Nice quiet location

Overall the location was great. It was nice having a place that was a little ways away from the traffic and busyness of town. Great communication from owners. Only real complaints is the T.P. that was supplied was not ideal but was remedied with a stop to the store.

Smokies Spring break

We had a great spring break getaway with our teens. The house accommodated the 4 of us with plenty of space to spread out. We enjoyed the hot tub with spectacular views. The neighborhood is perfect with amazing views and away from all the hubbub of Gatlinburg. Easily accessible to the park. We enjoyed a day at Dollywood, Cade’s Cove, Abram Falls Hike, Lynn Camp Falls Hike via Middle Prong Trail, a drive on the Foothills Parkway with a hike to Look Rock. Great breakfast at Hillbillies and pizza from Sloppy Hog. Great getaway!

Property was nice, didn’t care much for it being so close to other cabins. Really didn’t show that in the pictures. Overall, enjoyed the stay and the place was as expected.

Very nice property

We enjoyed the cabin's woodsy charm with the safety of a community close by. We didn't see any wildlife but maybe next time.

Great place

The cabin was just as pictured in the listing! It was really cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. Be prepared for steep hills and twists and turns to get there but it is very worth the drive!! Beautiful views!

Cabin Village Getaway

The cabin was well maintained and had everything we needed. We loved that they had a little Christmas tree up and everything had a homey feel. Besides the other cabins, it was very secluded and even with the other cabins, it was still quiet. We loved the view and the extra amenities like the game machine, pool table, and hot tub. Our family had a wonderful time and highly recommend to anyone looking for a cabin in Gatlinburg!

Perfect cabin

My sister and I stayed here and we loved it. It was an awesome cabin. Great location a little ways out of town from pigeon forge but a great place. Everything was perfect. We even got to see a mama bear and 3 baby bears near our cabin and one big bear right outside our bedroom window.

Nice cozy cabin with a beautiful view

This was a nice cozy cabin in the preserve resort. Although having other cabins nearby it still felt very private and peaceful! It has a beautiful view of the mountain ridges. Everything was as described. Overall we were very happy with this cabin and enjoyed our stay! Would recommend. The property owners were very easy to work with as well.

Decent For Staying w/ Pets

We stayed 5 nights with my family of 5, my in-laws, and our 2 small dogs during the week of Christmas. They had a Christmas tree set up which was a lovely touch to our holiday stay. The cabin layout was as expected and had plenty of room for all of us. Wish there were extra linens and blankets available though. Cleanliness could definitely improve, but wasn’t terrible. Cookware and cooking utensils were very lacking. The furniture was worn and covered in pet hair (not our own). For the price we paid, we were expecting top notch, but overall, our experience wasn’t bad.

The location of the cabin was perfect. It was quiet and serene. We did have several bears but they didn’t bother us. The neighbor is populated enough to be safe but quiet enough to enjoy the peace.

The cabin is very spacious. High ceilings, plus the loft and floor to roof windows in the back are a plus. Quick drive into wears valley, I recommend the brunch at Elvira’s cafe on Sunday. Get the quiche.

Trouble getting in!

Arrived after the check in time and we had not received the pass code. Contacted the owner about the pass code and he said that we had not said if we were bringing a pet or not. When we filled out the application we indicated that we were not bringing a pet. He then gave us a pass code by text that was incorrect. After about an hour he finally sent the correct code.As far as the cabin, the ice maker didn’t work,The windows were filthy, the temperature was set at 55 degrees on the thermostat with winter temperatures outside. We had to ride around for an hour and half until the cabin heated up after driving 6 hours to get there.Obviously we don’t recommend this cabin.

Disappointing

The first night the hot tub was not hot. The second day we were going to get in and the water in the tub was dirty with stuff floating around. The bathmats up stairs were dirty. The bottom had dog hair and human hair on them. We had to go buy toilet paper and paper towels. The floors hadn’t been swept good. The property manager would take hours to respond. One time up to about 15 hours. I felt as though they only made excuses for everything. Needless to say our 20 wedding anniversary accommodations was very disappointing.

Great Quiet Location and Amazing Nature & Views!

The location is quiet and cozy nestled in the mountains. Have stayed in the same resort area before and knew what to expect. The cabin was as pictured on the site, so no surprises there. However one very disappointing factor was the cleanliness of the cabin. Crumbs were all over the floor and wrappers under the main bed and in the dresser draws. The floors needed a good wash or two as well. The cleaning service needs to step up in a major way. Every evening we had bears visit the property and surrounding cabins. The evening visits by the bears were awesome to take in! If you are looking for a quite mountainside retreat filled with nature, this cabin will not disappoint. Nice quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg, but still close enough to drive to. The owners were quick to respond and easy to access when needed.

Spring break

The drive up to the cabin was great! Loved the winding roads and scenery. The overall stay was good. The upstairs bed cover had a hole in it and wasnt very warm. The upstairs batnroom toilet got plugged everytime we would flush it. The jacuzzi tub jets didnt work. Or we just couldnt figure it out, which was fine. The hot tub was nice, but smelled a little funky, like there wasnt any chemicals in it. The view was great, they did cut down some trees so the view of the mountains were great! My kids had no complaints, they loved the arcade and pool table. Great location to small town stores and coffee shops. We loved that we had to drive through the great smoky mountains to get to Gatlinburg! Overall we had a great Spring break

Not clean

We got to the property, to settle in. The bedroom downstairs smelled terrible- like a dirty locker room, the hot tub had green algae in the filter and looked like the tub had never been scrubbed. The host responded quickly but wasn’t quick to fix the problem. She stated she would send the cleaning person by the next day. I went out and bought cleaning supplies and cleaned and washed all of the bedding. Apparently the smell was from soured bed linens. I guess the cleaning service came by the next day while we were gone. There contribution was an air freshener on the bed side table and I think they drained the hot tub. We did not use it. Would have liked to have seen the host be more proactive. The house is ok. Needs a lot of updating . Apparently the terrible smell the

My husband and I fell in love with Smokies when we came to visit the first time with my 3 boys and parents. Romancing the Clouds gives me the getaway I need from my daily routine and still have my kids with me. We love traveling and vacationing. It might be staying at 5 stars hotels, exploring another country, bag packing adventure trip, or glamping we done it. Smokies is my all time favorite destination because of the smoky mountains and bears in the wilderness. Hiking and relaxing in the hot tub with glass of wine is my favorite thing to do when I am there. Romancing the Clouds can have my kids under one roof with me and we still have a nice blend of romantic getaway, outdoor activities, relaxation.

The highest compliment you can give Romancing the Clouds, is come visit us again or refer your friend. We would be DELIGHTED!
