This ground floor 2 bedroom, 2 full bathrooms is a great value! Recently renovated kitchen and bathrooms with new cabinets, granite counters, walk in shower in Master, tile flooring throughout. New furniture master bedroom, new mattresses in both bedrooms, 2 lanais: off the living room and bedroom. Stay in and enjoy your own prepared meals in the efficient and fully stocked kitchen kitchen or you can take a short 2 minute walk and be served at the many restaurants that are right down the street!
Enjoy the amenities at Banyan Harbor:
Heated salt water swimming pool with ocean view, tennis/pickleball court, shuffleboard, BBQ pavilion, and activities desk.
This condo has a level entry so groceries, suitcases, and all your bags of souvenirs do not have to be hauled up and down stairs! There is free parking in unmarked stalls.

KALAPAKI BEACH REVIEW
Five minutes south of the airport in Lihue, you'll find this wide, sandy-bottom beach fronting the Kauai Marriott. This beach is almost always safe from rip currents and undertows because it's around the backside of a peninsula, in its own cove. There are tons of activities here, including all the usual water sports—beginning and intermediate surfing, bodyboarding, bodysurfing, and swimming—plus, there are two outrigger canoe clubs paddling in the bay and the Nawiliwili Yacht Club's boats sailing around the harbor. Kalapaki is the only place on Kauai where sailboats—in this case Hobie Cats—are available for rent (at Kauai Beach Boys, which fronts the beach next to Duke's Canoe Club restaurant). Visitors can also rent snorkel gear, surfboards, bodyboards, and kayaks from Kauai Beach Boys. A volleyball court on the beach is often used by a loosely organized group of local players; visitors are always welcome. Families prefer the stream end of the beach, whereas those seeking more solitude will prefer the cliff side of the beach. Duke's Canoe Club restaurant is one of only a couple of restaurants on the island actually on a beach; the restaurant's lower level is casual, even welcoming beach attire and sandy feet, perfect for lunch or an afternoon cocktail. Disappointing

Our family 2A/2C stayed here for 7 nights. We found the unit to be presented clean. The bathrooms and kitchen and overall decor is very dated. The shower curtain in the second bathroom had mould over it and the bathroom had a roach problem. The lanai furniture was tired and dirty. The unit was very noisy, especially in the morning from road and occasional plane traffic. I had to chase up the reutrn of our deposit. We won't be staying here again.

We had an enjoyable 9 day stay. Lost a day due to airline issues. Our condo was very clean but we had several electrical issues. None interfered significantly with our stay though.

Centrally Located

This condo is located next to great shopping and LiLikoi just down the road had excellent food. The condo is clean supplied with necessities to get started with a grocery store located about a mile away to pick up other food items need for the visit. The beach is only a 5 minute walk that we hit daily. The wagon their made it easy to lug our stuff down. Diane was super easy to work with on booking and changes we made. She has a binder with fun activities with contact information. We liked that for all excursions we went to the longest was 30 minutes with the rest being 10-15 minutes with the airport only 5 minutes away. The only thing we would have liked better was newer cooking pots and pans.

Perfect place for family stay

I took my 12yo son to a week long vacation trip right after New Year holidays. We had a perfect time and returned home refreshed and full of energy. The condo is clean, well equipped and comfortable, has a nice backyard. Walking access to beach, convenientce store, food restaurants. Diane is a great host showing true care about her guests. We hope to visit Kauai and stay there again some day.

Great stay

We had a very enjoyable stay. We had every thing we needed to be comfortable for the week. It was so nice to be able to eat in when needed and the pool was a plus with a great view. This was a pretty central location for us and we were able to visit most of the island. The chickens were entertaining as well.

Condo idéalement situé à Lihue

Situation parfaite pour ce condo afin d'explorer l'ile en totalité. Tout se trouve à proximité ( restaurants, commerces, etc...). Condo très propre. Kauai est une ile qui regorge de trésors. Nous avons adoré la découvrir durant 6 jours !

Location- best beach for swimming & surfing just across the street

Th unit is Clean, neat & full of kitchen stuffs like cookwares, utensils, seasoning, napkins, towel paper… There are beach towels, coolers, mosquitoes repellent & beach toys just like mentioned on the website. The owner, Diane, was very responsive, providing us detail of checking in & out. She was also very flexible on checking in & out time. The backyard of the unit is spectacular with the forest view. We enjoyed sitting outside in the balcony in the evening, so peaceful & beautiful. Would definitely recommend Diane’s unit with friends & family. Thanks Diane for letting us stay at your unit. Wonderful place to explore Kauai!

We loved the location to explore all parts of the island. We quickly felt at home in the condo and anything we needed was nearby. Highly recommend this condo. It comes with pet roosters to enjoy each time you sit on the lanai.

Spring break with two kids

Pros: Unit was clean and had lots of things to take to beach. Easy to get to from airport with beach across the way. Diane was easy to communicate with Con: really only negative was the people above seemed to stomp late at night and in the morning. But that can happen anywhere. Location was great and we felt very competitively priced.

Great Value 2 Bdrm/2 Bath Great Location Near Kalapaki Beach

This unit has had some nice upgrades e.g. granite countertops, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, kitchenware, vacuum, newer washer/dryer. Well stocked with extra paper products and cleaning supplies as well as books, games, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs and umbrella. Beds were comfortable. Not the Ritz, but great value!! Diane was a super host.

Perfect Lihue location

This condo is in a great location, close to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. If you’re driving you can go in either direction for great sight seeing and activities. The place is clean and bathrooms and kitchen have been nicely updated. There is some traffic noise and of course the chickens. The only bad thing I can say is that the upstairs neighbor isn’t very thoughtful that there are people below. Would I stay here again? Yes; for the price you probably won’t find a better location.

Awesome location!

We enjoyed our month stay here very much. It was the most relaxed vacation we've ever been on. The central location is perfect for day trips exploring what Kauai has to offer. The nearby beach is ideal. The beds were very comfortable. You can hear the roosters, but we found them charming. We would love to stay here again! Mahalo!

Great location and all the needed amenities. We may be different than a lot of people given the reviews but we found the beds very uncomfortable (far too hard) and the couch very uncomfortable as well. The upstairs neighbors were very loud waking us up many times. It's a great base with the necessary items but if you want to spend any time just relaxing in the unit, it might not be for you.

Nice Condo in Lihue, Kauai

On-site check in was a breeze. The condo and complex were both pristine. We cooked in often and took picnic lunches on our adventures. The condo had everything we needed. The many fans, ceiling and portable, circulate the air conditioning nicely. We enjoyed the Hawaiian prints and decor. Fresh tropical flowers when we arrived were delightful. The condo has a peaceful garden view including a resident rooster. Diane’s tip to park in the upper parking lot was a great suggestion and it was only a few steps down to the condo. The location is great for seeing the whole island. Easy day trips everywhere. We do recommend Lydgate Beach for a calm beach experience. Diane worked with us to add a half day to our vacation to accommodate a very late night flight which was greatly appreciated!

Kauai vacation

Kauai vacation— The property was very close to many of our excursions and to the beach. The owners provided lots of beach towels and beach equipment. They were very responsive to any request that we made. It also had a nice pool area.

Nice condo with minor shortcomings

Pros: - good location for exploring the island - nice community with BBQ area and pool - beach, restaurants and ABC store in walking distance - kitchen adequately equipped - lots of beach equipment - furniture in sleeping rooms is nice Cons: - noise from street and upstairs neighours - rather dark inside, lights were needed most of the day - generally clean with minor shortcomings (carpet not vacumed, dust not sufficiently removed from fans and ceiling) - sofa/couch needs to be replaced asap Summed up it was a good accommodation for our 7 day trip, but nothing overwhelming.

Close to sites

Just as listed in photos but road noise and upper level sound transfer can be an issue. Great kitchen, comfy beds, lots of room and additional amenities like beach equipment. Very helpful on- site staff and the location is excellent for seeing most of the Island sites.

Our stay at this 2 bedroom property,met all of our needs. Location was great. A 5 min walk to the beach and restaurants was a bonus. Location was perfect, to explore the north or south part of Kauai. Owner communicated with us to keep us informed with any questions we had.
