About this property

Waterfront Cottage With Your Own Personal Sandy Beach And Expansive Lake View

This two story cabin is situated on 3 grassy lots just feet from a sandy beach in a quiet neighborhood. The lake is shallow off of the beach and is perfect for children to play in. The cabin upstairs is an open plan with 2 queen beds, a bath, and a sitting area with 55" TV. It opens onto a balcony overlooking the beach and lake. Downstairs has a complete, fully outfitted kitchen, laundry with washer & dryer, full bath, and a living area with another 46" TV. Both TVs have ROKU which includes streaming service such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and more (requires your login). Sitting area includes queen sofabed.

The cabin has WiFi.

Outside there is a covered porch and a large deck that is shaded most of the day, a hammock, gas grill, and large, fenced yard. Also, there are 2 kayaks and a pedal boat for guest use at no additional fee.

While the kitchen is great for cooking, there are also a number of restaurants within a short drive. There is a large grocery store 5 minutes away. Property is located between Hunstville and Livingston, both noted for numerous antique shops.

The large deck outside sports a gas grill (we provide the gas).

50 Yrs marriage celebration by visiting family, states, activities & events!
Thoroughly enjoyed the cozy & cute home w/its beautiful views of the lake. Magnificent sunsets and fun watching cardinal family & squirrels sharing the tree, LOTs of wonderful shops & restaurants around the area, particularly enjoyed Huntsville and the oldest functioning restaurant in the state 'Cafe Texan'.

Quiet Repose
The house felt very welcoming. With yhe sounds of the waves lapping the shore and the herons to watch it was relaxing and refreshing. We look for places to escape and this provided a wonderful site to do that. We even saw a bald eagle fly by the house. fron

Family Lake Get Away
This was our second stay at this location. Its so peaceful. The neighbors are quiet and respectful. The water was warm but very calm and my children enjoyed the peddle boats and kayaks. The lake house had everything we needed. We love it here and will be back again.

Great Place
We had a wonderful stay. Jonathan worked hard to get the beach ready after so many storms washing huge trees and debris up on shore. The beach is the perfect spot to get in the water. It’s very gradual when walking out. Takes a bit for it to get deep which is ideal if you have kids. Very sandy bottom all the way out. The house was clean and perfect. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely come back.

We enjoyed this nice home on our way across the US. Sunrises were beautiful and the privacy the home offered was appreciated. Fun to watch the different birds in the lake catching their dinner and breakfast. Was nice to sit on the porch and the deck taking in the views.

Just what we needed
My wife and I were looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway for our anniversary. John and Cathy's cabin provided exactly that. Beautiful sunrises, a relaxing upper deck and a wonderful fire pit provided the perfect setting. The cabin feels so very welcoming and is extremely comfortable. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Amazing Spring Break Getaway
Perfect trip for our family. My husband and two tweens enjoyed this private beach and house. The beach is really the only beach in the little cove. It has access to a little canal where we were able to catch a couple of fish. The house is clean and ready for guest. You just need to bring food and soap. We were sad because we forgot our hotdog/marshmallow sticks, but this house was equipped and had some. The yard is big for the kids to run around but we stayed at the beach. The town it is located in is small, but plenty of little stores to get last minute items. My kids are usually stuck on their phones, but we spent most of the time outside and in the sun. The house does have a little living room upstairs which was nice at night when we wanted to separate from the kids. Has washer and dryer to keep everything clean and ready. Perfect trip. We will be back soon.

Great Getaway
This is our second stay at this property and we lpve coming here. The lake was very low this go round but that is no fault of the owner. Texas heat and no rain for months will do that. But with the water level low, we got to explore and look at rocks. The place is very clean and it's quiet. No rowdy neighboors or anything like that. We will come again. Thank you!

Cute Cabin
Wanted to get away for a mini vacation and this cabin was absolutely wonderful! The hour and a half drive from Spring we enjoyable and scenic. Check in process/directions were clear and concise. Covered parking/carport was a bonus and kept our vehicle out of the sun. Unfortunately the water was too low for us the haul the provided kayaks or paddle boat out (not the hosts fault due to the summer drought). Also burn ban currently in effect so no fire pit. We enjoyed the lake breeze and sat on the swing. The party lights set a great atmosphere. We would definitely recommend and return. Hosts were very responsive to any questions that arose. Thank you for letting us stay!

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this place when we first saw it, mostly because of the beach and beautiful lake view. After several years of careful remodeling we have decided to share its charm with others. One great thing about it is that is is only 90 minutes from Houston and only about an hour from the airport!

What makes this property unique

We looked at many properties before buying this one and what sold us was the unusual feature of the sandy beach and quiet area. While there are neighbors around the property it still feels very private. Also, the proximity to restaurants and shops makes staying here very convenient.
