We rented this waterfront property for the close proximity to the beach. My family was very pleased with the soft sand and privacy of the beach. It was enjoyable to walk up and down the beach at all hours of the day. The amenities at the house were nice (Viking oven, newer washer/dryer /frig/dishwasher). We rent 4-5 properties a year and this one was well-stocked with TP, paper towels, garbage bags, cleaner, laundry/dish soap, Saran/foil, spices, sharp kitchen knives, wood, kindling, matches, etc.. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels for showering. The family couch had cushions with feathers that were floating around but, was cozy to sit on. We used the Adirondack chairs on the deck for playing cards, as well as the Adirondack chairs around the firepit for s'mores. Plenty of seating was available outside to accommodate various activities. My family wanted to sleep in the house, so I took the bunk house to myself, "Mommas Retreat." Hulu, Netflix, and Disney streaming were a plus--even in the bunk house! The front door lock broke and the deadbolt would not retract. I contacted Ryan the property manager and he fixed the lock in no time (really a great guy-- I need him to move by Northville). The property is close to several nature preserves that we liked hiking through. We saw baby skunks, fawns, fox kits, and herons. We spent a day kayaking down Bear River and used our own kayak in the lake at the property. If you are looking to rent a boat, I would recommend Lake-to-Lake rental. We spent a day on Walloon Lake tubing with our teens. Overall the property has a nice location and was enjoyed by my family for a little, 1-week getaway. Thank you, Jack.
