About this property

Little City "Big Heart"

Great Vermont country home within a short walk to town. Vergennes has lots of great restaurants, shops and a quaint little park to enjoy the outside in. Vergennes offers live music in some of our local pubs on the weekends. We are just a 15 min ride to Middlebury, 35 minute ride to Burlington, a short hour drive to some of the best ski resorts such as Killington, Mad River Glen, Stowe. We are also 10-12 minutes away form Basin Harbor Golf course.
We are within 15-20 minutes to some great Winery's and Breweries just as Wood Chuck Cider, Lincoln Peak, Otter Creek Brewery and Drop in Brewing.
Also with in 35-45 minutes to Shelburn Vineyard, Switchback Brewing, Magic Hat and many other great places to eat and drink at.

Perfect for leaf peppers, Golfers and skiers !!!

The house includes an open floor plan with kitchen, dining and livingroom all together. It has a propane fire place to enjoy on the cool nights in the livingroom. Upstairs Bedroom 1 has queen bed. Bedroom 2 has queen bed, Bedroom 3 has a full bed. Bedroom 4 has 2 twin beds Bed 5 is on first floor has a full bed.
Our Home offers a large back yard with a patio and fire pit along with a grille for cooking dinner on. We also have a large front porch which is great for relaxing on after a long day.
We have board games, movies and books and board games.
No parties Allowed
Only the 8 guests are allowed on the property- no additional people are permitted at anytime

Wonderful Weekend in Vergennes

This house was perfect for our weekend in Vergennes. Having a roomy and comfortable home to go to in between wedding events was just what we needed and it gave the 8 of us our own spaces to spread out. This home had everything we needed and more. Tammie was very responsive from booking to checking out. If we have a reason to go to the Burlington area again we will absolutely stay here again!

Great spot!

We were in the area for a weekend wedding. This house was perfect for my family. While we didn't spend much time at the house, when we did it was quite comfortable and fully stocked. We would return!

Beautiful family home!

Appreciate the "homey" feel and how well-stocked the kitchen was.... very helpful!! Also appreciate little details like message on the chalk board and toys for little ones. You thought of everything!

Great family space

We invited our son and his wife and baby as well as some cousins to stay with us at this large home when we were in Vergennes for a wedding. The house was a perfect place for hanging out and we enjoyed having toys for the kids, ping pong for the adults and teens, and just the space to sit and relax with family. The house was wonderfully supplied. The one complaint I heard from my son and cousin was the non master double beds were too soft. In fact, one couple moved into the twin bedroom as a result. The front porch with the ceiling fan became a favorite place to sit on the hot days. We did have a problem during our stay and our hosts responded immediately. Vergennes is a great small town with nice restaurants and shops.

Great stay with family

While it was a quick weekend trip, the welcoming home made it very relaxing. Plenty of space inside and bedrooms for everyone, but also a great patio and front porch to enjoy as well. In the lead up to our stay, Tammie was also very communicative making it stress free. Hope to enjoy again!

Family gathering

We loved our weekend at Tammie’s property. The house was amazing and had everything you could possibly need. We loved having campfires on the back patio and playing wiffle ball in the large back yard. We also spent a lot of time on the front porch and using the ping pong table. Everyone in our group said the house had all the comforts of home. . All the furniture and beds were so comfy. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Warm, inviting house

Perfect location for our group to attend a baby shower nearby. Everyone had their own room. The house was immaculate and the host was out snowplowing the drive after a storm so we could get out. They even let a gift for the baby! Will return again in the future.

Cozy Home Close to Slopes and Schools

Our stay was a combination of visiting colleges and catching a little skiing time, and the house was the perfect place to rest in between. Very clean, tons of room, a well-equipped kitchen, gas fireplace, and comfortable beds made for relaxing evenings. Highly recommended!

Great house and hosts

We had nine adult family members staying at the property for a wedding in the area. This property was perfect for us. We enjoyed the fire pit and ping pong while we were there. The beds are very comfortable with mints and water in every bedroom. There are two recliners in the main living space that are so comfortable, you’ll think you are on a cloud. Plenty of information about the property and a very welcoming vibe. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you !

Wedding Weekend

This was a great place to stay with a 2 and 5 year old. The house was well childproofed. There was plenty of room on the porches for people to hang out. The kids really enjoyed the many cars and trucks to play with. AC was clutch with temps in the high 90's

One of the vest VRBO/rental’s we’ve ever stayed at!

We had such a wonderful time at Tammie’s VRBO. It has the comforts of a home (welcome snacks, lots of towels/blankets, toys for our toddlers, fully stocked kitchen/condiments, fire pit and s’mores makings, etc) while also being a well-designed, modern, and clean rental! The beds were super comfortable too! Tammie was super quick with pre-trip and during trip communications, and so accommodating and helpful with anything we needed. The backyard is beautiful, there’s lots of space to play inside, and it worked so well for our group. I’d definitely recommend it and stay there again! It’s close to the community pool, elementary school playground, and downtown Vergennes. And not too far from Middlebury. Perfect place, thanks for having us!

Lovely Home!

We had a great stay at Tammie's property, a lot of amenities and personal touches that made us feel welcome! Great location for a mixed group of skiers/non-skiers where some folks spent time in Burlington while others skied at the Sugarbush area. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home in Vergenes

The house was spotless, I had everything one could need. Lots of clean towels, a coffee maker with pods, And a warm fireplace. The little town is very cute with lots of cute little stores and bakeries. About 15 minutes from Middlebury College. Will definitely come back

Large House - Convenient Location

This is a large suburban-style house on a rural road - convenient location - about a 20-minute walk to the center of this charming town. We especially enjoyed using the outdoor grill and eating on the back patio. And the covered front porch was wonderful for breakfast - even in the drizzling rain. We loved going into town for maple creamies and biking the small roads along the coast and bordered by cow farms around Vergennes. The house itself is mostly very lovely. The first floor living areas are a little dark and the living room is oddly-shaped. And even though the kitchen is well-stocked with all the cooking utensils and dishes you'll need, we had to wash many of the items before using them. But these are small issues for what was otherwise a very comfortable home and a delightful vacation.
