This beautiful home overlooks Countryside Gardens - a real working nursery! You can pop down and say hi to owners Sheila and Ozzie if you want. Or, take off for the day up to the most pristine beaches in Michigan - literally five minutes from the house! Visit Traverse City - a 20 minute drive - for Cherryfest and the air show or shopping and great culinary events! At the end of a long, lazy day at the beach, either come back to the house and grill on the back deck and take it all in or stop in at any one of the local restaurants for some home cooked meals. Countryside Gardens is exactly where you want to be to experience Northern Michigan at its finest!

Great Place!!

This was exactly what we were looking for. The location was ideal to be able to hit all the beaches in surrounding areas. The house was clean and well kept. It was really nice having the extra space - full kitchen, multiple bathrooms and laundry room. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay at it again when we are traveling in this area.

Countryside Gardens house was truly "In the heart of everything". From the location of the house, we able to easily enjoy the activities along Lake Michigan and bay(s) offered from Empire to Charlevoix during our (3) night stay.

Family Wedding Getaway

The house was very nice and spacious. Plenty of clean towels and comfortable beds. The living room furniture was very comfortable, the cable had plenty of channels, and the internet was stable. My only complaints would be that noise carried though the place like there weren't any walls and there was a spot of mold growing in the top of one of the closets. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful home and location

My husband and another couple have stayed here several times. It is always very clean and so close to main attractions, especially the Leelanau Wine Trail. We will stay here again next time we are up that way.

Weekend up North

This was the cleanest rental we have ever checked into. The property is exactly as described - bedrooms are spacious, living room very comfortable and home was well equipped. Beach chairs were a bonus! Not much in the way of walking available near the home but not even 5 minutes down the road at you are at the beach. Centrally located to many area attractions. Hosts were easy to speak with and efficient with their check-in procedure.

Sleeping Bear Dunes home base

We enjoyed our stay. The house was spotless, and having huge beach towels to take down to the beach plus a cooler was an added bonus. The kitchen was stocked with basics, and there were fans in all the bedroom closets to help cool off. Lots to do within 10 min, even more within 30 min of the house. The owners were even nice enough to check our car was ok because the lights were left on overnight. Would stay again if we come back to the area.

Perfect

We only had this beautiful little house for two nights on our week long tour of Michigan. I wish we had stayed here the whole time. Everything was exceptionally clean. It was like staying in a hotel with the comforts of home. Our family loved the area with Good Harbor Bay beach literally less than 5 minutes away. It was great to have a cooler we could use at the beach and also nice we didn’t have to lug beach towels from home. There is nothing I would change about this property…perfect in every way. Thanks for letting us stay!

Ideal setting to explore the peninsula.

We have stayed at many rentals in the Sleeping Bear area. This was by far the cleanest and most pleasant stay. Loved coffee on the front and back decks and the short drive to Good Harbor Beach for sunsets.

Love this place!

The environment was comfortable and met the needs of 4 adults and one infant. The location is conveniently located for access to Lake Michigan, Suttons Bay and places of interest. We would go back to this home.

Solitude, serenity, quiet

The house and area was very calming. Quietly enjoying morning coffee on the back deck or front deck in the sun is a relaxing way to start the day. The house is a short drive to Sleeping Bear Bay beach.....absolutely a great way to end the day to just hop in the car and in five minutes watching the beautiful sunsets. The beach chairs are comfortable and a nice touch to free up space in the truck for the ride to and from. Northern Michigan and the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore are close enough to enjoy the miles of trails and picturesque views of crystal clear Lake Michigan The house is very clean and outfitted with everything we needed for cooking and baking. I thought the grill was brand new, it was thoroughly cleaned before we arrived. The pictures of the inside on the VRBO website are a little dated, as the house and furniture have been updated and very comfy and cozy.

The property was just perfect, loved the front and back porches. Even though there is no air conditioning, the house has ceiling fans and oscillating standing fans as well. Very comfortable for our summer stay. The host provided for a lovely experience that we enjoyed.

Great Location!

Very clean, nice size home, quiet and perfect location to beaches, Sleeping Bear, Leland, Traverse City and more! Love the Blue Moon Ice Cream shop in downtown Cedar! Sheila keeps a very nice home, no air conditioning but she has ceiling fans and stand fans in each room. We will be back!

Clean Well Maintained House & Great Location

This house was perfect for us being located between Glen Arbor & Leland which are the two towns we spend the must time visiting. Added bonus was the Ugly Pie farm stand being about a mile down the road. Best pies I’ve ever had 😋One of our favorite beaches for sunsets Good Harbor beach is super close as well. My 90 year mother-in-law was traveling with us & the wide bathroom doors made it a lot easier for her. Thanks Sheila & Ozzie for an enjoyable stay😇

Great little house for a family vacation in Leelanau

Perfect for a family exploring the beautiful Leelanau Peninsula. Very peaceful setting but within easy striking distance of Sleeping Bear, Traverse City, Suttons Bay etc. Also a very nice beach just up the road. House was comfortable, very clean and had everything we needed. Would definitively return. Thank you!!
