Situated in a quiet part of town within walking distance of the back beach and the shops and restaurants. This modern family home is ideal for families and is pet friendly. A wood burning stove makes it ideal for a winter get away and ceiling fans in all the rooms make it ideal for summer. A remote controlled double garage ensures valuables can be stored safely (surfboards, wind surfers). A large enclosed back garden is ideal for pets and children and there is a large covered entertaining area with barbeque.

Homely stay

Had a lovely stay, the house was clean, tidy and well appointed. Improvements would be fly screens to the windows so that we could make use of the beautiful breeze without flies taking over the house.

Big Bear

We had a great stay at Big Bear, was perfect for our needs. Everything in the area was an easy walk or drive. Would definitely recommend staying at Big Bear when you are in Lancelin.

Very relaxing

The photos did not do this place justice. The backyard was perfect for pets, a lot bigger than pictured. The beds were extreme comfy and clean to sleep in, couch was perfect for lounging and it was as very handy to have all kitchen utensils we needed at the property. This is very rare. The blackout curtains were perfect for our 1 year old who slept like a dream the whole time. Thanks for having us and we’ll definitely be back

Fantastic Easter Getaway

We had a great stay at Big Bear! The amenities were excellent, the beds were super comfortable and clean linen and towels. We went with 4 adults and two kids and a dog. The house is great for a dog he loved his morning walks and the dog across the road! Remote for garage was not working, minor issue but everything else was great! Really nice hot water and great pressure ha! Def booking this house again when we come back. The kids loved scooting around town on their e-Scooters. WIFI was up to kids std up fast and reliable 👍

Big Bare Lancelin

Great location, quiet street and is close to beaches, jetty and shops. Is pet and kid friendly. There is no air conditioning but the ceiling fans worked fine. The walls need a clean and the lounges replacing as they are not inviting to sit on. The back toilet door handle is faulty and needs replacing, our daughter got stick in there twice. Having access to the garage was great and made beach and fishing preparation easy.

Lovely house in a great location

The house was great especially the backyard for the dogs. It was equipped with everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. The little extra touches were welcome - sunscreen and aeroguard in the cupboard and lots of ice in the freezer! The Christmas Tree and decorations was unexpected but nice since Christmas is close! The location was good and we could walk through the dunes to the beach. If you want a nice house with good facilities for dogs then this is a good one!

It was perfect for our group.

4 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. Walk to the beach. Equipped with everything. No complaints at all would stay again. Great fire!

Comfortable house great location

Really enjoyed our stay, house was a nice comfortable size, nice big secure backyard for the dog and kids. Back beach just a short walk away, we were at the beach every morning and everyone had a great time. Would definitely recommend

Great Getaway in Lancelin

Extremely well-equipped, well-maintained, clean, quiet and comfortable house within easy distance of all amenities. Fully enclosed large back garden and Doggie Hatch a real bonus. many thanks, Colin for a lovely break with our family. We will be back.

Good location!

House was in a good location and secure for pet dog. Garage for cars was a bonus. We didn’t have hot water on arrival, but host was very responsive and arranged for this to be sorted out quite quickly. We would stay here again.

Family beach house

Perfect place for young family to stay and dogs welcome! Definitely a struggle with no aircon in the house, during our stay it was cooler outside (36 degrees) outside then it was in the house. Comfortable beds and plenty of kitchen utensils which made meals easy as! Nice and close to the beach, only a 10 min walk or 2 mins in the car.

Beachside retreat.

Really enjoyed our stay. Loved the back garden and the tree to climb. House was well setup and close to everything - just really disappointed there was no DVD player only VHS machine that didn’t work. We had a storm and all TV reception was out - Was challenging to entertain little kids in the rain. If the owner added a DVD player and a single r/c air-cond in main room, I’d give this place 5/5. For now it’s a 4/5.

Relaxing family getaway

We had an enjoyable few days at this property. It’s in a convenient location, walking distance from the dog beach, park, shops and the pub. We didn’t really let our dogs into the backyard as there were grass seeds. We highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again!

Great stay for weekend getaway

Great location and excellent size for a family of four plus another couple and the dog! Has everything you need and communication with the owner is excellent. It does need a really good clean, but bathrooms were clean, so that was good. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Binga’s holiday

This was our 2nd stay at Big Bear so we knew what the property was like. The main attraction for us is the fact that it is pet friendly and only 1 hour away from home. Our dog loves the back yard, and especially Bella the other side of the fence! The property is located in a quiet part of town but close enough to the beach, pub and shops. Unfortunately we were delayed checking in as the property manager was not available, his office was locked up and he was not answering his mobile. It was only by chance that other workers with an office key drove past and saw us, as well as 2 other families, all waiting outside trying to get keys to our properties. Not a great start to our mini break. We actually had no contact at all with the property manager. No forms were signed (not sure if we had to sign for anything?) Despite this, we had a relaxing time away and our dog is exhausted 🤣
