Property was good and easy to access. It was close to all the places we wanted to visit and the neighborhood was quiet. It was a little worn down and could use some updating but we were overall very happy with our stay.
Great location & easy access to all things beach, shopping & dining. Fast response from owner & quick resolution to needs during our stay.

Needs some TLC
Where to begin?? I had to text the owner to get the door code to get into the house. The cleaning lady was still at the house when we went to check in. Then she claimed that she was told we weren’t checking in until 9:00 they night. So there we were left standing in the yard with all of our things. During which time my dog got attacked by a sworm of yellow jackets that came out from u fee the back deck!! I called the owner immediately and he just told me to go buy some hornet spray from the store. Overall, I was not pleased with our stay at all. Not worth the amount of money I paid to stay there.
Cute little house perfect for our families needs. Large secured back deck that our dogs enjoyed . This house is nothing fancy but it was perfect for us !!

7 minute walk to the beach!
The big draw of this property for us was the short walk to the water and close playgrounds since we had two small kids. The house was clean, it is an older home though and we didn’t find the extension cord that was stashed in the dining room table until our last day. Also would have been nice to have some local restaurant information/menus but we obviously made due with google.

Great Beach
House was great for us, clean and literally had everything you could possibly need. The only complain is the fridge that did not work. We stored most of our stuff in the freezer with extra ice.
Beach is close by but would recommend to drive to nearby park and pay the extra 15$. Beach is much nicer there, no rocks and clean bathrooms to use. It’s a much easier walk from the parking lot with kids , Waggon etc..well worth the extra money.
The area itself isn’t the best but has some great antique stores and some nice restaurants.
The beach itself is worth the trip. Overall, we had a great time and the kids loved it!

Beautiful location, with access to Washington park & lake MI, but unkempt
We arrived to find the lawn overgrown & had to wade thru weeds to reach the lockbox to get the key. A cover was left on the central air-conditioner, but luckily we saw it from the porch before turning the AC on.
There were no screens & windows were in bad shape, so most couldn't be opened. Those that could, had mold on them.
Refrigerator barely kept food cold & in 4 days the freezer never got cold enough to make ice.
No extra bedding was found for the pull out couches. The bedding that was there, was inadequate for the efficiency of the air-conditioning, which did work surprisingly well.
The toilet tank linkage had a tendency to come unhooked, causing it to run frequently.
If not for proximity of the lake, park & zoo, it would have been a total bust.
This place was clean and spacious for our family of 8 we had lots of fun being there! We will totally be coming back in the future! The owner was amazing when I called and texted him! Few mins from the beach! I’ll recommend this place to a big family any time! The zoo it’s 5 min walk it was amazing!!!
The only bad thing was the grass was over grown but we didn’t really care we slept inside, but they could make it into a parking spot but other the that I’ll give this place 100%

Shabby
Location was lovely. However, the house itself: smells of gas and mold, the yard: was overgrown with bits of poo in it. Overall, it needs a major renovation.
Due to a change of plans and mistakes on our part, we only got to spend 1 night of a 3 night rental at this place. It's a shame, because it was a nice house, with a great location. Clean. Had every appliance we needed. We would have loved to stay longer!
Cute little house! There were 7 of us, and so we used both sofa beds, but we put the mattresses on the floor and were very comfortable. Had a little issues with towels, but eventually found them in the basement, apparently the cleaners didn’t bother to put them away, just set out 4 towels. What the best thing was, gathering the family together and the really short walk to the beautiful beach, and we had amazing weather. We would come back next year, but instead are headed to California to visit family. Thanks Kevin.
Very clean, decently maintained older cottage home. Really pretty perfect for the cost. Outside grass/bushes/weeds need a lot of help. We couldn't even use one door because if the overgrowth.

Perfect location - disappointing state of the property.
Cleanness of property or rather lack of was the main issue.
Had a great / relaxing time with my 2 sisters & niece & my 3 yo German Shepherd - House had everything we needed ( would suggest a couple light quilts for sofa beds ) - nice / easy walk to beach, pier/lighthouse. Just a nice relaxing few days - Weather was great sunny , nice breeze. Mae ( dog ) just chilled on the beach with us. Would definelty visit again!

Birthday trip
It was nice cute little house. The yard needed a little work to it to give curb appeal like the surrounding homes had.. the location was a easy walking distance to the beach and zoo.. the fact that the icebox didn’t work and Ruined about $50 dollars worth of ice cream/ cake and food and the owner didn’t seem to care was Bothersome.. but overall weeken was fun.
The house could best be described as rugged and in need of some serious attention. The location is great and proximity to the lake is very close, although there isn’t any lake view unless you have x-ray vision. The property is not super clean but probably,y great if you wanted to bring dogs. The two full-sized beds are old, linens are old and there was ONE towel for the entire house. Didn’t try the two pull-out couches, but they’re also old and not much for linens and no pillows for them. No dish towels, wash cloths, etc. We were told all we needed to bring was beach towels. Trash cans were full. All in all, this place has potential but needs some serious attention to cleanliness and updates.
The house was a short walk to the beach and had a great deck. Conveniently located to many restaurants. Bed was very comfortable. This was our first VRBO experience and it went well.
House was as-advertised. Location was great, easy walk to the large beach (biggest I've seen the beach there in years.) Also walkable to Washington Park and the zoo. House is definitely no-frills, which is not a big deal when you spend all day at the beach, but can be a bit limiting when it rains (which it did a good portion of the week we were there.) Communication with Kevin was good throughout the whole process: booking, check-in and check-out. As long as you are not looking for high-end living, I would really recommend, as you can't beat the price and location.
It’s a cute little cottage, great for a smaller group! Property manager was easy to get ahold of. Very clean, and even more spacious than we originally thought! Highly recommend.

What makes this property unique
The Home is great to get away from the city, and to have reunion type get-togethers with families and friends.
