About this property
Family-friendly bayside home. Walkable to ferry landing.
This remodeled, furnished home is available for July and early August. Located one block from Ferry Landing, its location is ideal for the fireworks almost every night in summer, but especially on the on the 4th of July. Situated on a quiet street, it is 1-3 blocks from restaurants, grocery stores, and playgrounds for families with small children. The local FREE summer shuttle is located roughly 300 yards from our front door, and is a great way to get around the island in summer! Our kids love the free shuttle! It travels the length of the island and you can get off and on as many times as you like!
Our front porch is very inviting, and we spend a lot of time out there enjoying life in the village. Our bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards, surfboards, and paddle boards will all be accessible for full use.
As the pictures show, the home has recently been renovated. It has newly finished hardwood floors throughout. The open floor plan creates a welcoming kitchen with large island that flows into the living room. The family room flows onto a back patio.
There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs, one of which, is en suite. Upstairs is the master bedroom and bath, a second bedroom and bath and a loft and balcony with views of downtown.
The back patio is perfect for entertaining. This space includes an outdoor kitchen, built in grill, refrigerator, and bar with seating. A gas fire pit, and the hot water outdoor shower is the perfect way to end a day of beach, or bay time!

We have lived in Coronado since 1999 and we are so happy and blessed to be able to call this our home! As a family of five, we are entrenched in everything this island has to offer. Schools, camps, restaurants, great neighbors, and an amazing way of life. We spend a lot of time both at the beach, and on the bay. If you have any questions about the island or San Diego, please do not hesitate to ask. We love sharing our favorite things with others!
Why they chose this property
This property would be great for anyone interested in having a real Coronado Summer. We love to kick back on our front porch, walk to the local bars and restaurants, and enjoy the town as much as possible. Our kids fish off the dock at Ferry Landing, pedal their bikes everywhere, and go to concert in the park every Sunday!
What makes this property unique
The location of our home is really wonderful. We are walkable distance to a lot of great things. Tidelands park, and Ferry landing are very close. If you would like to kayak, paddleboard, or take the ferry to the Gaslamp District (downtown), or the baseball field, we are the perfect location. There are two grocery stores also within blocks of our home. One store is a Smart and Final Extra (fantastic), and the other is Boneys, which is a specialty market similar to Whole Foods and TraderJoes.
Tidelands park is great for those with kids. There is also a skatepark located at Tidelands.
Some of our favorite locally owned and operated restaurants are also within a couple of blocks: CBC (Coronado Brewing Company), Saiko Sushi, Rosemary Trattoria (Italian) and Little Piggy's BBQ are just a few of our favorite places to walk to get dinner and a drink.
We can also share many of the great things San Diego has to offer over the bridge. There are so many things to do here it can be a bit overwhelming. We will definitely be able to help you narrow down your options based on our luck of being stationed here for so long. We hope you love it in paradise as much as we do!
