About this property
Beach Shack near Point and cafes. Large fenced yard. Book for last week January
Zinc is a cute and cosy quintessential beach shack located at Middleton in the area known as The Point. A few minutes walk will have you strolling along Middleton Beach, watching the surfers, (and the whales in winter!)
Whilst small in size, Zinc is big on the cute and cosy factor, and with a large outdoor deck and huge backyard, it is ideal for couples or small families.
There are three bedrooms, a small living dining kitchen area and a small bathroom and laundry. The kids will love the bunks and the yard big enough to kick the footy or a play a game of cricket. The backyard is set up for children with an outdoor blackboard which is very popular.
The kitchen is equipped with all cooking facilities including a dishwasher so there is no excuse for not cooking up a storm with all the fresh produce you purchase from the local markets.
If you are not keen on cooking, the location of Zinc is perfect, with the Middleton Tavern, coffee shops, bakery and surf shop all within a lovely 5-10 minute walk.
As keen recyclers, most of Zinc's furniture is preloved or recycled, as we were also keen to preserve the "shack" feel of our property.
We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

About the host

We love travelling and especially the beach! We live on a farm in the Adelaide Hills and run cattle and sheep and the normal menagerie of farm pets including dogs, chickens, guinea pigs etc.
Whenever we need a break from farm work, we duck down to the shack to reinvigorate ourselves!
Whenever we can, we also head overseas to explore countries we have never seen.

Why they chose this property
We love this area of the rugged South Coast surf beaches, and we kept waiting for an untouched shack to come onto the market at Middleton Point. We really wanted to be within walking distance to the beach and also to the cafes and main shopping area. Houses rarely come up for sale in this area, so when Zinc became available, we snapped it up immediately and set to work renovating it to its current standard. We wanted to keep the authentic shack feel, but add a few bits and pieces like an updated bathroom and R/C Air Conditioning.
What makes this property unique
It would have to be the location! To be able to hear the sea from the back deck, and the crashing waves of the surf and know that it is only a couple of minutes walk away.
We also love the huge rear deck we added to the large backyard, which means that although the shack is small, the outdoor living means that a family can stay comfortably.
