Private La Jolla Cottage Retreat Near Windandsea Beach with Fruit Tree Garden

With your own private cottage enjoy La Jolla beaches and village and the San Diego area from a lovely residential neighborhood, just four blocks from the golden sand of WindanSea and Marine Street beaches. The residence has air conditioning (even though really not needed as so close to the beach that the residence enjoys the cool ocean breezes) This is a gardener's paradise - featuring a raised vegetable garden for planting and one dozen fruit trees - lemon, avocado, orange, fig, lime, tangerine. Enjoy your gardening passion with the freedom to plant in the garden. Accommodations are a 1 bedroom/1 bath with large living/dining/kitchen area and private fenced in yard with fig and fruit trees, outdoor dining table, BBQ, outdoor couches and lounge chairs. All appliances and designer furnishings in this sophisticated contemporary are newer. The granite countertop kitchen is fully equipped with dining table and an island area for eating and cooking. Free Direct TV and WiFi Internet come with the rental. The unit also includes a washer and dryer.

The retreat has off-street parking for one car as well as on street parking and a public lot just a short block away. Parking is free.

Housekeeping every other week for monthly stays is included. Additional housekeeping is available.

The house is in a great location for enjoying the amenities of La Jolla and the San Diego area. La Jolla is a friendly town for walking. It is just four blocks to the Beach and La Jolla Village businesses, dining, shopping and other activities are within ½ mile of the retreat – town center, museums, restaurants, shops and businesses. A delightful Sunday Farmers Market is a source of fresh produce and unique crafts. The Coggan Aquatic Center with Olympic-size pool and sports complex offering tennis courts, track, baseball fields and basketball courts is located just two blocks east of the home. As an alternative to strolling thru La Jolla, the main public bus line stops within a block of the house and provides transportation throughout La Jolla and south to Pacific Beach, Mission Bay and other San Diego destinations. Beach bikes are also readily available for rental. Come and enjoy the beauty and relaxation provided by our fabulous La Jolla!

Lovely in La Jolla
My daughter and I enjoyed this sweet cottage for a long weekend in La Jolla. It was clean, the bedding was comfortable, and we much appreciated the assigned parking space. Lisa was a wonderful host and very responsive.

Wonderful cottage stay
The cottage was spotless, well equipped and located an easy walk from everything. We loved using it as our La Jolla home base. The back yard and seating area were fantastic. We loved being able to get limes straight off the tree! We will definitely be back.

A lovely La Jolla Retreat
This cozy apartment made for a wonderful stay during our time in San Diego. It is stylish and comfortable and the outdoor garden space is absolutely lovely. We very much enjoyed eating eating the abundant fruit from the patio! The home is also in a great location with easy access to the beach (Windandsea) and La Jolla village!

L’endroit est impeccable, super propre et confortable. La cuisine est très bien équipée, il ne manque rien et tout est neuf. Le lit est confortable, beaucoup de rangement dans la chambre à coucher. Lisa’s Beach Cottage is Perfect
My partner and I spent two glorious months at Lisa’s Beach Cottage. It is expertly equipped and comfortable and it is walking distance to everything LaJolla has to offer. Few short blocks to Windansea and Marine Beaches. 10-15 minute walk to the Village shops and restaurants and The Cove. We had a car and took many quick trips to Balboa Park attractions in San Diego and Delmar, Carlsbad and Oceanside are a short drive. We have rented many times on VRBO-Lisa was the easiest and most attentive host by far. A perfect winter vacation from New England!

Wonderful cottage/guest house in La Jolla
The cottage is well maintained, well furnished with all the amenities and clean. It is a mere 5 min walk to the beach and nicely situated close to La Jolla Cove downtown, and shopping. The hosts are responsive and helpful with questions, suggestions. I highly recommend this property.

Very nice cottage a short walk from the beach, restaurants, and La Jolla village. Lisa has provided everything you need for a relaxing stay in this quiet and unique San Diego neighborhood. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks to the many beautiful sights La Jolla has to offer, capped off by the incredible sunsets. All other greater San Diego sights are a fairly short drive away. A nice private yard with citrus and avocado trees adds to the enjoyment. We would return!

Simply lovely
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Lisa’s property. It was quiet, clean, well-stocked and in a great location - short walk to the beach, Windbsea, Birdrock or Pearl Street restaurants. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the outside space was a major upside. We hope to rent again soon!

My husband and I had a fantastic stay! The cottage is updated, furnished nicely and very welcoming. Peaceful, private outdoor space. Great neighborhood; can walk to La Jolla village, the Cove and many places to eat. Beach is a short 7 min walk. Definitely hope to return!

Beautiful little cottage, exquisitely decorated, and with all the comforts of home. The large outdoor space equipped with barbecue, ample seating and even a hammock was an added bonus, and very private. Love the location being only a short walk from the beach and great restaurants, and having a dedicated, easily accessible parking space was a huge plus. Spent 5 weeks here and thoroughly enjoyed every second. Lisa is an amazing host! Not only did she respond promptly to all of my questions, she also made helpful suggestions as regards eating places, coffee shops etc. I am already looking for excuses to come back!

Our little paradise
We booked Lisa's place in La Jolla for a month in January to skip the East Coast winter. The house is in a nice and quiet neighborhood only 5 minutes walk up the street from the beautiful blue pacific ocean. One of our daily pleasures was walking on the dramatic majestic La Jolla coastline, watching the sunset, having coffee on the beach, all 5 minutes from the house. The center of the town with its many restaurants, shops, markets, was only 10 minutes walk. The house itself was very comfortable and welcoming and we immediately made it our home away from home. I can't say enough about the pleasure of having the small garden with the oranges and lemons trees, to enjoy having breakfast, dinner, bbq, or just relaxing, reading a book on the lounges. Communication with Lisa was easy, accomodating, and helpful. We were very very sad to leave and hoping to be able to come back. Thank you Lisa for sharing your beautiful house with us.
