Great rental
Our family had a wonderful vacation at Bouttime. It is in a beautiful residential quiet neighborhood with a view to the ocean. The house was immaculate. The kitchen was well stocked. Robert met us and was available if we had any concerns- which we didn’t. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was appreciated. We lived on the large covered porch

Great Place!
Can definitely recommend this villa, the booking process with the UK owners was very easy and we received an extremely warm and helpful welcome from their family on arrival in Barbados. The house is less than a year old, very spacious and well equipped and the neighbourhood is quiet but very friendly. We also got a great discount on car rental by mentioning that we were staying in this villa. We enjoyed exploring the island but ended up spending most of our time relaxing by the pool at the house. Hopefully this will be the first of many visits!

Fantastic Villa
This was our second stay in Bout Time and it was just as fabulous as the first. The villa is spacious, very clean and very well equipped. It is in a perfect location for families - quiet but within walking distance of a beach, although you will need a car if you want to venture further afield. The pool is definitely an added bonus and has spoiled my children with regard to what they now consider a must-have. The large outdoor covered area is also a great feature - we ate outside for every meal at the villa and did not have to worry about the rays of the hot sun. All in all a great place to stay - we will be back!

Best Vacation Ever
We had the most fantastic time at Bouttime. We were pleasantly surprised at everything. Bright, spacious, clean and comfortable home. Fully equipped with everything needed for a vacation- just bring a few pieces of summer clothes any you're all set. Well stocked grocery stores are a short drive away. Great quiet location. Lying on a deck chair, reading a book and listening to the waves were priceless. The hosts has thought of everything to make our stay memorable- down to a mini library and Alexa. The grounds are well maintained and the maid who came mid week did an awesome job tidying up. All our queries before and during our stay were responded to promptly. We are already looking forward to coming back soon. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to vacation in Barbados Thanks Robert, Richard. Pete and Maggie.

A little bit of paradise!
Just got back home from an amazing week in Barbados at Bouttime villa! Can’t say enough good things about this home. Upon arrival, we were met by Robert who was so helpful, explaining the features of the house and giving recommendations for restaurants on the island. The house itself is so comfortable – big common areas and a large kitchen with everything you need. The bedrooms are spacious and AC makes it very pleasant for sleeping at night. We truly enjoyed spending time on the outdoor veranda, lounging by the pool and having dinner. The best part was always returning home after a hot morning spent travelling the island in the hot sun and swimming in the pool. Being a family who surf, we highly recommend Ride the Tide on Freights Bay for board rentals or lessons and surfing with the turtles. Be sure to try dinner at Marco Polo and breakfast at Cutters – delicious and inexpensive with great outdoor seating. Buy some fish at the local fish market in Oistins and cook it up on the bbq provided at the house. Take a day cruise with snorkeling on Small Cats Catamarans. Thanks again to the Cox family for sharing this little bit of paradise with us! We hope to be back again!

Spacious private house with pool
We enjoyed our stay at Bouttime, it's huge - 3 bedrooms, large living areas and utility room, garage, it just goes on and on. All kitted out with everything you need for the home or the beach. Off street parking, too. The veranda and pool were great, we spent a lot of time just relaxing there, before wandering down to the local beaches to stroll. Pete handled the pre-arrivial communications well, and Robert showed us around the house and explained everything, before guiding us to the local supermarket, most appreciated! This house is ideal for families, too, so we would come again with kids. The area is mostly residential, there's only really the Crane resort nearby, so it's not like the West or South Coast areas of Barbados - you won't find lots of beach bars and restaurants around. But for a self-catering stay, this place is superb and good value.

Perfect villa
The photos just don't do it justice. The villa is so spacious and well equipped and perfect for a family holiday. We stayed in August and were worried it might be too hot but with the cooling sea breeze on that part of the coast and the villa pool we were able to work on our tans and not worry about overheating. The air conditioning in all the bedrooms made for easy sleeping. The best holiday ever, thank you Bout Time x

Girls' Trip of a Lifetime!
This rental is wonderful, to the point that in writing this I was a bit apprehensive because I don't want to make it so popular that the cost goes up, or becomes too popular to rent. The house is fantastic, and space is not an issue. The bedrooms are nicely spread out, but close enough for a family feel. The layout allows for privacy as well. Pros-I love the location, it is close enough to Crane, and other beaches. The house has everything you could need. Grill, full kitchen, sheets, towels, washing machine, close line, pool, furniture for outside dinning. You name it! Things to remember- Paper towels, napkins, laundry detergent, insect spray/citronella candles. Food and snacks, as groceries are very expensive on the island. Some things to do- Rent a car, go to Cutters restuarant nearby (they deliver), drink a Banks, Cool Runnings catamaran cruise, hang out with the locals. I have been coming to the island for 25 years, and I consider some of the Bajans my family. They are wonderful people! Cons- No AC (but they said they were getting a unit for one bedroom soon) That is the only thing I could say was a con.....and I knew going I would be warm. There are fans in each room, but sometimes it isn't enough. I hope to be back ASAP~ It was a wonderful time.

" 2 Great weeks in Barbados"
This was our first vist to Barbados and right from our arrival at the airport when we were met and taken to Bout Time we were made to feel very welcome. Bout Time is very well positioned being only a short drive from the airport but far enough to be peaceful. The Crane beach is only a couple of minutes drive away and is a lovely white sanded beach with lifeguards on duty. The Crane Hotel is next to the beach and non residents are welcome to use it for food and drinks. Barbados is only a small island car hire is quite expensive but is the only way to really explore. Driving is on the left and most of the main towns/areas are well sign posted. We only got lost a few times. There are lots of places to explore including gardens and houses belonging to the National Trust of Barbados. Lots of beaches to explore some of which you will find are empty and if you take a picnic or barbacue you can really enjoy some peace and quiet. Bout Time itself we found was very easy to settle into. We bought food from the supermarket up the road which stocks a suprising amount of UK products so if you have kids it would be easy to find food they are used to.The kitchen at Bout Time is very well set up and along with the barbacue supplied we found it really easy to eat at the villa. We really enjoyed our stay at Bout Time and if like us you prefer to be away from the main tourist areas but to be able to visit them if you need to and to be able to explore the island on your own then Bout time is a very good choice.Coming back after a morning exploration and being able to cool off in your own pool with a cool drink was an added bonus. We are booked to return to Bout Time next year and are counting down the days till we are back on the beach on the recliners with a rum punch.

BOUT TIME VILLA IN BARBADOS.
WHEN YOU VIEW PROPERTIES ON LINE OR IN MAGAZINES, WHEN YOU BOOK THEM AND THEN GET THERE SOMETIMES THEY LEAVE A LOT TO BE DESIRED. NOT SO WITH BOUT TIME HOLIDAY VILLA.ITS EVERYTHING YOU SEE AND MORE. BEAUTIFULLY MAINTAINED, INSIDE AND OUT ,SPACIOUS , AIRY . THE POOL WAS CLEAN AND ALSO MAINTAINED DURING OUR STAY AS WAS THE WHOLE PROPERTY. FACILITIES INSIDE ARE EXCELLENT ,CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SECOND TOO NONE. THE VILLA IS SITUATED IN A QUITE AREA WITH 3-4 VERY NICE BEACHES NEAR BY. AND ONLY 35 MINUTES DRIVE FROM THE MAIN TOURIST AREA,20 MINUTES FROM THE AIRPORT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY TO ANYONE WISHING FOR A PERFECT PLACE TO STAY IN BARBADOS.

Brilliant time!
My partner and I went to Bout time with two other couples and we had a wonderful time. The house is very big so we had more than enough space and the huge outdoor area lends itself well to dining/entertaining. We had lots of BBQs and spent a lot of time lazing on the sun loungers and on a lilo in the pool. We mixed dining out with cooking in as there's a very large kitchen with all the mod cons. The house is in a lovely spot - very peaceful and it gets a nice sea breeze because it's on the south east coast. We'd definitely recommend it.

Fabulous Holiday
Two weeks after our return we already have withdrawl symptoms and are planning our return. Firstly the house: it was perfect. The space, layout, facilities and atmosphere were perfect for a relaxing but everything you need in normal life holiday. The veranda and pool encouraged you to get into the Barbadous time lines while the kitchen, laundrey and tv allowed you to play in normal life if you wanted to. By day 4 we were incredibly chilled (having very pressurised jobs in London this was almost a miracle ...) and only cooked a few nights by BBQ and never watched the TV! Pete, Maggie, Richard, & Robert were great hosts and looked after every need. It is nice to know you have a friendly point of contact if you needed it (we did not thankfully). It is also a very nice touch that a mobile phone is provided, Secondly the area: you do need a car .. we hired a mini Molke and although it was obiously a tourist car we had great fun in it. There are a couple of local places to eat we can recommend although both a 'little' on expensive side compared to other eateries avialiable; The Crane Hotel and Cutters. The Crane is good for poolside drinks while Cutters serve one of the best rum puches (the other a tikki hut on Accra Beach). Thirdly the island in general; what fun! we visited in May so fairly quiet but we were never bored. The people were friendly and the beaches pristine,,. of course all helped by the rum punch. We were so relaxed in the villa that the only excursion we did was a 2hr ride with Steve Downie along the beaches around Holetown and Sandy Lane. My partner had never riden before and he is now hooked it was such good fun, As already stated we are already planning our return so a big thank you to Pete, Maggie and family for letting us share their home.

Spacious Villa in great location
We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Bouttime. Maggie and Pete were very helpful during booking and even arranged for groceries to be waiting for us on arrival. Arriving to an ice cold beer after the long journey was perfect. We stayed there with friends from the US who have a 4 year old daughter, They loved the pool - the size and location were perfect for her and she even swam her first few strokes on the holiday. Everything about the house was perfect - it was really well laid out both inside and out and was ideal for a group or family. The location is perfect for people who want to chill out but if you want bars or restaurants within walking distance this isn't for you. We loved Cutters and also ate at the Crane - a timeshare resort with a number of restaurants, bar, shops, etc - a few times. The set price 3 course meal at the Azure, in particular, was excellent. We also had a great day at the Cockspur Beach Club on the West Coast - but be warned you are near the port and have the bottling plant behind you so not all the views were idyllic but we thought it was all part of the Barbados charm :) We liked St Nicholas Abbey and the drive there was beautiful. We loved having our "own" beaches within walking distance. And everyone was very friendly, no hassle on beaches from people trying to sell to you and it all felt very safe. On the downside we did get stuck in some awful traffic in and around Bridgetown - avoid that area between 4pm and 7pm, All in all a great place and highly recommended.

Wonderful Villa in a Perfect Setting
Positioned close to the SE coast near the famous Crane Beach, this villa is the perfect way to enjoy the real Barbados. After a warm and informative welcome from Robert we relaxed in the warm pool before getting a great nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. The villa is spacious and airy with every possible convenience. We especially enjoyed barbecuing fresh fish on the gas barby, and drinking some iced rum punch from Cutter's Deli nearby. Highlights for us were Oistins Fish Market - many little restaurants offering freshly caught fish, Harlequin and Pisces at St Lawrence Gap, and the Roundhouse on the stunning east coast at Bathsheba. Finally, a trip on "Cool Runnins" is a must. Highly recommended, We will be back!

A Slice of Paradise
Dear Pete and Maggie... our week here was truly a slice of heaven. The villa's open air floor plan made it possible for the gorgeous sea breeze to be a welcome guest in every room. The kitchen is well-appointed with every gadget and appliance we needed. As West Indians living abroad, we truly appreciated the villa's foliage/landscaping - we took so many pictures of the crotons, hibiscus trees...even the pepper bushes. The villa's decor is thoughtfully put together, as is the design and furnishings: a full shower that one has access to from the exterior so we didn't have to track beach sand through the house, the GPS for the car that came with the villa so we could find our way on our adventures, the access to cable TV ( although we never turned it on once, it was nice to know we could if we wanted to!), the grill, the local cell phone left for us with just enough time on it for us to call restaurants for reservations, or arrange excursions. The pool is a 4-foot pool so it was perfect for our 3-year old to "swim" with us. We rented a car from Stoute's as you recommended and it was a seamless transaction. We went to Miami, Carlisle and Mullins Beaches, Harrison's Cave, The Wildlife Preserve, Jammin Catamaran Cruise ( excellent experience with them!), Earthworks, Oistens for fresh fish from the fishermen, and Chilly Moos for ice cream :) Every place we wanted to go was no more than 45 minutes drive, which surprised us because we went all over the island! Supermarkets were close enough too. The villa was heavenly to come home to after we explored and there were several nights after the kids were asleep that we relaxed at the pool and enjoyed the breeze and the sound of the ocean. The short walk to the ocean cliff took us to a breathtaking view - a photographer's dream. The people of Barbados were warm and welcoming. Jan, Richard and Robert were excellent greeters. Thank you for opening up your home to us. We hope to be back next year. :) Two humble recommendations: (1) more trees separating the pool from the street to increase privacy (2) a beach umbrella and beach chairs, as most of the beaches had little shade and regular umbrella rentals at the beach could become costly and it could dictate when you go as well because the rental guys start packing up around 3:30 or 4:00. Always, Cecil, Vonetta, Grayson and Graham Rivers

Beautiful Barbados
Our second trip to the lovely Barbados after a 3rd you become half barbadian!.....so we was told. Bout time was the perfect location, not too far & not too close to the tourist hub. Supermarket 10min drive for all those self catering needs or Belair variety (10 stroll) for basics. Villa is spacious & very well equipped to say the least, which never felt like you was under each others feet. Terrace & garden picture perfect. Be sure to listen to the sunset theme on the radio at 17.56 while downing the first drink of the evening! Loved the ice maker, crushed or cubed...a must have for all those rum punches. Ceiling fans plus additional fans & walk in showers to cool after the heat of the day. Local beaches are stunning if a little too rough for swimming but no shortage of others to take the waters. Car hire is a must if you want to get out & explore. Take advantage of the discounted rates. The sounding of horns is not road rage but locals greeting each other or acknowledging a gesture on the road. Watch out for the potholes & the cyclists who never use lights. The island may be small but the road network is large. We had so many varied days..too many to list but a few of our favs: Oistins Fish fry on friday, great selection, mahi mahi, snapper, tuna & of course flying fish. Good value & a very buzzy atomsphere as the evening wears on. St. Nicholas Abbey.....not an Abbey but a Jacobean mansion & plantation, gardens, orchards & gullies. Not to mention the rum making! The east coast, breathtaking....stunning. Island life suited us as did Bout time. We will be back!

Superb St Philip Location
We spent Christmas at Bouttime, arriving on 24 Dec. The house is ideally located just 100 metres from the coast and benefits from an easterly outlook and warm breeze from the shore. It is spacious and airy with a beautiful shaded sun terrace leading to the infinity pool. For a family of 6 it has every home convenience- all of high quality and immaculately presented. The open plan kitchen has modern appliances, including a full size dishwasher, eye level electric oven and gas hob. There are ample worktops and cupboards that reveal a complete household inventory. Each bedroom has access to shower facilities. There are washing and drying facilities, along with a garage for parking a hire car away from the afternoon sunshine. Furnishings and media entertainment are of a high quality and more than adequate for a family with youngsters wanting their own space and privacy. You could get lost in this bungalow. Drive time from the airport is around 10 minutes and to the nearest centre, around 20 minutes. Driving in Barbados is on the left, stress free and presents no difficulties. Driving the entire island takes a day at most (about 100 miles) and is a pleasure, with friendly Bajans offering an acknowledgement at every opportunity. Recommendations are dependent on interest, but there are plenty of unique places to see and a variety of beach locations offering everything from sun worship to surfing. Our experience was totally positive and Barbados is a wonderful island with a friendly and welcoming population. Bouttime has everything included. Air conditioning would be a great addition - especially for the balmy summertime nights. We would recommend spending a day on a catamaran trip, viewing the coastline and swimming with turtles - fabulous! All in all a great location and Barbados is a wonderful holiday destination. 5 stars.
