We enjoyed our weekend. We were at Milwood Lake for a high school fishing tournament. The place was in a great location. And, had ample beds for our group. The parking couldn’t have been better, we were able to get two trucks with boats and additional vehicles into the space. Very pleased with this rental!
6 guys over 50, yearly fishing trip.
Great location, plenty of beds, large living area, plenty of parking. Very clean & everything worked.
Will be back next year!
The cabin was perfect for our weekend get away with the family. The property was as listed, clean, everything worked only struggle was the hot tub controls. Overall we had an excellent time.

Cute house!! Well equipped
The house an hot tub were both wonderful. The fishing wasn't good this weekend. We would stay here again.
Accuracy of listing was spot on! The owner was very responsive and helpful. The house is well appointed with plenty of room and everything you need. Located right on the river with a boat ramp across the street. I will definitely stay here again!
The location and amenities were great. Pam was extremely kind and gave us explicit directions, which I like. My only conflict was the animal hair which aggravated my allergies, but other than that, our stay was great.
Came in town from south Texas. Visited our daughter. Thankful that our dogs could be secured in back yard. No need to board… no need for them to come into the vrbo house. Perfect for us.
Overall it was nice. A few concerns were the firepit should be closer to the house by the deck area for easier usage. The little pond area needs to the grass cut around it, tall grass invites snakes. The hot tub was not real warm and location could be on flat ground rather than having to climb steps and worry about falling. Everything inside was excellent and we truly enjoyed the house. Outside area did need some work. Overall, we would rent again.

Little Piece of Heaven!!!
The House is awesome, plenty of room for 2 or for us and our 8 grand children that we would love to bring with us next time. If you like something comfortable, close to the lake with views right out the front windows than this is the place to visit. The fishing was wonderful caught plenty of Sand Bass, Black Bass and Catfish. All the items that you need for 2 nights or a week, if you need something though the city limits is not that far away. Every person we met on our week stay was very nice and helpful. From the regulars that came every day to see how far the lake was up, to anyone and everyone we met while shopping in town. Quiet community and friendly neighbors all around. Highly recommend this rental would definitely stay here again.
The owners of this place do communicate very well. Any time I had a question, they were very quick to respond.
I'm used to having my check in details a few days in advance. At the latest, 24 hours in advance. We didn't get any check in details until the day of check in which makes a worrier like me super anxious, but thankfully that all worked out ok.
The house was very clean and was as advertised. The first night my husband and I stayed in the bedroom with the queen bed near the flower garden with the pond. We ended up finding at least 5 spiders that night/morning. So we moved to the middle bedroom. I was willing to pay the extra beds used fee for this because I'm terrified of spiders.
The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to use to cook during our stay.
There were no complaints from the kids about their beds but the queen beds did have my and my husband holding our backs as we walk, but that age is also a factor there too lol.
The landscaping could use some TLC.
We enjoyed our view of the water. We walked down to sit on the picnic tables on the water several times during our stay.
The neighbor across the street from the back of the house did have music playing annoyingly loud from sun up til sun down one day. Which that is no fault of the owners but just something to note if you're looking for a quite day in nature.
Overall we had a nice trip and we loved passing all the farm animals when coming in and out from this house 😊

Fishing trip
We had a good time with family fishing and cooking out. Our only problem was the landscaping. The weeds was really high and creepy. We will book again cause its right at the boating dock where we fish.
The property was clean, everything worked and was in order and the lake is right out the door. Make sure you bring a fishing pole!

I've always had fond memories of Millwood Lake. Summertime meant time to spend with my Grandparents who lived at Millwood Lake. My Grandfather was an avid fisherman and hunter and a great teacher. I also have a love for hunting and fishing!
Why they chose this property
After moving away from the Texarkana area to serve in the Air Force, I missed the whispering pines and the Cypress trees. In early 2000, I went to the Bullfrog Marina Restaurant, a floating building at Jack's Isle. I always admired the A frame house directly in front of the ramp. How excited I was to see that 'for sale' sign! I was told this was the first home built at Jack's Isle back in the early '70s. It has taken many hours to remodel and update this house. I hope you, too will enjoy the lake view! Take a walk down to the boat ramp and you usually can catch a glimpse of a gator or two. Sit back and enjoy the meditation area by the koi pond or watch the anxious fisherman hurrying to get that boat in the water in hopes of the 'big one'!
What makes this property unique
The living room is a tall vaulted ceiling with a loft bedroom over the downstairs bedrooms/bath and kitchen. A climate controlled sunroom overlooks the lake. The hot tub is secluded from public view. A screened in porch on the side of the home can be used as a bug free coffee/smoking area. A large deck outside for entertaining and/or enjoying the lake view. To stay with the nature of this lovely lake, the home is decorated in a fishing/duck hunting theme.
