Dmall cottage, but had everything i needed. On the same property as the owner, but i never saw and was very private. The parking space was directly next to the unit. Overall, its a nice, quiet spot.
We spent a week at the "cottage." The accommodations were as described - clean & comfortable. We never cook when away so the small kitchen worked fine for us - as did the one-room efficiency floor plan since we were out-and-about most of the day. A block and a half from the beach (yay!) and many restaurant choices also in walking distance (1-1.5 miles). We ate at Good Stuff for breakfast twice and Riviera Mexican Grill (excellent recommendation from Lynn) for dinner twice. We especially appreciated having a dedicated parking space and private entrance (would recommend more lights in the alley). There was some difficulty with VRBO booking the place; but I was persistent and the host's were able to finally get it worked out. They were also helpful and responsive during our stay (although, we really didn't need much - everything seemed to be provided). We would definitely stay there again if in the area. Thanks - had a great time!
First, let’s start with location. This property is in the heart of the beach community and just blocks from the water. Ideal location! Secondly, the owners were very nice and promptly responded to questions and requests. Finally, the space was nicely decorated and equipped. The only issue we had related to a dirty air conditioning unit. Its filter was dirty and there appeared to be some black spots in the vent. We thought it may have been the onset of mold. The owner disagreed and thought it was just buildup. Regardless, we didn’t use it and thankfully it was not too warm a night
It was a delightful stay. So close to walk the beach boardwalk, beautiful area. We enjoyed nearby golf courses, restaurants, shops, and of course waiting for granddaughter’s arrival. Close to Torrance Medical to help out the new parents! Lynn, hostess, was great, very friendly and personable. Heard about her golf enjoying husband too.

The cottage was very homey with all the appreciated conveniences, such as coffee, Direct TV and even beach towels! It was also safe and centrally located to the beach, shopping and restaurants.
I stay here a lot. Love it every time. Proximity to beach, village. The cottage's amenties (esp that large walk-in closet). Comfort. Aesthetics. All of it.
We were a couple of blocks away from the beach and had parking made available. The property was generally clean but could use some care (bathroom ceilings, small holes in spots, hand washing the older eating utensils), dusting and some uniform toiletries would be nice although we weren’t far from a target. The owners were very nice and welcoming although I wasn’t prepared to interact as much as we did and didn’t know that the cottage would be right behind their home and facing the alley- could be my fault as I’ve only ever stayed at hotels when visiting California and I’m not keen on the general neighborhood layouts. I would stay here again and think it’s a great spot for one person or a couple. The area was a great surprise… very relaxing and safe with a nice coffee shop, burrito and taco place within a few minutes walking time.
One of the best trips we planned this year! The cottage was perfect for our needs and we lacked nothing. The central location made our day trips a breeze. The town of Redondo Beach was our favorite view. So quaint and everyone was so welcoming. Already planning another trip to roller skate even more than this one! Thanks to both of you!

It was everything I expected it to be. Comfortable, cozy, relaxing and close to the beach. Every morning I was able to take a walk on the beach, followed by the day visiting family. Enjoyed how close and centrally located it is to shops and restaurants. We even took in a Dodger Game. A very nice place to get away 🏖️
The property was just what we needed for a visit with family--close to the beach (about 0.1 miles), very quiet, private and very comfortable. Perfect for a short trip to Southern California. It is walking distance to numerous good coffee shops and restaurants. Highly recommended!
Was in town for the memorial of a friend's mom; not the best circumstances to visit the beach. Thankfully, the cottage provided the perfect retreat. Either before or after the day's services, the beach is right there for a walk to clear the head. There are also plenty of spots within walking distance to grab a meal, coffee, etc. The cottage itself is very comfortable, well-appointed, and restful -- there is plenty of space to stretch-out and relax. After a day out and about, the parking space is luxurious!
Lynn is a great communicator and very helpful; she made the check in, stay, and check out easy peasy.
If you're considering staying here, don't hesitate to do so. It's a great value in a great location with a great host.
My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at this charming little cottage in Redondo Beach recently! It is well situated near the ocean, has convenient parking right by the unit, the owners have a generous 2pm check in time, there is a nice little electric fire pit with chairs outside the unit, and it’s pretty comfortable.
The cottage itself is quite small, but very well organized. There’s a nice big walk in closet that is convenient for putting away clothes and luggage, as well as a small table w chairs for eating breakfast and/or lunch. There’s a fridge, toaster oven, coffee pot, and microwave…not really a kitchen, but it works for doing breakfast in the unit.
The heater works great on cold nights, and the bathroom is very nicely laid out with good lighting and storage, nice towels. Soaps are teeny tiny but owners are happy to provide more when asked.
Bring your own body lotion! There was a bottle of shampoo in the shower.
One thing that needs improving and I believe is already in process is that the carpet in the cottage needs replacing…it’s worn out.
Otherwise, it’s really quite charming and works well for one or two people who will spend most of their time sightseeing and doing things around town.
We plan to return on future trips to LA!
Great location near Riviera and the beach in a quiet area
The cottage was spacious for a single room unit, and the outdoor courtyard was delightful. It was great to have our own parking space, especially in that neighborhood. I loved having the Keurig and coffee pods - it was particularly nice to enjoy an early morning coffee in the courtyard before starting the day.
My only comment is that we were initially confused at arrival because the directions were to find a "blue and white cottage". Indeed this cottage is blue and white, but there is another blue and white house just up the way. It might be helpful to state that guests should bypass the cottage that is white with blue trim, and head for the blue cotttage with the white trim and the number 212. We quickly discovered our mistake, so it was not a big deal.
This place was so perfect for my husband and I to stay for the long holiday weekend. It had everything we needed, was so spacious and perfectly located in the downtown Village Riviera area. A block from the beach to take a walk and close to so many places to eat and shop. The checkin process was so simple and the hosts were so friendly and communicative. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
