Wonderful private property. Gorgeous wrap around porch right on river! Well stocked kitchen. Comfy beds. Super clean. Living room needs better lighting, could be updated. Had a wonderful time.
The best part was sitting on the porch watching the boats go by.
The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need.
In the description of this house there should a notice that it is not handicap friendly. You need to go down big stones to get to the front door and the stairs to the two bedrooms are steep.
The living room had inadequate furniture to sit comfortably.
Considering the price to rent this house for two weeks, it should have included linens and towels too.
However the location was ideal.
Weary from the craziness of the world, we checked into Water's Edge after a long day on the road. Wow. The house is situated in a perfect venue for enjoying nature and the bustle of life on the water. The porch was literally like a magnet holding us for hours every morning as we sat and had our coffee and just soaked in the beauty and charm of it all. Having a Bald Eagle land in a tree just fee from the porch was icing on the cake. Conveniently located, well furnished, and nicely decorated, we would not hesitate to return for another Midcoast Maine vacation.
Property is a 10 of 10. Beautiful well equipped waterside cottage. Beautiful setting with wonderful wrap-around porch. Quiet, nature and lobster boats pulling traps. Kitchen is outstanding and place is charming. Exactly what we hoped.
Close to town but away from activity and traffic. Perfect for quiet get-away.
Clean and well appointed property that is very convenient to Boothbay Harbor, the Coastal Maine botanical gardens, and just a short walk to popular Robinsons Wharf restaurant. Large deck where you can enjoy the serenity of the scene of birds and passing boats in Townsend Gut.
We loved the porch overlooking the gut as we watched boats going by to pass through the swing bridge. We found the living room a little small lacking enough comfortable seating for four adults as our evenings were too cool to be outside. Everything else was good. We enjoyed our stay.
We stay at rental properties frequently and this was a gem! Clean, well-stocked and thoughtfully organized, clear communication from the property manager and a beautiful spot on the water. We loved sitting out on the dock and watching the boats go by.
One note for guests: the twin bedroom is the one facing the water and it has a bit more space and beautiful light. It was just two of us so we only brought queen sheets, but we wished we’d brought twin sheets too!
Beautiful coastal views; sounds of seagulls; quaint villages to visit; delicious seafood in friendly restaurants. And Ted & Barbara were welcoming and a wealth of Maine history!
We could not have been happier with our stay. The place was everything it was listed as and more. We would love to come back again next year and stay longer.
Beautiful, quaint cottage nestled on a quiet cove. Stayed the week with friends including another couple who rented the boathouse next door so we had access to the dock for daily kayaking and the occasional plunge into some cold water. The location is great. Walking distance to Robinson’s, five minutes drive to Boothbay harbor. The house was cozy and had all the essentials- cooked most of our meals, hung out on the porch overlooking the water and really got to unwind. Looking forward to coming back again.
This house was a perfect companion to The Boathouse next door where our daughter’s family stayed. We enjoyed their dock and they enjoyed meals on our wrap-around porch. We loved this house.
The epitome of the Maine experience…an amazing spot to relax on the generous porch overlooking the cove to walking to Robinson’s for lobster. We love this property and look forward to a return visit. Immaculate and well appointed for meals at home and cozy nights on the porch, reading or watching a movie. A short distance to town, Maine Coastal gardens, country stores and hiking trails. Always a day of pleasure! Thank you fro sharing it with us!!!
Charming cottage-like home in the woods with a great wrap-around deck, beautiful view of the water and the lobstermen at work. Plus lots of amenities like blender, toaster, fans and fire pit.
Quiet and peaceful yet only a five minute walk from Robinson's Wharf pub and restaurant. Comfie beds too.
The house was a perfect size three adults and our small dog. We spent the majority of our time day and night, on the deck, relishing the cool breeze on all but the most humid days. Due to the virus, we avoided restaurants and shopping.
Check in & communication with Traci was excellent. We would love to work with her again

Charming and Peaceful Cottage
Stayed in the Boothbay Area for the 5th consecutive year with my husband and two children, ages 6 and 10. This was the first time renting a cottage. The area was private and quiet. The cottage was charming, well-maintained, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The kitchen was updated with just the right amenities for a week stay. The wrap around porch was wonderful with plenty of seating and it was relaxing to sit outside in the morning and in the evenings.

Quiet Time
Beautiful cottage, great views, peaceful and quiet yet close to everything you may want on the peninsula. Have stayed next door in "The Boathouse" and is equally great. We will be back again.

Wonderful, Quiet Location
Less than 10 minutes to Boothbay Harbor center but a quiet peaceful location. You can't help but relax sitting on the wrap around deck while enjoying the view. We were even lucky enough to see a harbor seal one morning while having breakfast.
