A step back into the 60's

Mid-century Marvelous

Loved this property; roomy, adorable, comfortable. We had a rough few days of marathon realtor house hunting. This great spot was our refuge at the end of the long days. Loved it!

Perfect mid century home!

My family really enjoyed our time in the home and found it well stocked and clean on arrival. It was more than big enough for my family with plenty of room to spread out after a long day(s) of hiking, This was our first time to Colorado Springs and we lucked out being so close to Cheyenne Canyon Park, it was by far our favorite area. We hope to be back many more times!

Great stay

Rented house to have some extra room as we visited our son for USAFA parents weekend. Was a fantastic property that allowed us to all relax and have some of our own space for getting up, going to bed, etc. Hopefully it will be available when we have future visits.

Perfect Home

We absolutely loved staying in this home. It was perfect in every way. Looking out at the mountains from the living and dining room was such a beautiful view. We loved all of the small touches that the owners put in place. It was perfect for our family to be able to explore all of the beauty of Colorado Springs and then return to a place where we sat and played board games in the evening and cooked meals as a family. Our 3 boys now call it their Home Away From Home! Reading the history of the house made it even more special and it was an honor to stay there and experience life at a slower pace for a few days.

Mid-Century Modern Paradise!

We stayed at this fabulous home during the week of July 8th. Immediately upon our arrival, we were simply giddy with the home. This home has been thoughtfully restored and updated - but leaving those little Mid-Century Modern gems that make it so unique. The guest book told us all we needed to know to function and relax in the home. The ping pong table in the garage was a lovely surprise to my kids. The home was immaculate and full of simple little pleasures - like the Coors Banquet in the fridge (reminded us of our grandfathers), the old-school candies in the candy dish, the board games awaiting the kids (I never thought they'd even look at them but they actually unplugged and played one or two!!! Miracles never cease!!!), it was splendid. The beds are comfortable, even the furniture was surprisingly comfortable! The back patio was a nice location for the adults to relax after a day of sight-seeing - especially with the kids playing ping pong nearby. It hurt our hearts to leave such a warm and welcoming home! Thanks to Frank & Susan & family for creating such a spectacular home for your guests!

A great quiet homes less than two miles from the Broadmore Hotel

A time capsule dedicated to the owners parents and their family home, the stay there was like stepping back into the 1960’s complete with original counter tops stove oven even throwback spices and ash trays. Not sure if oven and stove are operational, in mint antique condition I wouldn’t want to use them so bring take out which we always do so no worries. Front of house is freshly decorated and bright, back of house is original. Great master bed, other two were moderate. I grew up in a house exactly like this in the 1960’s so for me as a child 5 people didn’t seem crowded. Today two adults, two teenage girls, and my 6’5 son from the academy trying to use two full beds and a queen too in three bedrooms all fed off a small back living area with two small 1960’s bathrooms seemed very tight but we had fun. Much of the charm was lost on the teenage girls but certainly no endictment on the home or the great effort the family takes to honor their parents. Loved the story provided of her father at the Academy and his favorite Coors beer along with a fresh 6 pack in the ice box of which I found it the only honorable thing to do to honor her father and their fighting Texas Aggie roots but to oblige. Great 1960’s neighborhood. Very quiet with big trees and fresh air floral surroundings just by walking outside. My wife with two smaller kids or another couple who would flip a coin over the master bed would most certainly stay again. House was clean, plenty of towels. It’s hard for some people to appreciate the effort that goes into keeping an almost 60 year old home original. Lost on many that natural wear (patina) on counter tops walls and bathroom sink for instance doesn’t mean unclean. Great place close to cool stuff we spent a day walking around Broadmore which is free and open to public and an experience that should not be missed. Priced right and charming. New carpet in the back, more lighting and swap one of the new fancy couches in the front for a cool couch big enough to stretch out on and add a Tv up front so I could have escaped my family on top of each other in the back (use the whole house for living space) and this house easily gets 4 stars. Thank you for the hospitality.

Great location and a trip down memory lane

House is well appointed but very old. All of the furniture, rugs and towels are new and clean. Utilities are old to preserve the honor of the parents that lived there for years. If you take a laptop be sure to take a two to three prong adapter because almost all of the electrical outlets are two prong. The living area is huge but there is no tv and where the tv is, is a little uncomfortable. It would be great for a family. Location is great for both the broadmoor and manitou Springs, garden of the gods.

The property was clean comfortable and quiet. There were several amenities to enhance our stay. Location worked well for us. Issues: Master bath drained very slowly, could have used a second key, branches over the drive need trimming.

Great Stay at 3BR Colorado Springs house

My family enjoyed their stay at this 3BR Colorado Springs property. The house was very clean and also minutes away from the Olympic Training Center. The owner and property manager were very helpful and available to answer questions if needed. My family liked the vintage 60's decor and would gladly stay here again.

Impressive home with gorgeous views of the mountai

A beautiful, open, inviting house! It is equipped with everything you could ever need while vacationing or on business. Great backyard, ping pong table in the garage, and it was close to fast food restaurants and gas stations. We felt safe while there and the neighbors couldn't have been nicer.
