This Modern Beach House offers breathtaking views of the Sunsets and Sunrises on a quiet and very private non-driving beach, accessibility via a private sand road. 4 wheel drive recommended.
Seahorse is one of this area's best kept secret! A perfect home for that special family retreat.
The Master Suite was recently renovated with a luxurious King bed and sitting area, perfect for relaxing and recharging at the end of the day, with a private balcony overlooking the ocean. Ensuite luxury bathroom with a huge walk-in shower and a walk-in closet. A cozy second bedroom with a Queen bed overlooks the protected wetlands and the Summer haven river and offers gorgeous views of the sunsets. Third Bedroom with a Queen bed offers ocean views with doors that open to the large ocean front deck. A Fourth bedroom with two twin beds and a playful marine inspired décor ensures that every member of your family has their own special space to relax and recharge.
The common areas center around a beautiful open floor plan with a newly renovated chef's kitchen and a comfortable living room area. The decor is beach/nautical themed and every room is comfortably furnished. In the living room is a high resolution 4K Ultra HD 65 inch flat screen TV.
Three very large decks invite you to witness the spectacular sunrises on the Atlantic Ocean or the sunsets over the Intracoastal Waterway. Enjoy a BBQ dinner on the rear deck with sunset views or casual lunches on the ocean front deck spotting dolphins in between the waves, pelicans coasting the up breeze and sand pipers skipping the lapping waves. With fabulous restaurants in Saint Augustine and south in the Hammock/ Flagler Beach areas, the best table will still be right here, and you will have little desire to leave. Publix grocery is a 10-minute drive to the South as well as A1 Fisheries for some fresh local seafood. Two nature and historic parks are not far and the 20-minute drive into historic St. Augustine will complete a great vacation. Wireless Internet. With only about 20 homes facing this wide stretch of beach, it is very private. Dolphins are easily spotted in the mornings when the ocean is flatter, and the area offers one of Saint Augustine's best spots for surfing. A wonderful beach house, on the beach!

Secluded, no one on the beach, except for the occasional person walking. Maybe 15 houses on the beach, and nothing else for a mile or so in both directions. Marsh and river inland. Fishing on the beach wasn't that good, but maybe it was me. ;-) The house is very nice. Huge windows facing the beach. Overall, it was excellent and we would stay again in a heartbeat.

Pretty views of the ocean

This was a nice house with a difficult driveway. The house location is right on the beach but in order to get to the house you must drive about 1/2 mile on the sandy beach (street washed away). You must have a 4x4 - for real ! About 75% of the home has been refurbished. It was comfortable : chairs, couch and dining areas. The decks are super nice. The master bedroom/bath is in need of updating and some TLC. Overall fine but not excellent. Pet friendly.

Amazing Views

My family and I loved the house. Very clean Lots of room and the views were beautiful . When I booked I was a little nervous when someone wrote they had cockroaches we didn’t see one cockroach so that wasn’t true. The sand road wasn’t bad driving to the house just make sure you have 4 wheel or all wheel drive and you won’t have any problems. We had a wonderful week and will be back.

Hopefully the 1st Vacation week of many

What a phenomenal week of vacation. Love the beach and love not having to look at 500 half naked people while enjoying the beach. The only people we saw were dog watchers all week. The house was great. They need to update the kitchen utensils, no can opener and silly things like that. Also, the new sand dune between the house and the beach has no direct access and the put up a 4ft fence so we had to walk down the road to get to the beach. But, I believe we may have been the 1st people to stay in the house since the dune was completed so hopefully this is fixed. Also, the kitchen APPLIANCES were amazing) the only other issues were the entertainment conveniences. The TV wasn’t a smart TV so there was no way to log into our streaming services, “it was new and a good brand but no blue tooth or WiFi. 🤦‍♂️. Also no way to watch all the movies we brought for the evenings. There were even movies in the house but no way to watch them. They had Direct TV but very few available channels. This was by far the biggest issue. I feel like I spent most of this review complaining but the house really was amazing and the rental company was great as well. So I’m review, if you add a DVD player, Smart TV or streaming box, and update kitchen utensils then this house is perfect. Excited they are updating the bathrooms too. The outdoor shower downstairs is amazing. Can’t wait for next year. *the surf fishing was fantastic as well!

Money Pit with Million Dollar Views

The views are a million dollars. The home has way to many problems to list. If you are looking for a great location, private beach, and seclusion, with great views, and you are not picky about your living quarters, this is your place. This home needs much TLC. Not costly projects, just someone to spend a week or two on repairs here and there, paint, and cleaning. The night we arrived at the home, it was covered in dog hair, every where. Hair on counter tops, floors, sofa, and bathroom floors. I spent the entire day, the following day, vacuuming sand and dog hair from everything, as we have three little babies. Will I go back? Yes! The location and views, and access to the beach, and privacy for my family and babies are worth the price (to me).

Relaxing ocean view and sounds.

Peace and quiet. Very relaxing!! Beach is almost all to yourself. Only have a few (very few) people walking by. Almost a private beach.

Perfect beach Christmas

This was the perfect beach Christmas for us and would give this 5 stars however I feel there might be some mold issues and we did see a lot of roaches and heard critters at night (like rats in attic) but seriously the home decor and renovations that were done down stairs are absolutely gorgeous and we have lived on the beach for several years so we know what the salt can do and it’s very hard to keep up with. Probably could use a few repairs on baseboards and ceiling, fresh paint and walls cleaned especially around door handles. There are very few places you can find that are as private and beautiful right on the beach. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Soooooool gross!!!!!

The location ideal. The house exterior beautiful. Interior was extremely dirty. Dust balls around door moldings, fan ceiling with an inch of dust. Bathrooms were the worst. The amount of mold was overwhelming. We should have been reimbursed.

This was a great house!

This house was wonderful. It is literally right on the beach. The entire kitchen, dining room, living room and outdoor terrace are completely renovated. The bedrooms are yet to be renovated, but are comfortable. The rental personnel were excellent and thorough. I would highly recommend the house. Just be sure that you have a good 4x4 vehicle to get there. There is no road for about 1/4 mile. It is just soft beach sand, and it is easy to get stuck.

Good location EXCEPT FOR THE ROAD

We have stayed in this area for 3 years. This year the road was pretty much impassible even with 4 wheel drive. We got stuck, as did many other people. Even though we like this area, likely won’t stay there again due to road condition.

Beautiful house on beach

Our stay was great the house was inviting, comfortable and had everything we needed. The views both of ocean and opposite side were gorgeous. The outdoor sitting areas we inviting and comfortable. The layout and decor was fabulous. The mattresses were very comfortable. The only thing I did not like was the shower being open in master but it was ok with all the other awesome features. Would definitely stay again one of my favorites we have stayed at.

A Beach Get Away from it All...

Seahorse was only available by 4WD and the private beach was deserted and spectacular. We stayed for 7 days and saw three people on the beach all week during our stay....The house was perfect for two couples who each had an ocean view from bed and a private deck to enjoy. The house was clean inside and was well stocked with everything we needed from linens, towels, and blankets, to dishes and glassware. The modern kitchen and open floor plan allowed for great meal prep and deck dinners at sunset. The back deck overlooking the Mantazas River basin allowed for quiet evenings outside without the ocean wind and a perfect spot to use the newer gas grill and watch the egrets feed and nest in the foliage below. The few issues included both front and back outside decks need to be replaced to make them feel safe and usable and the "outside shower" is a hose to wash off from the beach. If you are looking for a clean modern getaway that is private and right on the ocean, then I highly recommend this property to you. The A1A Realty Team was pleasant and easy to deal with and made us feel welcome. We rent vacation homes often and this one was a rare find for a good price.

Views are Breathtaking!!

The awe! moment when we turned down Old A1A sand road to see the serene of the blue waters, white sand and a beach not over crowded with people or houses. The house sits on the beach, you cant ask for anything closer. We had a beach all to ourselves with a couple of people up and down on both sides and a beach to lay on all day long. The house was nicely decorated and comfortable for for 3 couples and two kids. Loved the outdide lounge chairs and table. Kitchen and dining have went thru remodel and it looks awesome. Nice open floor plan. Big open windows face the ocean for that beautiful ocean view. All beds were very comfortable and rooms nicely decorated. The only cons were the tiny biting ants in the house everywhere and the decking. I think decking took a toll thru hurricanes and just needs some love and boards fixed and replaced. We called about the ants and the pest control came next day but they were back by the time we left so maybe needs regular treating. Neither of those cons would prevent us from renting this house again. House was priced very reasonably for the superb location if you like a beach that is all to yourself, which we did. BEAUTIFUL HOUSE just needing a little more TLC but the BEAUTIFUL LOCATION sells it most of all. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your house with me and my family.

First of all, this location is amazing. We pretty much owned the beach! If you like privacy, this is your place. Our panoramic views shows no one in sight on the beach, just beautiful sunrises, waves galore, sea gulls, and serenity. The house is undergoing some transformations. The kitchen and family room are adorable and newly decorated and renovated. The deck needs a little love, but that did not stop us from eating out there every single night and wrapping up in blankets to watch the moon come up over the glorious night sky. The breeze was magnificent. From what I understand, more upkeep is underway. We liked the "weathered look" but will appreciate the repairs on our next visit. We will book again.

Absolutely loved the area

Our stay was wonderful, the house decor was very fitting for the experience. The house definitely is in need of some maintenance after last year's hurricane. The leaking Windows when it rained we're a bit of a concern, as well as the saltwater disintegrated gussets that supported the decking all around the house. The hand railing going down the stairs that was wore out due to rusted nails. The broken toilet flanges and rocking toilets, the doors that would not close due to swelling from the saltwater. At the end of the day we realize these are all things that happen due to being on the water and did not take away from the experience that we had The broken toilet flange is in rockin toilets the doors that would not closed due to swelling from the salt water. At the end of the day we realize these are all things that happen living on the ocean and did not take away from our experiences for the week. We experienced beautiful sunrises and sunsets as well as Moon Rises, shooting stars and glimpses of the Milky Way. Daytime provided dolphins jumping in the waves sea turtles making their first Journeys to the ocean. It was a wonderful week and we will enjoy the memories made.

A very pleasant stay!

Upon arrival we found the house to be perfectly cleaned with plenty of linens and kitchen utensils. Note, no blender and coffee pot leaked water from the base. The only issue we had was no running water at arrival. Wa called the repair person who instructed us on how to make it work. It was irritating that they knew about the problem but didn't fix it before our arrival. We found the house to be very spacious with excellent views of the beach. We especially like the ocean facing deck. The dogs enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the birds. It was nice to leave the dogs on the deck with no concern of escape. We enjoyed the views from the comfortable master bedroom. We found the house to be very homey but not necessarily up to date. (Older tv,vcr,DVD player in kids room didn't work). Also minimal cable channels available. This wasn't a problem for us but maybe for future tenants. Ac unit worked perfectly but I have future concern since coils were very dirty. Also, be wary of walking barefoot on the deck, due to nail heads and splintered boards. Over all our vacation was fantastic, Wonderful location, beautiful beach and very dog friendly. We plan to stay on future vacations. Thanks for sharing your house with us.

beach lover

rental office was great,awesome access to beach, house was clean. BUT! house is older and it is in sad state of disrepair. Outside shower is hanging by 1 rusty hinge. Deck has splintered boards and nails that have popped up you have to wear shoes when going out on it. Roof has shingles missing. House is for sale and you can tell owner doesn't care about property anymore.
