This quaint little northwoods spot is the perfect getaway. The cabin is nestled in the quiet woods across the road from Old Settler's Park, which provides access to Big Glen Lake and a small public boat launch perfect for kayaks or canoes. This Burdickville location is within walking distance of two of the regions finest dining establishments, and a corner store/ice cream shop. It is just a short drive to the Sleeping Bear Dunes, Lake Michigan Beaches, the Crystal River, and the many towns in the area.
The cabin has 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed, and a sofa bed which sleeps an additional 2 people. There is a fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor grill. Enjoy a meal out on the deck. The outdoor fire pit is the perfect spot to stay warm as the sun sets behind Alligator Hill.

My family, which includes myself, my husband, 3 energetic boys (10, 6, and 10 months) loved this cozy little cabin! We walked to the park and water directly across the street from us to explore and play. At the cabin the boys loved that they had outdoor games, like football and crochet, and inside we played some family rounds of candyland. From a mom's perspective, I loved that this cabin also had an infant packNplay to make bedtime easy for the baby. Checkin was super easy and communication was awesome. Would highly recommend this place to anyone!!
We enjoyed a nice, quiet stay on a beautiful Fall weekend. Our only issue was that the dvd player did not work--power came on but the tray would not open. I'm sure the owners have corrected that issue by now. The owners were very reponsive, especially when we locked a cell phone in the cottage when we were ready to depart--solved in a few minutes via text. We would stay here again.
This place was exactly what we hoped for. Cute quaint little cottage with a bonfire pot and great nature views all around. The home was clean and in working order. I would go back and stay again!
Came up north to do some shopping, dining and sight seeing. Your cabin provided the perfect location for our day trips. The add was spot on and there were no surprises. The cabin was very clean and cozy. Ended each day with a bonfire and a glass of wine. I would recommend to friends.
Along with being a cozy, spotlessly clean cabin, we found the location to be perfect for easy access to an amazing number of Sleeping Bear hiking trails and gorgeous Lake Michigan beaches. In addition, Glen Arbor, Empire, Leland, and Suttons Bay are all nearby and we never tired of the lovely drives around the peninsula. The cabin and furnishings are so comfortable and cooking meals a breeze in the well stocked kitchen. We also made good use of the outdoor fire pit, while enjoying the nighttime solitude and star-filled sky. In short, we loved everything about this property and communication with Heidi was excellent!
My daughter and I were up for a family reunion nearby. This cabin is well located, and the park across the street has playground equipment and a dock. We even saw the northern lights one night!
Definitely would recommend this cabin. Nice property too
My folks live close by, so was ideal to have a place to bring my own family when we came home for a visit. This pleasant cabin was ideally located for us, quiet, and charming in its simplicity.
We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, with more pots and pans than in other cabins we've rented in the area, deck and patio table, and proximity to the wildflower meadow in the park across the street. We also loved the down slippers, as we had a few cooler mornings during our stay, geraniums, and hammock. We ran out of time to use the fire pit, but with more time, we'd have appreciated that as well.
Our only challenge was the queen mattress on the creaky metal frame, which was a little too hard for us grown-ups. We piled extra bedding under the fitted sheet to make it a little more comfortable, and if we rent again, which we would love to do, we may need a memory foam topper (we discussed having one shipped), unless the mattress is upgraded, which would allow us to get better sleep during our annual week off. Our 15 year old was fine on the mattress in the room closest to the bathroom, though.
All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay. Thank you so much Heidi and Joachim.
Stayed with our family in the cabin. Great spot next to a park and across the road from the lake. 10 minute drive to Glen Arbor with all kinds of shops. Highly recommend this cabin.
Enjoyed our stay very much. The park across the street was great for the kids, planning on coming back next summer to take advantage of all the outdoor attractions near by. Appreciated the recommendations for attractions and restaurants.
Very clean and cozy. Nice beds. Perfect cottage for our son, d-I-law, and 3 yr old grandson. Would have held more people too.
Heidi was great to work with. During a power outage her husband came over w a portable generator. Awesome! Our grandson can not go to sleep without a fan going!

The pictures don't do this property justice. It is super cute. It has a great stone wall with gas fireplace and a very large picture window that allows a great view of the park. It is small but was plenty adequate for two couples. The location is great- right across from Glen Lake, close to Sleeping Bear, Glen Arbor and Empire. I would definitely stay here again!
I could not have imagined a better stay for a stay in Glen Arbor. deer, hummingbirds, and other creatures abounded, and the cottage was cozy and comfortable. Close to Glen Arbor, but far enough away to feel secluded. I would not hesitate to book again.

Why they chose this property
Our cabin is in a great location for shopping, The Dunes, skiing, hiking and local wineries. Located across from access to Big Glen Lake makes it convenient to the water but being set back in a one acre forest provides the privacy that makes for a perfect getaway.
