Excellent Experience
Beytagh is a wonderful Southern Home with all the grandeur, charisma and eccentricity that one might expect on a trip to beautiful and lively Savannah. Add to this Paul's attention to detail and GENUINE caring that you enjoy your stay, and you simply can not go wrong booking this property. Easy parking, pet-friendly and just around the corner from one of Savannah's stunning "squares" plus being able to walk anywhere you are likely to want to go while in this exciting city, this comfortable and welcoming property will reward you for visiting. Very highly recommended!

Lovely mid-week stay
In town for 3 days mid-week, home is absolutely lovely and very comfortable. Paul is a most gracious host and provided us with all we needed to enjoy our stay, including recommendations. Would love to stay here again and would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable home in a great location.

The owner was very gracious and accommodating.
The house was immaculate, and conveniently located in a safe neighborhood, within walking distance to everything. The beds are very comfortable, and the house is stocked with everything you could possibly need. One note is that you can hear a lot of noise in the front bedroom, but earplugs drown out the majority of it. The back bedroom is very quiet. There is a lovely patio in the back of the house where you can sit and drink your morning coffee or have wine in the evening. The owner really helped us enjoy our stay and is highly recommended.

Wonderful atmosphere in a period home. You know you are in the South when you stay here! Owner very accommodating. Very clean and filled with conveniences. Facing busy street/ transition neighborhood but quick walk to river, squares, all the places you want to go. Never have to drive if you don't want to. Street parking readily available. So nice to have a dog friendly place to stay. Very grateful.

This was a very nice location.
We so enjoyed Savannah GA, what a wonderful town to visit. There is so much to do there. This house was very nice and the owner was very accommodating. The road in front of this property was a little noise but all in all a great stay.

amazing historical property with all the ammenities.
From the first glimpse inside the house it was a dream come true. Perfect restoration and beautifully appointed. Our host had thought of everything from beginning to end. We were able to easily walk to all of the historical sites and as a perk if you are staying in the historical area and use Old Savannah Trolley Tour, with a simple phone call they will come to your door and pick you up and bring you back. Our host provided for anything we could have wanted. Would stay in this home again. The only slight negative is the street noise on E. Broad Street as it is a main thorough fare.

Great location, great stay
We had a great time in Savannah and Beytagh House worked perfectly for us. It was great to fix coffee and breakfast at home and then walk to everything we wanted to see in Savannah. Paul helped with restaurant recommendations and if we needed anything, he was quick to follow-up. We'd stay here again.

Stylish Savannah Home Away From Home
Beytagh House exceeded our expectations on all fronts. The house is conveniently located for wonderful walks throughout historic Savannah and has easy parking nearby. But its coup de grace is really the care and attention its owner (Paul) has put in to making it a fantastic vacation home. It's always the small touches that mean the most: lights on and music playing to welcome us in, top-quality bed linens and mattress-toppers to make sleep heavenly, dining table set for us upon arrival, and welcome information with loads of tips about restaurants, shops and services. Beytagh is such a beautiful home and easily comfortable for four adults. The communication with the owner was exceptional from booking through to check-out. Questions were answered quickly and helpfully; we were always confident that should there be any issue or further question, he was there to help. And, although there were no issues, we did have questions about the city and its offerings. Simply stated: we felt taken care of in a luxury property - surely that is what 5 stars is all about! We've already recommended the property to friends and family and would return there in a second on a future visit to Savannah (which we hope is sooner rather than later!).

A home made of dreams!
This house is absolutely stunning. I sit in a 5 star hotel writing this from the next leg of my journey, and find myself wishing I was back at Beytagh house with all of its comforts and grace. Every detail of this home makes it a perfect oasis of serenity. Paul is an AMAZING host. He is exactly as helpful as you need him to be and makes sure you want for nothing. I honestly have never loved a vacation rental like I loved this one. It had everything we wanted and more. It is also in the PERFECT location. very quiet, yet a very short walk to TONS of attractions, restaurants, and parks. There is no way anyone could possible regret choosing this as their Savannah home. It is just a dream.

Outstanding Historical Home
For my wife’s birthday we spent the weekend at Paul’s beautiful Beytagh House in Savannah with our miniature schnauzer, Isabella. The location was great and close to all attractions of this historical southern city. The house is exquisitely decorated and full of southern charm. Paul went out of his way in making the home comfortable and fully stocked with all essentials needed for our stay. The Crawford Square location within the Historical District is very safe and walkable to all the best restaurants, parks and squares, yet removed enough that you do not feel crowded with the noise of people walking by your front door. Parking on the street (free) was great...we never had a problem finding a spot close by. We found the front parlor and back patio were our favorite places to relax. Paul is a charming host; very communicative and provides helpful tips and information about what's happening and what restaurants are nearby that you might be interested in. He really cared about our comfort in the house and the neighborhood. All of our inquiries to Paul before and during our stay were answered very quickly via texting. We enjoyed having the opportunity to meet Paul in person on two occasions along with his new sidekick Georgie, a teacup size Chihuahua. We will certainly be back to Beytagh House in the future.

We have stayed in Beytagh House 3 times
We have visited Savannah two or three times a year for the past several years and now would not consider staying anywhere else but Beytagh House. It is beautifully decorated and has everything needed to make your stay most enjoyable. Just bring your clothes and buy groceries. Smiths Meat Market is a block away. Everything in the Historic District is within walking distance. The courtyard is well set up and an ideal place to relax with a book or gather for cocktails. The owner is most pleasant and accommodating. You will surely enjoy your stay.

Truly your home away from home!
My girlfriends and I just spent a wonderful long weekend at Beytagh House. This home has all the C's. It is Charming, Clean, Comfortable, and Convenient. We marveled throughout the weekend as we noticed more and more the attention to detail in decorating this home. Plus, the house was immaculate! Although the decorating and furnishings were upscale, everything has been done with comfort in mind. The beds were very comfortable. The couch and chairs were made for lounging. The kitchen was already stocked with our coffee and creamer. Even though we didn't cook, we noticed that everything needed to do so was available in the cabinets. We enjoyed our snacks and drinks in the lovely courtyard. Parking was available and free. When it was time to explore Savannah, it was a short stroll to River Street or the Market. Also, any restaurant we inquired about was only a brief walk from our temporary home. A notebook was also provided that listed many nearby restaurants along with menus and recommendations. Our experience was enhanced even more by the attentiveness of our host. Paul answered all our questions and he quickly provided not only names but directions and links for any restaurant, establishment, or activity that we inquired about. We felt that we had our own private concierge for the weekend. This is a wonderful place to stay when visiting the city of Savannah. I would definitely reserve this lovely home again.

The property was very clean and so welcoming!
We loved everything about our stay! The house was fantastic, so welcoming! Christmas decorations were still up and that made it even better. The owner has thought of everything, so well amended and accommodating. The directions were precise, everything was spot on! We enjoyed the house and felt very comfortable there. I have told everyone I know about this house and if they ever get to Savannah, this is the place to stay. This was the first time we have ever taken our pet (dog) on vacation. We thank the owner for letting us do that. Savannah is very dog friendly. We walked and walked, the weather was beautiful. We ate at the restaurants that the owner recommended and some that we found out on our own. We ate breakfast at J. Christopher's and Clary's, both were very good. We had dinner at Crystal Beer Palace, 2 nights and it was excellent, great service and worth the wait. We also went to the butcher shop/wine shop around the corner. Great selection. Liberty Street Grille was also a very good meal. (the owner had told us about all of these, very good recommendations!) Please try Cafe M on Bay Street. It is a French bakery/restaurant and is excellent, but you have to get there early. I would not change anything about our stay, other than I wished we could have stayed longer, we did not want to leave....great time and great memory.....Thank you!

Not only does this home offer all the amenties you will need it is also in such a great location! It is so nice to be able to park the car & walk to all the shops, restaurants & the Riverwalk area. Smith Brothers Gourmet Grocery/Butcher shop is a minute walk around the corner offering great items. The house is decorated beautifully, the courtyard is perfect for sitting out in the evenings and Paul the owner is able to guide you in the right directions if you have any questions or concerns. Beytagh is the perfect place to stay when visiting Savannah. Thank You Paul for making our Christmas so enjoyable & comfortable.

As advertised!
My wife and I recently spent 5 nights at the Beytagh House and had an absolutely delightful time. The house was as advertised and was very tastefully decorated and had everything we could have possibly wanted. It is a beautiful old home. For us suburbanites it was a pleasure to be able to park our vehicle and walk to everything we needed or wanted. From this location the historical waterfront in downtown Savannah was roughly a mile away and there were numerous attractions and places to grab a bite to eat all within minutes of the house. (walking distance!) Paul was a very gracious host and while we did not see him he was in daily contact by text with suggestions for the day's activities and with answers to our questions and in general just checking to make sure we had everything we needed. We would not hesitate to stay here again in the future should our travels take us to Savannah once again. I am sure anyone who rents this unit will feel the same as we do. Thank you Paul for a wonderful get away from the real world.

Beytagh - awesome home away from home

Lovely Home in a Perfect Location
The home had everything we needed for a perfect stay in a beautiful city. Located right in the historic district, we were able to walk to many great restaurants, shops, and just seeing the sights around town. The home has a nice decor. Lots of little extra touches made the home cozy and comfortable. The house was perfect for two couples. Especially enjoyed gathering in the parlor in the evening, and having morning coffee in the private courtyard. Owner was very accommodating, leaving city maps and restaurant menus and recommendations that were very helpful. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Savannah.

Savannah Jewel
If you want to really get to know Savannah, Beytagh is the place to stay. This marvelous home was ours for five weeks and we loved every minute. Besides being right in the historic district, the house itself is historic, built in 1872 but updated to the 21st century in every way necessary. There is charm in every design detail without sacrificing convenience. The home was spotless and wonderfully well equipped. We wanted for nothing. The location is great, within walking distance of almost all of Savannah's places of interest; historic sites, museums, churches, shopping, restaurants, bars and dives. It's all there. The owner, Paul, could not have been more accommodating or helpful. He was always there to answer questions and make suggestions, but never intrusive. By the end of our stay were had become close friends. We will definitely be back.

Everything one could want!
From the moment we walked in the front door of Beytagh House, my girlfriend, my daughter-in-law, and I were wowed! The beauty of this extraordinary house is awesome. It has all the modern amenities, such as A/C, ceiling fans, a W/D, showers, etc., but the original (?) hardwood floors and stairs, the fireplaces in virtually all the rooms, and the beautiful interior decorating are amazing, speaking to the history of this 1872 home. I loved imagining the generations of people who had climbed the stairs, sat by the fireplaces, and the views they would have seen out the high-ceiling windows. There are many gorgeous pieces of crystal and silver in the house, lovely rugs and live plants, paintings and other art reflecting eras from the early 19th through the 20th centuries, adding elegance to the home. (If you have small and/or rambunctious children, this would not be a good choice for you.) The house was very clean and tidy, and we loved the "extras," as well: such as frosted mugs waiting for us in the freezer, a coffee maker AND a Kerig! The neighborhood is quite; we all slept well. And our gracious host, Paul, was so helpful and accommodating. He gave us great tips on places to see, restaurants, tours, etc. We enjoyed an amazing Mother's Day dinner at The Pink House--a must for visitors to Savannah. Would also recommend "Savanna Live," a high energy, through-the-years musical, which we all enjoyed. And the dolphin siting tour. (Mike's is the one we went on. Saw lots of dolphins! And the little pub/restaurant at the dock has great food.) The location of Beytagh House is excellent: only a few blocks to downtown Savannah. (Tip: if you choose to drive, be aware, Savannah has many one-way streets. A few minutes studying a map of the layout of the city will help you navigate. By the book shelves in the parlor, are several pamphlets on things to see and do.) Just around the corner from the house is free side street parking. The house, the host, the location make Beytagh a wonderful choice! You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful home on the edge of Savannah Historic District
The house is on the edge of the historic district which sounds like you'd have to drive most places... But you don't! We had to move our car for street cleaning and on the day we drove to Hilton Head Beach, otherwise we got to leave it parked in the nearby free street parking areas. We walked every day and hit almost every major attraction in Savannah. The house itself is beautifully, tastefully decorated. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms it was more than enough space for me and my BFF. Nice patio that was surprisingly cool even on warm days. Our host Paul was wonderful from the start, helpful in every way - how to get into the house, where to park, ideas on things to do, brochures in house for restaurants, etc. We felt very comfortable and welcome and greatly enjoyed our stay.

A wonderful weekend!
My girl friends and I just returned from an absolutely wonderful weekend made extra special by staying at this property. The home was clean, beautiful and had many, many personal touches. Paul provided great communication leading up to the trip and provided very thoughtful information throughout our trip with places to go and things to see. Decorated so nicely; both bedrooms are very nice and good size, good size closets and hangers, bathrooms are good size, good water pressure and all nicely furnished. Very good location for walking everywhere; to the River Walk, St John's Cathedral, Forsyth Park, etc....we didn't move the car for 2 days! I would definitely recommend to my closest friends.

A charming home that invites you to stay!
The owner, Paul, was prompt with all responses before and during the trip. He provided more than adequate materials for a perfect stay away from the comforts of home. The house is furnished beautifully and is stocked with 2 ways to brew coffee and everything that you may need in the kitchen. The two bedrooms are charming and decorated to match the age of the house. The location is within walking distance of historic and Victorian Savannah haunts, tours, shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed the Griffin Tea Room, Soho, Blue River Brewery, and Lulu's Chocolate Bar to name a few places to dine. We toured the Mercer House, trolley tour, and the graveyard in the evening with a guide named Nicodemus. These were informative and entertaining. The ambiance and charm of the house and attentiveness of the owner earned a five star rating and recommendations for a wonderful vacation for groups of varying ages traveling together. Thanks for the southern hospitality at its best, Paul!

Having lived and taught both Music and Art in Heidelberg and Munich Germany for eighteen years before moving to the Savannah area 11 years ago, I was spoiled with European city customs. I've lived in the 'country' in the suburbs for the past 11 years missing that Euro feel. I would experience it every time I set foot in the Historic District of Savannah; it somehow felt like home.

Why they chose this property

After many years of searching for a home that has the historic element not modernized or updated totally out of it, I found Beytagh and knew the second I entered it that 'this was it'! Original heart of pine floors with 146 years of wear, not refinished, not made to look 'new' again (the beauty of a true patina that only age can create) plus located at one of the original remaining 22 squares with 100 year old oaks dripping with Spanish moss out front and minutes by foot to anything and everything that Savannah has to offer, along with the much sought after charm of the many original architectural touches had me 'charisma-seized'.

What makes this property unique

Relax. Take that extra stroll around yet another beautiful square enjoying the architecture that, unlike Atlanta which was burned to the ground, still lives in Historic Savannah Beauty because someone had a cunning ken and gave Sherman the keys to the city as a gift for Lincoln during the Civil War, lest none of this would exist for our enjoyment today. That 'First Historic Preservationist' deserves much credit from us all.

Regretfully, Gerald Beytagh died in 1876 leaving behind Winnefred (with an 'E') to live her days alone in this home that I now call Beytagh House in his honor. I am told that he and she rest in Bonaventure Cemetery, though I am yet to make that research personally.
