Lovely area
This is an exceptionally beautiful area and the local pub is excellent. House was as expected, bathroom is spacious and TV downstairs worked great - couldn't get the one upstairs to work but that didn't bother us. Plenty of hot water and I managed to get the CH to work when it got cold. Host was helpful and friendly. Sleeping was good - great for 4 people in a family, but mattress on fold-out bed is not thick enough for even a child, so cannot do 5 people or couples etc - but fine for us. The book of instructions needs updating for details of how to use the heating and waste disposal etc. Grounds are not as listed - or certainly the impression you get from reading the description is not the reality. The children's play area is not accessible due to the grounds not being maintained and much of the acre is not accessible for the residents of the property to use from what I could see - also the tennis court is in a poor state.

Short break to relax & unwind
Situated in a tranquil setting Strawberry Mill was an ideal place to relax & get away from it all. Although close to our favourite Llandudno. The cottage is well equipped, comfortable & has all you will need for your stay. Would love to come again for a longer stay.

Fantastic stay at Strawberry Mill
We have just returned from a four night stay at Strawberry Mill. Absolutely stunning little cottage in a peaceful and tranquil area. Brilliant base we used it to visit Conwy, Llandudno and Snowdonia. The beach and promenade is a 5 minute drive away - lovely beach and prom. There are walks in the area - almost direct access to the Forrest and nature trails. The cottage was very clean, comfy beds and fantastic bathroom. Our dog loved exploring the grounds. We loved it so much we weren’t ready to come home - will definately be back. Host was very friendly and fresh flowers and cakes awaited us on our arrival.

Lovely cottage in a great location.
Our family of 5 (2 adults, a 9, 8 and 1 year old) had a fab time staying at the cottage. It was well located for many of the things we wanted to do/see including the Welsh Mountain Zoo, Aber Falls and Great Britain’s smallest house. As a single bedroom cottage it was spacious and the kitchen was well stocked (although I’m guessing some guests before us might have had a few accidents as there wasn’t any drinking glasses). The bedroom upstairs had plenty of room for a travel cot and the downstairs sofa bed has a comfortable mattress. We made full use of the grounds around the house and loved playing tennis. The front garden to the cottage was very well kept, freshly cut flowers from the garden we’re also on display in the kitchen and living room. A couple of points to note however; 1. The cottage is very close to the owners house with a shared, albeit spacious parking area, the kitchen window of the cottage looks directly at the owners house - I feel this is worth a mention as it isn’t really mentioned in the listing - however, in truth it wasn’t a problem. The owner and her family make a conscious effort to provide privacy by shutting all their curtains on this side of the house and minimising the time they spent out the front. 2. With the exception of the kitchen and bathroom the cottage is open planned - there is no door separating the upstairs bedroom from the living room downstairs. This made it a little tricky putting the little one down of an evening. 3. The tennis court and swing area are located to the side of, and via the back of the main house. The swing area is higher than the cottage and main house and had a very steep bank back to the drive. There are steps to this area and for the older 2 children it wasn’t an issue, however younger children need to be closely supervised when outside due to the fall. Overall we had a fab time, the cottage was perfectly sized and the weather held out for most of the week. We would recommend the cottage to friends and loved the area! We’ve left with happy memories of a great week. Thank you.

Cottage stay
Lovely host, lives just across the drive from the cottage. Baked Madeleine's and fresh Rose's awaited us. Comfortable bed, lots of kitchen utensils, crockery etc. Great location for exploring North Wales, 35-40 minutes to Snowdonia National Park and Swallow Falls. Llandudno in 20-25 minutes, Rhos on Sea in 10-15 minutes. From the cottage just 5-10 mins to the sea, Local supermarkets and shops by car. Welsh mountain zoo walkable on a good weather day, 5 mins by car. We drove past the property on the way down the lane, just look right after the 3rd speed bump and turn just before the tall trees, its tucked away from street view up the long drive. Thank you for having us and our 3 little dogs.

Strawberries forever
Strawberry Mill is a great location to stay and explore North Wales. We certainly had a variety of winter weather, rain, wind, sunshine and snow but it was a lovely place to come ‘home’ to after a day’s adventuring in Snowdonia. A very attentive host eager to make sure everything was just perfect for our birthday break.

Fantastic cottage
Communication with the owner was excellent. Cottage is really beautiful and exactly what it says on the advert. Lovely pub nearby, beautiful views, peaceful and a really relaxing break. We were a group of four, my husband and myself slept on the double sofa bed downstairs and my brother and his 5yr old daughter shared the double upstairs. There is a single camp bed also but she was having none of that! Worked out really well. We are at the pub one night, ordered pizza to be delivered and went to the smoke house on the third night. All were fabulous. We will definitely return!

A Quiet and Relaxing Location
The property is nicely presented with a typical cottage feel. The single bedroom on the first floor is "open" to the lounge below and the bed is very comfortable, it is a long time since we slept so well away from home. The accommodation has everything you will need for a comfortable stay. Located in Colwyn Bay, there is easy and quick access to the North Wales Coast, Anglesey and Snowdonia. The cottage is situated in a residential area with great sea views and a few minutes car drive away from shops and amenities. You will get a very warm and friendly welcome from the owner who is always on hand should you need any help or information.

Lovely week in Colwyn Bay and surrounding area.
The cottage itself was as described and was clean, comfortable and had everything we required as a family of 5 to make our stay enjoyable. The cottage was located in a lovely area of Colwyn Bay and had good accessibility for the coast and Snowdonia. The local area had lots of amenities including a superb pub within a 5 minute walk. The owner of the property was lovely and she gave a very useful and informative introduction to the surrounding area on our arrival, we did actually try a number of her sightseeing recommendations and we were not disappointed at all. I really enjoyed the variation of things to do within a 45 minute drive from the house, which included beaches, seal watching, castles, lakes, mountains and more. I was surprised at how tranquil everywhere was especially considering we visited the area during the school holidays, I was expecting large crowds everywhere but it was really quiet, which was nice. Everywhere we went in Wales was really clean and tidy and parking was readily available at all times, mostly free or at least very cheap, unlike some English coastal areas. The only negative I had about the cottage, which wasn’t too much of a negative to be fair, was that the cottage was advertised as being in an acre of garden, which is true, but the description failed to mention that the owners house was also in the same garden, within metres of the cottage, the photos of the cottage and garden were carefully taken for the website so that the owners house could not be seen, which I found a bit misleading. I purposely chose the cottage thinking I could allow my dogs to freely, and cleanly, exercise in the garden but as the owner and her family were also sharing the same garden I decided not to as it would’ve felt like the wrong thing to do, for that reason I scored the accuracy of the cottage description as a 3, and I think it should be made completely clear for future guests that the cottage is not the only house in the grounds. On the whole though the cottage was good value for money, the location was great, and we had an enjoyable stay.

Fantastic Location
The cottage is ideal for a couple with a dog. ( or maybe a one or two small children) It is very comfortable and has all the facilities and amenities you could wish for. We found the bed to be very comfortable and the bath a place to relax after a long walk. Situated close to the town, it has super dog walks on the door step and a dog friendly beach about 5 mins drive. The Pen Y Bryn Pub is practically around the corner and serves great food at reasonable prices & to top it all it's a Dog friendly pub. There is a supermarket in the centre just in case you've forgotten anything and Llandudno is only a short drive away.

Great cottage in a great area.
Strawberry Mill is a lovely cottage in a beautiful area of North Wales. Colwyn Bay is a charming seaside town situated perfectly to explore the North Wales coastline and Snowdonia National Park. Everywhere is easily reachable as the A55 North Wales Highway runs through Colwyn Bay. The cottage is lovely set on a quiet lane in a picturesque area overlooking the sea. It is ideal for couples and had everything we needed for our stay including Netflix and internet. We travelled with our 2 labs, for which there was no extra charge, making the cottage good value for money. We arrived to find a chocolate cake on the dining room table (it was delicious) which is a nice personal touch. The cottage is well equipped and spacious with nice traditional decor. There is a great pub within a 5 minute walk called the Pen-Y-Bryn which is well worth a visit. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Great cottage, great area, beautiful scenery and some fantastic walks. What more could you want?
