Waterfront- Bring your Kayaks & Fishing Poles!

Quaint Cottage on the Davis Canal, on the quiet western end of Oak Island, 1 block from the beach. Gorgeous views of the marsh and canal! 2 BRs / 2 Baths (both with showers, no tubs) Full Kitchen with dishwasher and cookware. Wifi and Smart TV (no cable service, but you can enjoy Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu!)

Great dock with built-in seating - fish, crab, launch your kayak, or admire the sunrises and sunsets. Note: floating dock during low tide sits on the bottom - which is more suitable for kayaks. Public boat ramp and the new Lonerider restaurant are one block away!

*** ABSOLUTELY NO PETS or SMOKING— we have a daughter with severe allergies.***

Scenic spot with private dock

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to see that the space was larger than the photos suggested. The yard is a nice size, too, and the private dock was great to fish off of and enjoy a nightcap with beautiful views. We even saw a dolphin swim past the channel!

Perfect, relaxing week!

Wonderful house that was spotlessly clean! Views of the water are outstanding. House is actually larger than it appears in pictures and was the perfect size for our family. We loved fishing off the dock and watching the brilliant sunsets. My husband even caught a small shark one night which brought lots of excitement! Watching the dolphin play up close was such a treat. And the close proximity to the ocean was one of the best parts. The only suggestion I could make to make this house any better than it already is would be to have a full outdoor shower rather than just a hose. But other than that, our week was absolutely wonderful and we definitely plan to return. Thanks so much to Angela for sharing her little piece of heaven with us. We are grateful.

Cozy Cottage

We've stayed here a few times and thoroughly enjoy each visit. The house is cozy, comfortable and clean, and its location on the West End of the island is quiet and peaceful. The beach access is just a short walk across the street. Fishing off the dock is a favorite activity for my family. Angela is very sweet and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

Perfect piece of paradise

Have been staying here for years. Would never find a place more perfect for my small family. It has everything we could ever need! Host is by far the best out there and has done everything to make it the perfect getaway.

Picturesque

We have vacationed at this property several times and the feeling has yet to change (you can find my other review). We LOVE this place and all it has to offer. When here, we are able to completely unplug from our busy life. Its CLEAN and the owners are incredibly generous to share their slice of heaven.

Beautiful views

Absolutely beautiful little place for a small family. Quiet area with little to almost no traffic. Walking to distance to the beach is just around the corner. Beautiful views sunset/sunrise from the dock. Crabbing was great and fishing wasn't so bad. Dont forget to go for a Beautiful bike ride. Big thanks to Angela for letting us experience a great vacation, she was easy to communicate with. Would be going back!

Excellent property for fishing and beach time!

We had a wonderful time on a spring break! This was the perfect place for boys who love to fish. We were able to walk out the back door and fish off the back dock. We also had a very easy walk to the beach. The fishing pier is a short drive and we spent a few days enjoying that. Overall, excellent house! Very spacious and clean. Also a quiet neighborhood.

Beautiful rental & perfect weather!

Rental is located in great location with easy walking access to beach and beautiful waterfront views on the ICW. Very clean and cozy! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again. The only negative was the mattresses on both queen beds need to be replaced. Our son & DIL both agreed their mattress was not comfortable nor was the one on the bed my husband and I shared. Other than that, the home was perfect! We could not have asked for more perfect weather than we had the last week of October. Beautiful weather every day!

It was nice and quiet and the place was very clean and spacious. My only problem was that there were no curtains in the bedroom to block out the sunlight in the mornings. I am a night shifter and not an early riser so curtains would have been nice to have. Overall a very nice place to stay.

All was just great. Peaceful! Will rent again. However, recommend checking with host when landscapers are coming, so you can move your car out of the way!

Long weekend vacay

Easy walk to beach. Perfect for fishermen. Best of both worlds. Don’t miss the sunrise and sunset. Bicycles were a plus. Be sure to ride them to the point for the sunset. No regrets!

Fabulous Vintage Cottage!!!

The house was extremely clean and comfortable. Yes, it’s an older house (one off the first on the island) but it has been very well maintained and is perfect for a small group. We loved the well stocked kitchen as well as all other furnishings and decorative touches. You simply can’t beat the location. The best of both worlds.. waterway out the back door and the beach a block the other direction. We even caught dinner (shrimp, crab, croaker, and black drum) off the dock! The sunrises and sunsets were amazing. Will definitely stay again… maybe next time for a few weeks. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Better than advertised!

This was our first time vacationing at a North Carolina beach, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The home was bright, spacious and well-equipped. The neighborhood was very quiet and the view from the large back deck was spectacular. The beach was uncrowded and access was only a short 1/2 block from the cottage. Angela - the owner - was very responsive and friendly. There is one restaurant on the bay which is a 3 minute walk from the cottage; otherwise it’s an easy 3 to 6 mile drive to other shops and restaurants.

July 4th 2023 Week

Very clean and extremely peaceful here. Much better than even Holden, and Holden is great…and 10 times better than the SC beaches in our opinion. Easy access to beach which wasn’t crowded even with it being the 4th week. Also, fireworks were everywhere and extremely entertaining watching from deck.

Absolute perfection

This place was clean, stocked, and the location can’t be beat! If you’re a fisherman, this place is for you! Comfy beds, cold AC chairs and an awesome beach cart, bikes, and so many small details that made it perfect! Angela was very thoughtful and quick to respond. After we arrived we realized one of the bikes had been broken, she had a new one delivered within the hour! We will be back next year!!!

Spectacular views!

The location of this house was the best! A very short and easy two minute walk to the ocean, and the most wonderful view of the waterway and dock. The view out the windows and from the back deck never got old - I didn’t anticipate how relaxing it would be, and how much it would add to the vacation feel. The house itself was super comfortable for lounging in the evenings and the kitchen was wonderful for cooking all our meals. Everything exactly as described, clean, and welcoming. I would return in a heartbeat. Thank you to Angela for good communication throughout the booking, check in, and check out process.

Beach Vacation

This was our second stay and everything was perfect, as usual. The home is very clean, comfortable, and is just a short walk to the beach. It is the best of both worlds for families with fishermen as well as beach goers.

This trip was our second time here. We had to make some date changes just beforehand, no issues. Place is clean just like the time before. Space is what we needed. Location is perfect for the fishing people, beach people, and those enjoy a book with great scenery. What a way to relax!

Dock on the Water and the lush marsh! A quick stroll to the beach (just a block away) GORGEOUS sunrise and sunset. We are on the quiet end of the island, with owner-occupied neighbors. Peaceful!
