PERFECT COUPLE'S GET AWAY OR WRiTERS RETREAT! Dogs welcome to enjoy the private waterfront getaway on sixteen acres with its own private pier. Just to clarify, you are the only occupants of the cottage. Step out onto the vast expanse of lawn hugged by soothing water filled with wildlife, and enjoy the solace of the estate all to yourself! Sit in the white Adirondack Chair with your crossword and Words With Friends (because yes, there's WiFi!). You suddenly realize you need a few more groceries for your grilling tonight, so you hop on your bike and breeze through to the Acme in St. Michaels where all of your needs are met. You stay for lunch and eat in Foxy's, a bohemian Bar & Grill located on a charming marina, and you watch the yachts come in. On your bike ride home, you stop into Chesapeake Landing, and pick up some smoked Blue Fish for your hors d'oeuvres that evening. Once home, pop open your favorite wine ( or boil up some relaxing green tea) and take in the sight of the fish jumping in the cove and then take in the night sky without the glaring city lights.

The Lodge

Beautiful peaceful and private spot! The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. We definitely would love to visit again. We had a wonderful time!

A nice house in a quiet area

Long weekend retreat near St.Michaels

Lovely, peaceful, relaxing home on the water. We enjoyed grilling, fishing, reading in the cozy sunroom and walking through the town of St. Michaels. We went to the Saturday farmers market and later to the Crab Claw as we watched the boats go by. Fun weekend!

Relaxing near St Michaels

We enjoyed our get away to the St Michaels area. The Lodge is a cozy, classic style home on a lovely property on the water. It is a very peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle of St. Michaels. The home is comfortable with everything we needed. There is a small library with many interesting books, movies and some games. Most importantly Liv is a wonderful easy to reach host

The house is located next to the river and the surroundings are well kept and very peaceful. The fire pit is quite enjoyable in the evening. The house had all we needed for a peaceful stay away from city noise.

Peace and Nature’s Beauty in Abundance

Absolutely beautiful property and comfortable home. If you crave a private getaway, yet close to restaurants and Saint Michaels, this is the vacation home for you. We enjoyed every single aspect of our stay and the owner was incredibly responsive and kind. Fish off the private dock, relax and then kayak in the cove. Peace and quiet is found here!!! Will absolutely return and highly recommend!

St. Michaels Adventure

We were enchanted by this property-the private and extensive lawn offered great privacy. The vacation cottage was beautifully maintained, with great views, fire logs provided which we used in the fire pit (but could have used in the living room's fireplace), comfortable seating, functional kitchen and lovely bedroom with a sunporch! We loved this property and hope to return.

It is consistently our end of summer go to happy place. Beautiful sunsets; jumbo crabs; well appointed house with everything you need including a new grill; and fantastic hosts. What’s not to love!

An Oasis of Peace

This property is very private and at the head of the creek. Boat traffic is minimal, allowing for peace and solitude at the end of the dock. The property has an outstanding water access/view balance, open space, and woods. If you like to walk, there are easily accessible trails through the woods and a long driveway that brings you to a quiet country road. Walking the woods and road is easy and beautiful. The house itself and the appliances have some age, but everything was in working order. Liv was very responsive, and access to the house was easy. Kayaking takes effort as this creek is tidal, and you must time your entry based on the low tide. It is worth the effort! I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a spacious and convenient place to rejuvenate in nature. It is close enough to St. Michaels to be convenient yet far enough away to be serene. A true oasis! I will be back!

We throughly enjoyed our stay! We used the bikes and kayaks with no issue. The property is as advertised. Quiet with lots of lawn space and a nice dock to launch the kayaks. Rabbits and turtles and frogs were our neighbors. We would definitely rent it again!

Very nice accommodations! The house was very clean & well equipped. I brought my boat & the dockage & creek access was very good. The grounds are very expansive & relaxing! Would stay there again. I was raised not far from the property & know my way around the area both from the land & waterways. Good access to both.

AMAZING!!!!!!

I cannot say enough about this paradise! Brand New Bikes, Helmets, New grill, all New gear for the canoes/kayaks! Foos Ball........Completely secluded away from the busy world we live in! The house was cozy, and super clean! The bed was extremely comfortable. The Master bedroom has a connected beautiful sunroom, that leads you through another set of French doors onto the deck, that wraps around the entire house! We will definitely be returning to this Fantastic Oasis!!! John & Breann❤️

Great Quiet Getaway

This property was exactly as described. It was a great place for a long weekend. We took advantage of the Kayaks and had several great meals within a 10 minute drive. The kitchen was well stocked, but we preferred to take advantage of the local restaurant options and the chance to spend time in St. Michaels. The view from the home and outside chairs was much prettier than the listing showed. Overall, we had a great stay.

Relaxation oasis

My husband, my dog and I went to the property for a long relaxing weekend. We got exactly what we asked for - lots of peace and quiet. The property was massive and well kept. It offers a lot of seating outside, so we always had our breakfast and dinner on the patio. The highlight is, of course, the little jetty and the views over the water - we could come out for sunset views in the evening. The house itself is super cute and nicely furnished - very comfortable. We didn't cook ourselves, but if we had wanted to, all cooking utensils were provided and most importantly a dishwasher. The wifi connection was great and the TV offered all the usual apps. The town of St. Michaels was a short ride away with lots of beautiful shops and restaurants. We had crab in multiple places and the food was always lovely. The bigger town of Easton is about half an hour away for bigger shopping trips. The only drawback of the island was the fact there aren't any real dog parks around and no hiking opportunities - everything on Tilghman Island revolves around the water. However, our dog loves to swim, so he was tired enough just by doing that every day. Lastly, if you're looking for a party place - this isn't the right destination for you. But if you want to get away from it all and recharge your energy in serene surroundings, then we'd highly recommend this place.

Cozy spot

Great quiet location, close to St. Michael's, nice accommodations. The cottage is very comfortable. Loved the availability of the kayak's, bikes needed new tires. Make sure to pick up charcoal if you plan to use the barbaque. We would definitely stay at this location again. Thanks for a great getaway!

Much more than expected.

The house was clean and very comfortable. The property was well taken care of and our dog had plenty of room to run (and explore). Being fishermen - we were on the dock everyday. Though the dock could use some repair, it was sufficient for our needs. We had a very good time.

Why they chose this property

Living in the city has its perks, but there is something about frequenting a getaway that calms the soul. My husband and I chose to buy this property because our hectic lives needed some slowing down without distractions. We love The Lodge at Leadenham Cove because we have solidified our relationships with friends and family by having them join us in a wholesome and soothing environment.

What makes this property unique

My favorite part of staying at the cove is sitting in the Adirondack chairs with friends for hours catching up, and genuinely enjoying each others company. The Catalpa, Magnolia, and Pine trees give the space a unique park-like setting, that never grows tired. At night, I love to serve dinner to my guests on the deck below a Maple tree decorated with hanging lamps that my daughter refers to as The Great Hall from Harry Potter.
