Located in the heart of Garrett County, MD and just 10 minutes from the base of Wisp Resort and the McHenry side of Deep Creek Lake! One block to cheese and wine shop Firefly Farms and a couple blocks to the local bakery. Enjoy summer activities on the lake including boat/jet ski rentals, state park beach area, zip lines, mountain coaster, hiking and much more. Or choose a winter getaway and spend some time on the slopes skiing or snow tubing. House is dog friendly so no need to leave your furry friend behind!

Deep creek lake adventure
First time visit to Deep Creek Lake to go boating. Had a great time and lucked out with perfect weather! Our VRBO was roomy, comfortable and so well stocked! Thank you!

Fair Week and Family Visit
This home was a great place to stay during our week long visit to Garrett County. Much better than a hotel stay as this home has all the amenities from home including a GREAT fenced in yard that my tot enjoyed running in! We made breakfast every morning to start our day. The kitchen is fully stocked with all your needs (minus a microwave). I reached out to the owner the day we arrived (an hour early) and she gave us permission to enter early. I reached out on one additional occasion and she responded quickly. To me it is always nice to travel with clean clothes, so the washer/dryer is a plus. The home has plenty of sleep space! 4 twins and 2 queens in 4 rooms. The laundry room serves dual purpose with bunk beds (we utilized the top bunk mattress on the floor for our tot who is still in the crib at home). There are books, toys, even a baby gate for use at the stairs if you need it!

Everything you need...
Great house with everything you need. Kitchen was well supplied with everything you could need. Excellent choice for families with children or pets. Baby gates, toys, games, puzzles, pack n play as well as large dog crate and large fenced in yard. Our kids and dog enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Owner was quick to respond to any questions or messsges. The property is easy to find and close to most everything to do in the area. We will visit again in the future.

Fall Fishing Trip
While this is a quaint house in a very quiet little town, the property could use a good cleaning as well as more than 1 light bulb in a lot of the fixtures. It is within about 20 minutes of the boat launch at the Deep Creek Lake State Park so that is handy. The first impression is okay as the kitchen light has 5 bulbs, but that is the only one that does. The dining room light only has 1 working bulb and most of the bedrooms as well as the living room only have one dim bulb. The appliances and utensils provided are more than adequate if your planning on cooking your meals there.

Great little hideaway
Great little spot to hang with family. Close to attractions and accommodating for a family. It had all we needed. We enjoyed our stay and the fact our pups could come along too!

More for your money
We rented this property for a week long Deep Creek Lake vacation. The prices for rentals IN Deep Creek were ridiculous, especially peak summer season for somewhere we could bring the dogs so we expanded our search to nearby towns. It’s about a 20-30 minute drive to get to anything on the lake, and there isn’t a whole lot to do in the town of Accident itself but for the price it was absolutely worth the drive to get to activities. The same amount of space closer to the lake would easily have cost 4 times as much and it actually ended up being even more space than we needed. The house was clean and had all of the basic features we were looking for (A/C, internet, washer/dryer, dishwasher) plus a sizable fenced yard for the dogs. I would definitely recommend it, we had a great time.

2nd stay and won't be the last
We love Deep Creek but it can be so expensive. Staying here helps ease that cost and provides a clean and comfortable accommodation. It's an older home. and not fancy, but the location is great, the beds are comfy, the kitchen is well stocked and the large fenced yard is a haven for our dog. The local cheese shop is amazing and Nona's pizza makes for a delicious and easy dinner. I'm sure we'll be back for a 3rd stay.

Comfortable Home, Great Location
We had a long weekend and found the location to be perfect. Walking distance to a bakery (awesome donuts) a cheese shop and pizza place. Short drive to Deep Creek. We slept well. Loved the church bells that chimed each day. Plenty of pots & pans, silverware, spices and even good knives. The house was clean but could use a deep clean. Lighting was adequate in the kitchen but most rooms were only dimly lit. The fenced yard was fantastic and our dog loved it. Comfortable living room and tons of TV channels to watch. Owner was quick to respond to questions. It's not the Ritz, but we would stay again in a heartbeat.

Best choice!
Away from traffic and crowds, but close enough to DCL. Relaxed, laid-back town. Very walkable, quiet. Accident is a quaint town. Loved the house, well-equipped. Fenced yard a bonus for our dogs. Definitely will return.

Cozy & comfy
This property is older but very comfortable in a quiet neighborhood five miles from McHenry. It suited our needs so well. It is pet friendly and had a huge fenced in yard so our pups could run and play in safety. I loved having coffee on the covered porch in the morning watching the pups play! I would stay here again, and plan to in the future!
