This house is a spacious yet cozy hideaway nestled in the quaint historic village of Allegany, NY, just 1 1/2 miles from St. Bonaventure University, 14 miles from the Seneca Allegany Casino, 19 miles from Holiday Valley Resort, 20 miles from Allegany State Park, and only 2 blocks from restaurants and shops. A patio, balcony, and fenced in back yard provide plenty of private outdoor space. The interior boasts lots of natural woodwork, skylights, and a woodstove as a secondary heat source, giving it a warm holiday lodge feel. With lots of space and an open concept main floor, this house is perfect for families or large groups. While it may be tempting to completely disconnect and just enjoy this relaxing home and the beauty of the surrounding area, for those that need to stay connected, WiFi is included. For the eco-conscious traveler, many of the bed sheets are made of organic cotton and the pillows are hypoallergenic and also made with unbleached organic cotton and recycling is offered and encouraged.

Great house and location!

We had an awesome stay at this place to visit our son for family weekend at St. Bonaventure. Very close to downtown Allegany and a short drive to campus. The house was very charming and clean and our host was great!

Quiet location in a nice small town

The location is on a quiet street in a laid back, small college town. The property is obscured by trees and foliage which gives an impression of being out in the country, even though the house is in a town. The kitchen and other areas are well stocked with needs.

We rented this property for family members who were attending the graduation at St. Bonaventure.

This property was so well equipped that we didn’t need any cookware or appliances. It was so well stocked with everything you would have needed! The house was unique with the woodwork in the living and dining rooms. We were all very impressed!!

Visiting our daughter at St. Bonaventure

This house was perfect while we were visiting our daughter. The house was spacious, clean and comfortable allowing me to work from the house during our visit. Allison was always available if needed. The location was central for visiting all attractions in the area as well.

Lovely Stay

We had a great stay. The property has plenty of space for multiple families and everything you could need in supplies. Very short walk to Main Street and great proximity if you are visiting the university.

Cozy ski weekend

The house was just as wonderful as we expected. Nice woodstove for post ski warmup (only 20 minutes to Art Roscoe Ski Area) and full kitchen for cooking meals. The house was comfortable and spacious with an interesting architecture. We all agreed it was the cleanest house we ever stayed in. Hope to stay here again in the future!

Great house for our Thanksgiving gathering

Our extended family group spent a relaxing and comfortable weekend at this well-appointed house. It was super clean and ready for our arrival. The kitchen had more than enough pots, pans, and prep tools to put together our Thanksgiving meal. The host is a great communicator and was very accommodating. Thank you Allison for a lovely stay!

Month long stay

My friends and I stayed for for four weeks during the fall while we could all work remotely. The house was exactly as described in the posting. It was perfect for our group and dog, with lots of space for everyone and a great fenced in yard. It’s just a few blocks from town and is in a quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend staying here, especially for larger groups!

Large home, well stocked.

We enjoyed our stay. We had over 10 people in the house and had plenty of room. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of sheets, blankets and towels. Great location, close to stores, mall and restaurants. The owner was great to work with and responded immediately when we had questions. Definitely coming back next year!

Family Easter Weekend

The house was perfect for our stay. We were there to have dinner with my daughter and her friend’s family for Easter. The house is in a perfect spot to walk to Alleghany and was set up great to cook dinner. We had a great time!!

Huge space with plenty of room

This house was perfect for our large group of friends. We had ten people, with a mix of couples and singles, and everyone had their own space. House felt private when you were inside but was in a good neighborhood and close to the rest of the town. Open first floor had a lot of space for us to hang out together.

This house is absolutely beautiful...It is in the middle of other houses but you would never know because of the privacy!!! Great place to stay!!! We can't wait to go back next year!!

Beautiful house, lots of room for our family.

Thanks for sharing your house. Lots of space, lots of amenities. No parking on road after November 1st-got a warning on our windshield. Having the Roku was helpful to entertain the grandkids. Very clean house. Got quite cool in the mornings- instructions on thermostat would be helpful. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat. Allison was super accommodating!

Perfect for a group of friends on a wedding weekend

We loved staying in this cozy home! It fit our large group number perfectly and each room was decorated uniquely and comfortably. This is was a perfect place for our group of friends to settle in while in town for a friend's wedding. It was well-stocked and homey. We loved the place and Allison was a great host. (It was a bit moldy smelling upon entering but nothing a few open windows didn't fix!)

Beautiful Place for a Getaway

We brought our grandsons with us. This home is beautiful and spacious. The boys had their own areas, but the favorite was the large living room. Family came to visit and everyone gathered there and in the adjoining eating area. Allison maintains a spotless house with everything you need. The front yard is a magical area with a canopy of shrubs and trees which provide complete privacy from street noise . We all hope to return again to this wonderful home.
