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need for cooking, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the living room is perfect for family time. We loved coffee on the deck and relaxing in the hot tub. It is also very, very clean. Best vacation ever!

We will be back!
This beautiful cottage was the exact experience we were looking for. The home was clean and would easily accommodate anyone. We enjoyed watching the sun rise in the morning and set in the evening. The view is everything that you read in the reviews and more. Between the hot tub, kayaks and the beautiful surrounding woodland, we had the most serene escape. Would love to come back with my kids some day!
Thank you Meghan and Paul for being so helpful and accommodating to us!

Dream beach location
Easy to get to from the ferry with loads to explore in the area. Just pack clothes and food because this house has every comfort you need. The sunrise view took our breath away and the private beach felt like we were a million miles away. Staying here was the best decision we made. Thanks for all of your hospitality Meaghan and Paul!

Great Cabin, Easy Getaway
Super cute cabin with great amenities, would love to return and enjoy the kayaks in spring/summer. The view of the water is lovely here and you can enjoy it from the house, porch, hot tub and beach. The kitchen is fully stocked, and we were able to really unload, relax and enjoy ourselves.
In addition to the house, we walked to the town of Suquamish and had a great lunch at Sully's and enjoyed the fantastic museum in town. We stayed two nights, and it was so easy to get to from Seattle, we wished we had stayed a third night.
Thanks for the hospitality!

The views!!!
My fiance and I took a long weekend to explore Seattle and the surrounding area. We couldn't have picked a better spot to do that from. We loved taking the Ferry from Bainbridge to Seattle and we even took the Kingston-Edmonds ferry a couple times. Fantastic sunrise views over the Sound and a very nice beach house!

Cozy cottage with outstanding water views!
This cottage was a perfect waterfront getaway. We couldn’t get enough of the views and enjoyed hearing the water and shorebirds. It was an easy commute to Bainbridge Island and the ferry. The bed was comfy and the cottage was clean when we arrived. We also enjoyed the chocolates left by the hosts. A nice touch. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

About the host
Hosted by Paul & Meghan Saxton
We are both born and raised in the Seattle area. We continue to call the Northwest home and love all it has to offer. We enjoy very active lifestyles and can regularly be found cycling, running, hiking, or snowshoeing just to name a few.
Why they chose this property
This property just north of Suquamish has been in the family since the early 1920's. The current cabin was built in 1962, and we've been steadily making improvements while maintaining its original character and charm. Our family has generations of memories here and we love being able to share this special place with family and friends.
