The highlight of this VRBO is the bucolic, private, wooded location. The dwelling is nice, but the large grass area, huge trees, and the view of the water was the most enjoyable part of our stay. Our dog loved the freedom to run around and explore. The dwelling is surrounded by huge decks, and there are ample Adirondack chairs on the lawn surrounding a fire pit. There is a gas grill as well as a charcoal grill. There were a few bumps at first regarding the refrigerator, but the host was quick to react (i.e. just turn on the circuit breaker). The living quarters is "nice", but most will spend most of their time outside. It is a short drive to St. Michaels where we picked up steamed crabs and brought them back to eat on the umbrella shaded deck. We will definitely come back.
We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The spot is beautiful and peaceful. The home is so cozy and charming. Enjoyed fishing and crabbing from the dock. The crabs we definitely biting! We felt very comfortable and didn’t want to leave. St Michael’s is a quaint, lovely town with plenty of good food and drinks. We will be back!
This is my second 6-day stay at Liv's lovely house, first being three years ago. It's so blissfully quiet at the end of the long driveway, overlooking the creek. There's usually a nice breeze off the water which takes away some of the humidity I encountered in Easton, for example. No traffic noise, only the birds (my phone app identified as many as eight different birds). I really enjoyed sitting in those Adirondack chairs with my latte from The Blue Crab in the morning, with the dog, just listening to the birdsongs!
There were evening rabbits for the dog to chase, and deer seemed to wander by every midnight because the dog could see or sense them in the yard and start barking. I think I even saw a lizard sunning itself on the deck.
House is nicely equipped, well laid-out, and I love the classic mid-century style. Wi-Fi is excellent, but can't speak to the TV as I was trying to de-stress.
One reason I enjoy this area is the wealth of excellent restaurants in St. Michaels: Theo's Steaks, Ruse, Bistro St. Michaels; and Bas Rouge and Scossa in Easton.
Looking forward to a return visit, but will try a different, cooler season next time. It would be nice to not have to use the A/C, just open the windows to the breeze and birds!
Beautiful peaceful and private spot! The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. We definitely would love to visit again. We had a wonderful time!
The house was well appointed with everything we needed for a long weekend. The host was awesome to work with, answering all our questions and offering to help in any way. She is the kind of host renters want to work with.
Lovely, peaceful, relaxing home on the water. We enjoyed grilling, fishing, reading in the cozy sunroom and walking through the town of St. Michaels. We went to the Saturday farmers market and later to the Crab Claw as we watched the boats go by. Fun weekend!
We enjoyed our get away to the St Michaels area. The Lodge is a cozy, classic style home on a lovely property on the water. It is a very peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle of St. Michaels. The home is comfortable with everything we needed. There is a small library with many interesting books, movies and some games. Most importantly Liv is a wonderful easy to reach host
The house is located next to the river and the surroundings are well kept and very peaceful. The fire pit is quite enjoyable in the evening. The house had all we needed for a peaceful stay away from city noise.
Absolutely beautiful property and comfortable home. If you crave a private getaway, yet close to restaurants and Saint Michaels, this is the vacation home for you. We enjoyed every single aspect of our stay and the owner was incredibly responsive and kind. Fish off the private dock, relax and then kayak in the cove. Peace and quiet is found here!!! Will absolutely return and highly recommend!
We were enchanted by this property-the private and extensive lawn offered great privacy. The vacation cottage was beautifully maintained, with great views, fire logs provided which we used in the fire pit (but could have used in the living room's fireplace), comfortable seating, functional kitchen and lovely bedroom with a sunporch! We loved this property and hope to return.
This was our 2nd visit to this property and we love it. Its comfortable and roomy AND the fishing is great. Our dog loves to run, so the yard was ideal.

Priperty was great. Owner was great VRBO WAS NOT GOOD OR HELPFUL.
It is consistently our end of summer go to happy place. Beautiful sunsets; jumbo crabs; well appointed house with everything you need including a new grill; and fantastic hosts. What’s not to love!
This property is very private and at the head of the creek. Boat traffic is minimal, allowing for peace and solitude at the end of the dock. The property has an outstanding water access/view balance, open space, and woods. If you like to walk, there are easily accessible trails through the woods and a long driveway that brings you to a quiet country road. Walking the woods and road is easy and beautiful.
The house itself and the appliances have some age, but everything was in working order. Liv was very responsive, and access to the house was easy. Kayaking takes effort as this creek is tidal, and you must time your entry based on the low tide. It is worth the effort!
I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a spacious and convenient place to rejuvenate in nature. It is close enough to St. Michaels to be convenient yet far enough away to be serene. A true oasis! I will be back!

Fun loving, caring mother of two who co-owns a company with her husband and wants to share her favorite vacation spot with like-minded individuals.
Why they chose this property
Living in the city has its perks, but there is something about frequenting a getaway that calms the soul. My husband and I chose to buy this property because our hectic lives needed some slowing down without distractions. We love The Lodge at Leadenham Cove because we have solidified our relationships with friends and family by having them join us in a wholesome and soothing environment.
What makes this property unique
My favorite part of staying at the cove is sitting in the Adirondack chairs with friends for hours catching up, and genuinely enjoying each others company. The Catalpa, Magnolia, and Pine trees give the space a unique park-like setting, that never grows tired. At night, I love to serve dinner to my guests on the deck below a Maple tree decorated with hanging lamps that my daughter refers to as The Great Hall from Harry Potter.
