Lofty Lane 3

Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!'

Explore the high desert while you stay at this cute Lofty Lane vacation home in Sunriver! Nestled in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by trees, the whole family will appreciate being close to the entire area's outdoor fun. Boasting aquatic centers, tennis, golf, and Deschutes River activities in nice weather, as well as ample winter sports in the colder months, Sunriver is Central Oregon's year-round premiere resort community. SHARC, Sunriver's Aquatic Center, is located only minutes away, and this home comes with six free passes! You and your family will have a blast at SHARC's pools, play areas, and year-round tubing hill. For ski bums, Mt. Bachelor is only 20 miles away, and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails are abundant in the nearby national forest lands. Sunriver Stables offers horse-pulled sleigh rides in Victorian-style sleighs along the scenic and snowy Deschutes River between Thanksgiving and February.

This cottage has multiple outdoor decks for unwinding and breathing in the crisp mountain air. The decks are great for relaxing with a glass of wine or spotting deer in the yard.

The updated kitchen makes preparing meals enjoyable, whether it's a quick breakfast snack before heading out to the river or a full sit-down dinner after a long day on the slopes.

A new Tesla EV charger (that works on non-Teslas, too) will make your trip even smoother.

Family ski trip
Perfect location and accommodations for family of five! Not luxurious, but perfect for watching tv, playing games and sleeping after a fun day at mount Bachelor!

Rustic cabin in great location
The house is in a great location, walking distance to the SHARC and very close to a bike trail. The Vacasa team was quick to respond to my questions. The house is rustic, but everything (except the dryer and wood stove) works fine. Good WiFi and cable options, and a nice lower deck with a table to enjoy the cool evenings. We had a great time.

Sunriver rustic gem!
Perfect Sunriver spot to be with family. Cozy cabin, exactly what we needed for a rainy weekend getaway. Wish the fireplace was working.

Well used but comfortable
Generally comfortable, appliances work well, lots of hangers, big TV, and you won't feel bad if your dog gets up on the couch or the bed.

Great location
This was great for our family of 4. Could use some updating, but we are not that picky and I felt the price was really reasonable compared to other houses in Sunriver. Sliding door and screen could be fixed as it was hard to get in and out. I could not figure out how to run dishwasher either. Overall location was great and our needs were met for our short stay!

Read the Reviews. Know before you book.
The home is in a great location, easy access and provides an amble place to spend your time. Important to know the house is older and shows all the signs of an holder home that is not being maintained. Lots of little issues, like doors not closing properly, lots of drafts, stained carpeting, small holes, nicks in walls, very old bed linens and a very basic stocked kitchen. It worked for my son and I, but I wish I would have read the reviews. I believe the price point is probably fair for what you get, just know before you go. In general, the home was comfortable, conveniently located in Sunriver and provided the basic needs.

Just okay
The location was great and the house generally accommodated our group size, but it just felt like it hadn't been maintained much since it was built. Lot's of little things were broken or in bad shape and the furniture and carpet felt like it had years of dirt layered on it. :(

2024 Thanksgiving week.
3 Lofty Lane: We didn’t read all the negative reviews till after we booked. Overall, this was good for us. We had 3 dogs, plus one more for Thanksgiving. We hosted a (Sunriver owner) couple for Thanksgiving and they had all the baking implements that we did not have or found here. We purchased several dishwashing items and left them here for future renters (bottle washer and SST scrubber pads for pots and pans). Though we too were disappointed that no working fireplace or wood stove was available, as many have mentioned in previous reviews, we understand how this could be a hazard. But, maybe a TV screen with a fireplace loop on it, or a gas unit? Hard to rent this unit for the holidays without this standard amenity. SO, our few comments are: 1) Please replace the electrical outlet at the bathroom vanity with a GFI, per CODE. A little scarry with folks using the hairdryer over the top of the sink. 2) Please provide an anti-slip matt for the tub. They are easy to clean by placing in the wash machine after each renter. Older folks are afraid of slipping and falling, especially without glasses on during showering. Loose bars of soap are also not good if the fall on to the shower/tub floor (white soap bar on white shower floor = hard to see). Best to use wall mounted soap dispensers instead - for soap, shampoo and conditioner. We see these a lot in rentals now. 3) Please re-glue all the loose plastic laminate at the kitchen counters. Lots of open joints and se

Terrible cabin for the winter. First photo of the listing shows a wood burning stove, and the description also showcases that as a feature. Showed up to see a sign that said to not use it because it is “out of order”… Aside from the obviously misleading post, the temperature dropped to -7, and stayed well below freezing the entire trip. Ran the heater the entire time and the cabin never got above 59 degrees. Front door doesn’t close all the way so a steady freezing draft can be felt constantly with the couch right there. Shower door doesn’t open or close. Linens are terrible. No snow shovel on site, so it was very difficult to walk in and out through over a foot of snow. Driveway area wasn’t plowed for the first three days I was there. Expressed my dissatisfaction and disappointment, didn’t get a response until 11p the night before I checked out. LOL - Stay ANYWHERE else, this was a terrible experience and waste of money.

Great location but house needs TLC
The Good: Although we did not take advantage of it, the house is a convenient distance from the SHARC and SR village. All the towels, sheets, kitchen, etc was very clean The Bad: The only issue we had is the house is very dated...TLC is needed. Example: When we tried to open the patio screen door to get into the house, it fell off the rails. The lock on the patio door was so rusted, we were afraid that we would break the key trying to unlock it. The lounge chair is a hazard...I almost broke it just trying to stand up. When we got there, the internet and cable TV was out and speaking of the TV, you couldn't upgrade the TV to HD quality (90's tube TV)??? We usually don't watch too much TV but this was during the 2016 Olympics. Ohhh...BTW, no air conditioning. That's my bad...should have checked that out before booking a Sun River trip in Aug.

Mediocrity at It's Finest
If you are looking to stay in a home where they did the bare minimum to fill the bill, this home is for you. While set in a beautiful atmosphere, this home is underwhelming at best. You get the feeling that the owner, or operator just doesn't care. We had the thought that the kitchen was outfitted from garage sales or thrift stores. The blankets seemed like Grandma left them behind from 1955, complete with holes and that fine mustard orange. One of our favorite things was the way the curtains in the window that the master bed sits up against are transparent. This was handy in the daytime because you could see outside while the drapes were closed. At night, you could clearly see right into the bed, especially the cabin next to you, whose balcony is 5 feet higher. I thought, 'I'll just close the blinds behind the curtains.' But in fact, there were none. Oh, and the third bonus is the way the sun glares directly onto the bed at 5:30 in the morning. Hope you're a morning person! Though this was helpful in viewing the spiders as they climbed across the sheets in the early morning. We only killed 24 in our 3 days in the home. Their online communication process was good and helpful in telling us that someone from the property would be in contact with us. Unfortunately, their AI, was more personable than their personnel, as we were never contacted. Oh and a non-operational fireplace in Sunriver is inexcusable, though this seems to have been the case for some time, as we went back to look at other reviews. If you are looking to have an OKAY time of relaxing (kinda) book this gem now!

Probably a better fit for anytime other than summer. No AC. I realize that this is my own fault. Didn’t realize until a week before we were scheduled to stay. And if we were there during a heat wave. But the sliders didn’t have screens so in the evening when it cooled off we couldn’t leave them open to get a breeze without letting bugs in. We had to go up to Bend to buy a large fan to make it bearable. We didn’t have room to take it with us so if you read this and use the portable fan, you’re welcome! The place was clean, but dated. There were some minor cosmetic issues that won’t alter your stay. Not a bad place to stay. Convenient to SHARC. But I wouldn’t recommend it during the summer heat.

Cozy cabin that needs major TLC!
We had 5 adults , 1 child and a dog. Great location and a cute cabin. Space worked well for us. However, cabin needs some major TLC ASAP! carpets were a mess and bedding is very old and warn. Upstairs shower head was broken and leaking through the kitchen ceiling below. (Thanks to maintenance getting there quickly to fix it) kitchen was not well stocked so it was a challenge to cook with what was there. Bring your own bikes or rent from the village. The bikes that are at the house were pretty difficult to ride, one of them didn't actually work. We did actually have a great time there. Just hope the owners will put some love back into their property.

Has Its Little Warts But A Comfortable Stay
Noone will confuse this house for 5-star accommodations but it is comfortable and roomy. Enjoyed the location; nearby town center and proximity to Mt. Bachelor/sno-parks. My one disappointment was that the DVD player was incompatible with the TV. I called for service and it was replaced by the end of the day. Unfortunately, it was my son's birthday and he had an agenda that started with a family movie before heading out to the snow. Can't get that opportunity back.

Perfect for our family
We had a great experience during our first stay in Sunriver. The house was warm, clean, cozy and well stocked. It was perfect for our 3 kids and dog. We made use of the wood burning stove, kitchen, and tv. The kids built snowmen around the house. Austin from Vacasa came quickly to help us with our dryer. Won’t hesitate to book again!

Okay place
The beds were comfortable and the location was good. The SHARC passes were great too. The not so great parts were the broken couch, 2- 6x20 inch holes in the carpet by the upstairs slider, screens that are barely attached (which makes it less nice when there is no AC and you have to rely on windows open at night), doors (laundry and bathroom) that don't close properly and don't lock, warped flooring downstairs, and old warped pans for cooking. I found dog food on the stairs, and we don't have a dog. We also had a maintenance issue (dryer vent was not attached) and they sent the order for repair to a different house... You can find a better place to stay in Sunriver.
