Waterfront Relaxation: Amazing Views, Fishing Off Back Porch! Bolivar Peninsula

This beautiful canal front home in Laguna Harbor is very comfortable and relaxing! It is located on the Bolivar Peninsula on a quiet culdesac with no through traffic. You can watch the ships pass on the intracoastal waterway and see the dolphins swim in the canal! You don't have to go far to fish... just cast your line from the boardwalk directly behind the house! The beach is a close drive away & so are all of the great restaurants on the peninsula. The house is very close to the Bolivar/Galveston ferry as well for easy access to tons of activities, historical sites, shops, entertainment & restaurants!

The interiors are wonderfully furnished. Rustic architectural features, including heart pine floors, exposed rough cedar beams and trim and shiplap ceilings, are a nice contrast to the clean design details. The 3rd floor is a large open room that includes the family room area, breakfast area, kitchen and powder bathroom. The full kitchen has a long island bar to accommodate many dining guests. The kitchen plan is open to the family room & wet bar and is perfect for cooking while you visit with your friends/family.

But... the best feature of this house is the nature at your doorstep! There are 4 porches with wonderful views of amazing sunrises over the canal waters and sunsets over the bay! There is an unobstructed view of Bolivar’s scenic natural preserve and the intracoastal waterway from both downstairs & the 2 upstairs decks. You can also enjoy the spectacular view of the starry clear night sky.

The Downstairs has an open air courtyard that often gets a nice breeze off the water. There is a charcoal grill in the courtyard & a table and chairs in the covered living area making these outdoor living spaces ideal for cooking out.

This is our home and we have equipped it with anything that we might want during our stay. We love it here and find it very peaceful and relaxing. We hope that you will do the same!

Three Friends Fishing
A couple friends and I, enjoyed a two day fishing trip. The weather was challenging (light rain and wind gusting to 40 mph), but the house was fantastic and we still caught fish. We thoroughly our stay.

We had a good time. The house was clean as usual. Anyone renting this place will not be disappointed. The views are as you see on the pictures. The fishing was unusually slow. The Host was very accommodating as usual and responds quickly to answer questions.

Our Favorite House
This is our 2nd time staying in this house in the past 6 months. This time we had my sister from CA come. We had an absolute amazing time. Only 2 things were the Keurig did not work nor did the outside lights going the whole way down the whole row of the 3 houses so we always walked to the right of the house and down to go fishing at night. But overall an awesome time had by all. We will of course be back.

Highly recommend this quiet place in the cove of Laguna Harbor! Me and my 3 boys went to relax and fish and that's exactly what we did Very quiet. Perfect location. House was very clean and the owner explained everything to do so we had zero complications. We will stay here again and highly recommend it!

Great quiet location on the peninsula!
We really enjoyed our stay here! Nice house, great location away from all the crowded "beach houses". The setup on the canal was perfect for the guys to fish right off the porch and boardwalk - especially after their fishing captain canceled their bay charter. We even saw dolphins while sitting out on the balcony! The kitchen & living room area was fantastic. And the elevator was a life saver! Missy was a great host! We will definitely book here again.

Great for 'kid fishing'
The kids has a great time catching fish after fish after fish. They caught a few blue crabs too, and we got to see a dolphin only about 10' from the seawall. Location is isolated and we pretty much had the nearby beach all to ourselves. Fantastic place to stay if you want a quiet family vacation especially if your kids (or grandkids!) like to fish and hang out at the beach. Missy is a great host and her helpful replies are always only a couple minutes away.
