IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON BRINGING YOUR OWN BOAT, you need to contact us (send an inquiry through this site) prior to making an ON LINE booking so we can determine if we have a suitable boat-lift for your boat. We rent boat-lifts (to make sure your boat is safe) for $75/week or $25 for the first day and $10 for the following day(s) - whichever is less. Every guest who brings his/her boat must use a boat lift, because it is impossible to "park" the boat by the shore. Please note - the fee for a boat-lift is not included in the cost of renting the cottage.
It is not allowed to use any kind of air-conditioners in the cottage.
In summer time (June 01 to August 30, 2025) the cottage is rented for FULL weeks only: Saturday to Saturday. Off-season we rent for three nights minimum.
There is WiFi access available in our office for checking e-mail.
Our property is inspected and licensed by the Vilas County, WI, Public Health Department.

The cottage is located on beautiful Lac Vieux Desert Lake in the heart of Wisconsin's Northwoods lake country and the Nicolet National Forest. We are just a few miles north of Eagle River, WI. We are open in spring, summer and fall and offer you a knotty-pine interior cottage that will suit all your lodging and accommodation needs, all surrounded by beautiful and fragrant old pine trees and majestic oaks. There is an abundance of wildlife here, on the lake and in the area. Make sure you bring a pair of binoculars with you - there are a lot of eagle nests all around the lake and you can see and hear eagles and loons every day. You will also see ducks, swans, and otters here. Deer very often visit the area.
We are located on the south shore of Lac Vieux Desert, the headwaters of the Wisconsin River.
Our beautiful lake is famous of its record musky (a World Record Musky was caught here), walleye, northern pike, perch, small mouth and large mouth bass and panfish fishing, and is one of the largest in the state with 4300 acres and 19 miles of fantastic shoreline and 4 islands.
The 610 sq. ft. cottage (located 15 yards from the lake's shore) has 250' lake frontage to be used by our guests. There are two piers on the property to be used by our guests.
