Perfect for larger groups or 2 families. Situated between St. Germain and Eagle River is this beautiful and private lake home, with 6 bedrooms and three large bathrooms, located on a 4-acre, with open and wooded landscape. Chain Lake is part of the famous Sugar Camp Chain of Lakes, which also provides Class A Musky fishing. Other accessible lakes include Echo, Dam Lake, Sand Lake, Stone Lake, and Chain Lake – comprising 2,300 acres of water ways. Our property has 140 feet of private shoreline, sandy beachfront and gradual deepening of the water for non-weedy swimming.
The cottage has a master suite and 2 other bedrooms on the main floor. 1 king bed, full, and bunk bed (1 queen on bottom and 1 twin above). 2 full baths on main level. Lower level has 3 bedrooms - 1 queen, 1 full and twin and another full and twin. Lower level also has second full kitchen and full bath. Both kitchens are completely stocked and we also have a washer and dryer for your use. We have a lovely wrap around deck with patio set and a large gas grill! Huge yard for fun family games and very large fire-pit area! Not to mention raspberry patches for you to enjoy! This home is a great retreat for all family members - including your pets if you have them. Dogs just love how much land they have to run and play on!
This property is set up perfectly for two families to share or one family to spread out. Please note that this cabin is not solely income property. It is our treasured family cabin so we do have personal items neatly tucked away in closets or out in the open for everyone to enjoy!

Family time

We had a great time--the house was great--the deck was very nice. Great view. Our only negative would be that we are all seniors and it was a bit lengthy to carry our stuff from the parking to the house which would prevent us from returning.

Annual Presidents Day Snow Trip
Property was nice and accommodated our group nicely. However, just few things to address..when we first arrived was kinda confusing where we park with trailers. They just receieved 4" night before so it wasnt plowed, that made it hard to tell where the driveway was and how far in we could go with trailer. Cabin was set up nicely, fully stocked, had everything we needed. It is in need of a new microwave and stove. Very old, would be such an easy fix. Maybe just a deep clean overall would help as well, alot dust in cabin. Loved that our fur babies were welcome! Overall, good time.

We all had plenty room and the water was amazing. Even though the fish tried to outsmart us we ended up with enough for a fish fry one night, just like planned!

We had plenty of room for our group. We had family from Iowa, Chicago & AZ here. The beds were comfortable & the view of the lake is great- yes it’s still beautiful iced over!! Host was great, easy to contact!! Definitely recommend!

Perfect Christmas family getaway!
Our family of 10 and the doggos had a wonderful stay over Christmas! Despite the below zero temps we were warm and toasty, the kitchen was very well stocked to prepare our holiday meals and the beds were super comfy! Couldn’t have asked for a better cabin or host!

This home has everything you could ask for an up north getaway. Spacious, clean, well stocked, great communication with host. Awesome for adults, children and pets. Christmas vacation with kids in October
This property was as advertised; we loved the privacy and the views surrounding the home. All the additional space in the lower level was awesome. This is a great get-away for those looking for privacy, yet close enough to several towns if you want to do some exploring. Our kids really enjoyed spending time in the large yard. Great place for a get-together
We were a group of 12, ranging in age from 3-70. We spent a week in this lovely vacation spot and greatly enjoyed ourselves! The layout of the house is super convenient - both upstairs and downstairs kitchens and gathering areas allowed for people to feel "uncrowded" even when the weather required us to spend time indoors. The beach area is close and sandy - the kids loved it. Maureen is great to work with. Would highly recommend.

Great family getaway!
The cabin is clean, comfortable, roomy and most of all a relaxing place to unwind. The cabin is a fantastic family getaway! We had our family of 11, which includes 3 grandchildren ages 2 to 6 years old. Our children and grandchildren loved the sandy beach and the pontoon boat rides. Swimming was great! The kids and grandchildren spent many hours enjoying the water. Our 6 year old grandson loved the fishing from the shoreline. I walked the shoreline with him and we caught bluegill, crappies, and sunfish. He would fish for hours! Maureen is a great host and is very responsive to any question we had. Maureen we thank you for allowing us to share your family cabin.

family get away
Great place for a family trip, plenty of room with an open floor plan was exactly what we were looking for. We had 8 with us ranging in age from 22 - 62, as well as two dogs. Every single person enjoyed the stay. Could not be any happier as to how it turned out.

Family Christmas
Beautiful location on Chain lake. Close enough to Ski Brule to spend a day downhill skiing and beautiful snowfall during our stay to do cross country skiing on the lake outside the door,tThe house was thoughtfully stocked from the wood for the fire place, and kitchens with everything needed to cook dinners for the 10 people in our group. Our group all agreed the beds were super comfortable.

Family Holiday Fun!
Each year we choose a Northern Wisconsin getaway to spend a few days as a family between Christmas and New Years. This was the perfect pick for us! There were 10 of us and there were plenty of bedrooms/ beds for all and all of them were very comfortable. The living and kitchen space both upstairs and downstairs gave us plenty of room to spread out when we wanted to and to be all in one space when we wanted to. The kitchens are fully stocked with cookware and dishes. We love to make some amazing meals when we’re together and we had everything we needed. The entire place was clean and cozy. One huge plus for us was the fact that we could bring our dogs who are very much family members. We LOVE to have them with us! Outside was a winter wonderland! Beautiful snow and access to the lake for ice fishing which the guys love! I highly recommend this rental! We made some amazing memories! Thank you, Maureen!

Not only was the cabin great, but yard and fire pit were perfect, yard was used for bocce and water balloons, football; fire pit close to cabin and had gravel surrounding the area and nice blue light.

Chain lake is really nice, Eagles flying and birds. We heard Whippoorwill's every night by the fire. We went thru to the other lakes and that was really scenic.

Hi - my name is Maureen Lewis and I purchased this property along with other family members to provide a place for memories to be made, nature to be enjoyed, and for our extended family to spend quality time together.

Why they chose this property

Hi - we are John and Donna King, Maureen's parents. I (Donna) have been spending time in the north woods since my grandparents bought their cottage in the early 1940's. This property is in the same vicinity as was my parents' and grandparents', therefore a long history wonderful memories that I wanted to continue with my children and grandchildren. It is a uniquely private piece of property, on a dead end road, yet close to all the social events northern Wisconsin has to offer.

What makes this property unique

The private acreage and dead end road is unique in a cottage setting. There are no neighbors behind or to the right. There is ample room for families to enjoy lawn games and for pets to run. There are two kitchens - a large fire pit area - kayaks or other boating activities to enjoy on a non crowded lake.
