About this property
Casa Bosque - here you will feel you're overlooking the entire world!
Casa Bosque is the perfect holiday home for a large group searching for a high level of seclusion. It is situated on the top of a hill with a no more than tremendous view over the Catalan landscape. The decoration is refined and the house itself is roomy. It is surrounded by a large garden area, a barbecue zone and a swimming pool zone equipped with garden furniture; an arcade; an ancient threshing floor; a small chapel; and a fenced surrounding zone. Really a unique holiday home, for the ones appreciating the silence and the beauty of the nature.
The house is distributed into four floors: You enter at the ground floor, which has some seating groups and is decorated with beautiful restored articles from the history of the house. In the ground floor there is also a double room with bath authorized to disabilities. At the first floor there are two kitchens, two fireplaces, two dining rooms and two beautiful lounges. The renovation of the house has been made with the stunning view in mind. Hence one of the lounges has a huge window to the scenery. This exact spot must be perfect on an early morning or for enjoying a glass of the Local Cava before dining.
On the first floor you will also find 5 double rooms (3 of marriage and 2 of single beds) and three baths. In this same floor there is also a vaulted room, really suitable for children. On the second floor there are two bedrooms with single beds and a bathroom. And on the third and last floor there is also a bedroom of two beds. Some of the rooms with French balcony.
Casa Bosque is a large secluded farmhouse situated in a privileged place. On the top of a hill with view is over La Baronia de Rialb Term and the Pyrenees in the background.
OUR HISTORY:
Lisbeth and I (Bertel) are the owners of the company SYDENS FERIEHUSE. For the last 14 years we have engaged in letting out fantastic Catalan holiday homes, all of which live up to our criterias: they are authentic, charming homes and are all of a very high standard. We help Julia & Josep let out CAN PUIGNOLL.
We consider the perfect holiday to consist of two parts - a nice holiday home and some great excursions and activities. For each part of Catalonia we have made an activity document with our personal recommendations. As we consider ourselves to be experts in Catalonia, you are of course always welcome to ask for help and advice. We aim to find the perfect holiday home for you :-)
Catalonie - Spain: In the north-east of the Iberian, on the Mediterranean side, and occupying a relatively small area lays Catalonia, one of Spain's most fascinating and diverse regions.Geographically and culturally, the splendour of Catalonia is so unique. It has a vast diversity of landscapes ranging from rocky coastlines to long flat beaches, from mountains to plains, and from marshlands to forest. It has great cosmopolitan cities such as the amazing Barcelona with its fantastic art nouveau buildings, or the historical Gerona and its great old Jewish quarter. It has small medieval mountain villages sitting at the foot of the Pyrenees and elegant coastal resorts in the sandy shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Catalonia has a distinct regional identity that borrows little form the rest of Spain. Catalans have their own language, and are intensely proud of their unique art, cuisine, folklore and long history. Ask the Catalans themselves and many will tell you that Catalonia is not a region but a Nation
Urgell & Lleida: The region Urgell and Lleida stretches from the regional capitol Lleida along the Segre river and the road C-14 up through the Pyrenees and in direction Andorra. The area around Lleida is one of Spain's most extensive plateaus, and the flat terrain makes it ideal for agriculture, olive- and fruit plantings and increasingly wine production.
The area Urgell on the other hand, is less populated, mountainous and has great nature and sceneries. Wake up to the smell of the grass and the flowers, the sounds of the birds, the locusts and the bells of the cows in the distance. Feel the dry heath taking over when the day matures. Jump in the pool and dry again in the beach chairs, that the basics of a vacation in the Lleida and Urgell region.
the excellent network of highways makes it easy to visit some of the well known sites of Catalonia. The subsequent sights can be reach in less than 2 hours in car: Penedes vine district, Tarragona/Port Aventura, Barcelona, Girona & Costa Brava.
Activities: The region is the perfect point of departure for enjoying rambling, trekking and long-distance walking routes throughout most of the year. The difficulty of these routes varies greatly, but there is something for every type of visitor. It is possible to choose between quite easy routes that cross the plains, valleys and lower mountains, or ones of medium-high difficulty that run through some of the highest parts of the Lleida Pyrenees. Many of the routes are signposted and easy to follow.
Adventure sports
The Lleida Pyrenees are the leading venue in Spain for adventure sports, with more than 150 specialized companies and world championship events (including kayak, paragliding, hang-gliding, canoeing). There is also scenery of outstanding natural beauty for nature lovers which can be enjoyed through trekking, GR, MTB and horse riding.
