Cozy Lake Cottage On Beautiful Gun Lake with Pontoon

Located on Beautiful Gun Lake, a 2,800 acre all sport lake. 50' lake front across the street, docked included. Very shallow and sandy. 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, and laundry as well. Just a couple blocks from Bay Pointe. Perfect stay to have the needs of a home rather than a hotel. Enjoy quiet evenings around a fire pit roasting and building memories. Linens included. Kayak is included and pontoon available however it is not included in cottage rental. Saturday to Saturday for summer months.

Gun Lake Cottage

We had a wonderful time here. The lake is beautiful and has a sandy bottom. The cottage is clean and cozy. Lots of room!!! Boat was fun too. Michelle was a superb host, she made sure our needs were taken care of, we will return ☺️

Great spot to enjoy lake time

We had a really nice stay. The property was clean and very comfortable indoors and outdoors for our family of four. Loved the patio area, yard and wonderful sandy lake bottom. Also, house is easy drive to grocery store and marinas.

Love this place!

The place is cute and lake was wonderful. Michelle is such a great host. The kitchen was fully stocked and the patio provided a great place to eat our meals. I highly recommend this cottage.

Great week

Cottage was exactly as advertised. Host was super nice and responsive. We also rented the pontoon for the week and loved cruising around the beautiful, large lake. Convenient to be able to walk to Bay Pointe Inn for the wedding we attended.

Great vacation

We had the best time . Michelle was the best and very accommodating. She was quick to respond on any questions. Her little cottage was perfect for everything we needed . This cottage has everything and anything you could need to enjoy the Best lake . Gun Lake is one of my favorite memories growing up and for my kids too . She made this vacation the best with her cottage . We could not of asked for a better vacation.

Perfect Getaway

We found this property to be exactly as described. We rented this for out of town guests for a wedding. They were very pleased with the accommodations. Great location and very clean and very roomy! I highly recommend this cottage!

Wonderful stay

Property was clean. It was easy to communicate with Michelle. Location is great, walking distance to Bay Pointe Inn. Have to cross a street to get to the boat dock which did not bother us, but may bother some with small children. Overall great stay!

Family Reunion/Gun Lake Getaway

Michelle's cottage was perfect for our 6 person family group. The 3 bedrooms (a total of 4 beds) & a living room provided plenty of room for us to spread out. The cottage boasts many recent updates including new flooring throughout. There are 2 nice bathrooms a nice little kitchen & a nice washer & dryer. We found everything to be clean & in good working condition. We had no problems during our stay whatsoever! In addition a pontoon boat is available to rent (separately), which we did. We enjoyed touring this wonderful lake on her very nice pontoon boat. Michelle is easy to contact & an overall excellent host!! I hope we get a chance to stay here again! Thanks Michelle!

Place was perfect for a get away. So beautiful! And right in the lake. Host was very helpful during our stay. She answered all questions quickly to ensure our stay was the best. Very clean. Very comfortable. Very relaxing!!

If I could give overall 0 rating, I would.

Pros: Nice BBQ, outdoor sitting space, convenient to Bay Pointe, right across from lake, nice view, flowers outside. Cons: Photos on VRBO are not an accurate reflection of inside/condition of house. Pervasive spider & cricket infestation inside home, spider & cobwebs throughout inside. Likely mouse or rodent infestation in attic. Can hear active scratching & running at night. Not clean or maintained well inside. Showing significant signs of wear. Chaise lounge in picture has large tears/stains. Fridge was dirty, food on outside handles and on fridge shelves, dried crusted food on silverware & utensils in drawers. Pillows, mattress pad protectors old, stained. Transitions in some rooms (at least 1 1/2 inch difference in height) in hallway are sharp & a trip hazard. Numerous scented oil plug ins created overpowering odor. Dangerous for those with asthma or breathing problems. Very, very disappointing stay to say the least. We spent a lot of money to stay here for several days while in town for a wedding. Left early. This property has a lot of potential if these issues were resolved & the property was maintained.

Comfortable, relaxing get away

Great kitchen with breakfast bar and table, spacious living room., and comfortable bedrooms. Very nice dock and lakefront. We enjoyed renting the pontoon cruising and fishing on the lake. The owner was readily available for our questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Gun Lake Cottage!

This house is perfect for a lake getaway. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a decent sized meal and also has a gas grill and a fire pit, both of which we used and were great. The location is perfect, the living area is a great size for hanging out and the two back bedrooms were quite large. The bathrooms looked like they'd recently been remodeled, which was nice. The only odd thing I feel I should call out is that the largest, most rear bedroom can only be accessed by going through the second bedroom...but I assume you're either with friends or family so who cares! It was truly great staying here and Michelle was a wonderful host. Unfortunately the washing machine wasn't working when we tried to use it but she called a repair person right away and actually washed our towels for us while we waited. It was so wonderful to have such a kind host. She was very responsive when we needed something but left us alone to enjoy our week. We also rented her pontoon boat and it was quite fun to have for the week. All in all, I have a feeling we'll be staying there again soon!

Great stay at Gun Lake

We loved our stay at Gun Lake and would highly recommend this house. The owner was great to work with. Upon entering the house we noticed how clean and spotless everything was. The location was great and everything matched the description and pictures. Thank you for sharing your property with us!
