This fully furnished, one-bedroom daylight basement apartment (with 78" ceilings) combines contemporary style with warmth, offering everything you need for a home away from home.

The apartment features a private entrance, a full eat-in kitchen with new appliances, including a range, refrigerator, and dishwasher. It has one bedroom with a queen bed and a spacious open living area with a full sofa sleeper. The full bathroom includes a tub and shower, and you’ll also have access to our charming backyard space, barbecue, and hot tub. The property is equipped with a new full-sized washer and dryer, high-definition satellite TV, and Wi-Fi.

Location, location, location! We’re situated in Upper Fremont, just two blocks south of the Woodland Park Zoo and Rose Garden. A short walk takes you to nearby restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, and public transportation. Our central location offers easy access to the popular Seattle neighborhoods of Fremont, Wallingford, Phinney Ridge, Green Lake, and Ballard. We’re only two blocks from major east-west and north-south routes, with downtown Seattle, the University of Washington, Seattle Pacific University, Lake Union, The Locks, and Golden Gardens all a quick bus or car ride away.

You can take a bus downtown to many Seattle attractions, including Pike Place Market, the Washington State Convention Center, and museums such as SAM (Seattle Art Museum), the Olympic Sculpture Park, and the Asian Art Museum. Also nearby are the Mariners, Seahawks, and Sounders stadiums, the Elliott Bay Waterfront with its aquarium and Big Wheel, the Space Needle, and the Chihuly Garden and Glass Exhibit. There’s excellent shopping at Westlake Center and Pacific Place, plus the MOHAI (Museum of History and Industry) and Center for Wooden Boats in South Lake Union. Perfect Place in Fremont
A very clean, comfortable place to come back to, after a long day in the city or mountains. It’s a home away from home with a great kitchen, and great access to transit. The neighborhood has everything you could want too. I really enjoyed staying here!

The Woodland Park Suite was exactly as described and completely fit my needs for a recent week long stay. Although the ceiling is lower than regular room height, it still worked out fine--even for someone as tall as me (6'1"). The fresh flowers were a thoughtful and welcoming touch.

Very nice apartment
We stayed here with our 2 childeren (10mo and 4yrs) for a week while in Seattle for a wedding. The place was very nice, clean, and welcoming. It had everything we needed for our short stay, including a pack and play, kitchen, and laundry. I would definitely recommend the rental.

Comfortable, contemporary apartment with lots of amenities and decorative touches. Easy walking distance to public transportation and local restaurants. Very comfortable bed; lots of windows and good lighting; low ceilings were not an issue not was street parking. Nice neighborhood.

Beautiful property in the heart of Fremont
Extremely well done basement apartment. Like all of them in that area, it has a low ceiling, but everything about this one is modern and well appointed. Fantastic kitchen for a tight space. The pull out sofa was a nice treat too. Easy to get in and out also.

Friendly hosts, great location
We spent a few months here last year, as we were looking for a house to buy. The unit is on the lower level, but there are enough windows to make it seem open, and it was really well equiped for cooking, laundry, and TV internet connections. The location can't be beat, close to Green Lake, UW, not that far from downtown Seattle, and Fremont is a unique and colorful neighborhood. Jeff and Sarah and their two kids are a nice family, and they are accessible for whatever you might need. We had a couple of unusual requirements, and they found a way to accommodate with no problem. Sometimes the biggest challenge was getting up early, as it is super comfortable and quiet, not much street noise. With kids and pets there is a little overhead noise, but it never lasts too long. I'd recommend this for a short or long term stay.

Seattle getaway
Overall great place. We arrived to a beautiful basement apartment that had all the amenities you could need and more. Sarah added wonderful personal touches that made us feel extra welcome. The location is wonderful, we walked to the zoo which is just a couple blocks away and there are great restaurants and markets within walking distance. It is a basement apartment so you can hear footsteps and voices from the main house but it's to be expected from a basement. Overall a great place.

Would definitely rent again
The suite was immaculate and very well equipped. The owners, Sarah & Jeff are very welcoming and helpful regarding information about the Fremont neighbourhood and Seattle in general. There were three adults in our group and the suite was very accommodating for all. Staying in the Woodland Park Suite is like living in an IKEA showroom. The location is convenient for the zoo and accessible to downtown Seattle. We will definitely rent again when we return to Seattle.

Very nice
Clean, comfortable, well-equipped. Convenient location close to Fremont, Green Lake, Woodland Park Zoo, and north Seattle. Close to Aurora Ave and Fremont Ave for easy access north and south, but in a quiet residential neighborhood with easy street parking. Nice hosts.

Very nice place, close to Seattle
It is a newly renovated basement apartment that is sparkling clean and everything including kitchen ware was new from IKEA. We enjoyed the location in Fremont which was very close to our daughter's place. The owner welcomed us and helped describe where to visit and eat in Seattle and how to get there. This was very helpful. We enjoyed the small bottles of wine and beer and the coffee and tea. Our adult son flew in for the week we stayed there and slept on the sofa in the living room that turns into a double bed. He was very thankful for the additional memory foam mattress pad to make the bed more comfortable. We really appreciated the washer and dryer available for us to use. The only surprise was the $1500.00 deposit fee that was totally refundable if there was no damage to the place. Since we never have damaged a place, it didn't seem necessary to lose the lesser security deposit fee by VBRO. So we paid the $1500. It seems an extreme fee by VBRO. (I hope we have been refunded it. We are still traveling at this time and have not checked our account.) Other than that, we recommend this place and may come again another year if our daughter and son-in-law are still living in Fremont Seattle. You will like the place.

Neat and clean with a great walking score.
We thoroughly enjoyed our five week stay at the Woodland Park Suite. We were in walking distance to a grocery store, several excellent resturaunts, a coffee shop, rose garden, and the Woodland Park Zoo. The E Line express bus to downtown Seattle was only a block and a half away on Aurora Ave and we could catch the east/west bus to Ballard or the University about a block and a half away on 45th and Fremont. A walk around Green Lake gave a us a great opportunity to exercise, people watch, and even do some stand up paddle boarding. Sarah and her family did everything they could to make sure our stay was pleasant. The apartment itself was very clean, modern, and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The washer and dryer in the apartment was a great convenience for our extended stay. The Woodland Park Suite is a great place to stay if you want visit downtown Seattle and neighborhoods to the north (Ballard, Fremont, Wallingford and the University District).

Lovely Place to Stay
Place was just as described and shown in photos. Very clean and well maintained with several nice extras ( including wine, chocolate and hot tea)! Very comfortable bed and sofa. A great location near the zoo, resturants and coffee shops. Owners were very responsive.

Superbly appointed, comfortable, home away from home!
Our second stay, felt like we were arriving at our Seattle home! The place was spotless, fresh flowers in place and wine in the fridge! The local is perfect for us, or daughter lives in Fremont and it's great to have such a perfect place less than a mile away. Kitchen is well equipped and we had a fun family dinner one night. Highly recommend. We'll be back!

Comfortable & Convenient
Sarah & Jeff are terrific hosts and made our 11-night stay so comfortable! The apartment is wonderfully clean and decorated with a modern, crisp style. There were fresh, bright flowers in each room and the house was stocked with a few local beers, some small bottles of wine, sparkling water, coffee, creamer, sugar as well as all the bathroom amenities a traveler could want - everything I needed after a long day of traveling. It was a fantastic location for walking to the zoo, playgrounds, great coffee shops, a grocery store, and restaurants. The backyard with sandbox, slide, playhouse, etc. was terrific for my 2-year-old son. Sarah was an amazing help when we had a bit of an emergency while there as well. I can't recommend this place or host enough! We will definitely be back!

Woodland Park Suite
My family and I stayed here for a week on vacation and it was great. It's a convenient location on and off the highway, to the grocery store and a couple fantastic coffee houses. Perfectly decorated for comfort. We hope to be back in the summer of 2017.

Perfect!
This apartment is wonderful! Sarah is a great host who makes sure the apartment is immaculate and that all your needs are taken care of. There are fresh flowers, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tissues, Q-tips, mouthwash, toothbrush, wine and chocolates waiting for you when you arrive. She even accommodated our request to drop off our luggage early since we arrived before check-in time. The location was great, in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the zoo and rose garden, a market and many restaurants, but also just a short cab/Uber ride from Seattle Center. We stayed 4 days and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Cant say enough good things
Lovely place to stay that was close to everything. Home owners were very lovely and accommodating. If you happen to have a rambunctious toddler like we do, watch out for the front door it's easy for busy hands to open :)

Woodland Park Suite
My husband and I chose this suite for our visit to Seattle first and foremost to be close to our daughter's apartment a few blocks away. We loved the layout of the suite, the location, the fresh flowers, the coffee that was provided, and the overall friendliness of our hosts. We were able to enjoy walking the neighborhood, and the beautiful paths to Green Lake through Woodland Park only a few blocks away. We walked to fantastic Fremont restaurants and a really nice grocery store is just a few blocks away as well. We didn't have a car, and didn't need one Thank you Sarah, we'll be back!

We'll be back
Loved the apartment. Well appointed, perfectly furnished with an eye to maximizing the space despite low ceilings. Very comfortable stay. Everything very clean with perfect touches like fresh flowers, wine & beer! Our hosts do everything in their power to not have noise from their home be a factor but it wouldn't be fair to future visitors not to give them a heads up that the family does live above the apartment and footsteps clearly are heard. Being a young family, we found they were not up late and the disturbance was very minimal. It won't keep us from returning but is the only thing that kept this from being a 5 star rating.

We are a family of 4 and have owned this home since December of 2006. We have done a number of renovations on the property over the years and have decided to take on the significant project of redoing the basement, bringing it down to the foundation and slab on grade and starting fresh.

Why they chose this property

We love the location of our home and we know that you will too. The house is tucked into a quiet nook of Upper Fremont, yet has immediate access to several major thoroughfares and countless amenities.
