Cozy house in a great location
This house was centrally located to everything we wanted to do while in this area of Cape Breton. It was quiet and comfortable and we appreciated being able to do laundry. I would recommend it to other travelers.

Best place to stay in Cape Breton
I can’t recommend this place enough, and it most definitely won’t be our last time to visit. We were storm stuck here and Kim went above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure we were comfortable and safe. Again, we will definitely be back and look forward to our next stay. Thank you Kim again.

Loved this place. Couple of things I would change: needs more plug ins, really need a bedside lamp in the upstairs bedroom. Otherwise lovely!

Christened new BBQ with T bones
Host messaged when house was ready and was quick to respond to any questions. Brand new BBQ on deck which we cooked steak on. Laundry was handy after staying several nights in Halifax. Very handy to Cabot trail. Air-conditioning for those hot days appreciated.

This house was a good place to stay as we enjoyed the Celtic Colours music festival. Its location made it easy to get to the concerts, and it is minutes from the Cabot Trail. It t had everything we needed, and the owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Clean and comfortable
House was simple, clean and comfortable. Older home so, short on plug ins for charging devices. Road noise can be tough on light sleepers. Host was responsive and accommodating.

Tale of two halves
Good location, easy checkin. Main level of property fabulous with nice bedroom, lounge, well equipped kitchen and amazing laundry facilities and bathroom with plenty of towels. However, unfortuately basement level rooms not as good. Smell of damp in twin queen room and problem with ants and other bugs in room and bed.

Cape Breton trip
This cottage was in a great location and made it easy to get to any local attractions. There was vehicle noise from the highway which made keeping the windows open challenging. Kim was a very responsive host!

Enjoyed our stay!
The house was clean and comfortable. Well decorated and an excellent spot to enjoy the scenic drives, including the Cabot Trail. (We did see two moose on that drive.) Kim, the owner, stopped by to check on us, friendly and personable. Had some good suggestions of restaurants and things to do. Extremely impressed with the washer and dryer :-)

Pleasant and affordable location as jump-off to Cape Breton activities
Good location for accessing the Cabot Trail and Cape Breton Highlands NP. Also only a few minutes away from The Gaelic College and its wonderful weekly Wednesday night ceilidhs. Only real downside of this property is its location so close to Hwy 105, which means there is a fair amount of traffic noise in what would otherwise be a very peaceful setting. Driveways were a bit hard to spot.

Perfect location for the Cabot Trail and all Cape Breton adventures!
The location could not be closer to the Cabot Trail and one of the most beautiful drives in Canada. The house is only minutes from Baddeck, which is a picturesque town full of Cape Breton charm and culture. We were on the go most of the time so we did not spend a lot of time at the house but it was ideally located for what we wanted to do and cozy when we came back to sleep. Just an FYI and not a complaint but because we were coming and going all the time, the turn out on the highway can be a bit of an adventure if the highway is busy. Zero problem if it's not. Special thanks to Kim for shipping back the rain jacket my oldest kid forgot while we were there.

Great location
Excellent location for access to Baddeck and Cabot trail counter-clockwise, including the Gaelic College. I would give it 41/2 stars if I could. The bed on the main floor is quite uncomfortable. We happened to be camping before we came and the memory foam we had improved it greatly. The only bathroom is on the main floor and the stairs up from the rooms in the converted basement are quite steep. Overall we were comfortable and would stay again.
