4 Bdrm,2 Ba home just steps from the Gulf, Amazing Gulf Views, Large Open Deck
Honey Dunes is a great 4 bedroom, 2 bath beach house located just steps from the Gulf of Mexico. Although it is not classified as "gulf front", it very well should be. It is as close to the water's edge as some of our gulf front homes but the price is different. It is a very spacious home with beautiful, fun decor and an open deck that is waiting for you to enjoy. Honey Dunes is the perfect house for the family who wants to be gulf front but also wants to stick to the budget! Minimum Age Requirement of 25. Rents Saturday to Saturday during Main Seasons unless calendar is already broken up or requested time is approved by homeowner.

Big enough house for 10 or more. There are two pull put couches in livingroom. Well stocked kitchen even with family size crockpot!!! Beds need replaced. Old creaky.
What a great place to stay, very convenient for dogs, plenty of room for dining, cooking & sleeping. Highly recommend for big family's or just a couple, Stones throw from the water with great views from the deck and living dining area.
Great location and beach access. House had a great layout and very accommodating. Several mattresses need replacing. Would definitely stay there again! Thank you for having us!
Great location, little traffic, and a practically private beach. The kitchen was well stocked and the living and dining area were very roomy.
A few negatives would be the uncomfortable beds and dated rugs in the hall and bedrooms that appear dingy. An ant situation was taken care of in a matter of hours.
This was our first time staying in alabama. The house was away from town and the noise. It allowed us to have our dog with us and was close to the water. Price was fairly affordable. I must say that the beds were hard as could be and i woke up the first couple days sore until i gotnused to it. And there hasn't anywhere we could go at house level when in was raining. The people i talked to when i had questions were fast and always nice. I'm not sure we'll be back but I'll definitely use reed real estate again if I do
We had a great time. The house had some updates like the deck, new siding and lots of kitchen extras. Variety of board games/puzzles was a plus for our kiddos. Only request would be to upgrade mattresses in the house. Our backs were a little sore by end of week 🙃 Downstairs pool supply closet was a nice surprise as well for kids to have boogie boards and toys.
This was a great location - easy access beach and the beaches were not crowded at all. Local restaurants were great. Only a short drive into Orange Beach when we wanted to.
Clean facility. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and plenty of towels.
The furniture in the living area was not very comfortable. There was plenty of seating but traveling with 6 adults it was not as welcoming of an environment for us to all sit together. Many of the porch/deck furniture pieces were broken so we were also limited in that space.
We also missed having a charcoal grill.

Pros and cons
I loved this house and it’s set up. However I didn’t like that we got there and there was a house directly in front of us. Seemed to be left out of the pictures, and seemed to look as if it was off to the side more.
Myself, my husband, teen daughters and dogs all enjoyed our stay at Honey Dunes. The location was great. Plenty of room for us. Great proximity to the beach. Very low traffic beach area (at least during our spring break) I had to call the office a couple times and everyone was very nice and responsive. We would absolutely stay there again. Also for anyone that thinks maybe they could stay here and do their work online, don't count on it. The wifi and cell service is terrible. Not judging it, it was kind of nice to disconnect from the world. I just know that sometimes my husband is able to save some vacation days by working online a couple days during our vacation and luckily he did not count on doing that this time. He wouldn't have been able to. Plenty of towels, plenty of kitchen items to be comfortable, if I had to pick one thing that was negative, it would be the uncomfortable mattresses. But overall I give it 5/5 stars!!

Several broken items
The house was great in size. Their were several things broken in the house. The shower in one of the bathrooms felt like you were pulling out the water spout when turning the shower on. A lamp inthe living room was broken. The back door handle gets stuck. Also the pic of the property needs updated on your website as it looks nothing like it. Just a few minor things that need fixed but we had a great time.
What a wonderful experience at Honey Dunes in Fort Morgan. This home did not disappoint. The layout is fabulous. The living and kitchen space are separate from the bath and bedrooms making it very accommodating for those with different schedules. The beach is a short walk just over the dune, and the view from the deck and even the kitchen/living area is spectacular. We saw dolphins swinging by multiple times daily. We will definitely stay here the next time we’re in Fort Morgan!
Every other year, my spouse and kids and I vacation to Gulf Shores with my parents and my brother and his partner. This was by far our favorite place we've stayed, and we'll 100% be back to this property! It was the perfect setup, with bedrooms on one half and living space on the other, so the kids could go to bed in their quiet bedrooms and we adults could still hang out for the night. It was the perfectly quickly little walk down to the water, which made it easy during the rainy back-and-forth days.

Maintenance need worked on better
Vacation was great, only thing I got upset about was the air conditioner stoped working 2nd day, it got up to 86 degrees in our house, I called Reed real estate and told them the next morning, someone came at 2 pm to work on it. It got 85 degrees already, he said a pipe for coolant had rusted through and had to fix it. He was very nice. After he fixed the outside, he came in to check filters, he pulled out 2 different filters that were so dirty and dusty. He said they hadn’t been changed for a few months. They were disgusting to see. I got very upset by this. I called the Reed real estate company again and complained about the filters.
Traveled to Honey Dunes with my husband & 3 teens and eevee our little chichi. When we arrived we had a couple issues with the bathroom shower& sink drain but the repair guy was super nice& fixed it no problem. The other bathroom had a loose facet in the shower so everyone just used the other bathroom. The only other thing was that the fridge leaks from the front. It did work just fine but the floor is also damaged from the leak previously. We aren't picky so it didn't bother us very much. The location couldn't be beat, it is quiet at night & we star watched every night. The beach is spectacular, lots of wildlife & beautiful waters. Plenty of room, I do wish that there was a tv in the main bedroom. If your looking for peace, quiet & exploring, this is the place for you. Despite the small issues, i would go back in a heartbeat! Thanks for having us 💕
Must of the property was great! Plenty of room and a very very short walk to the water. We did have some refrigerator issues on arrival but was dealt with within minutes. The only issues that was an annoyance was the food processor didn't work. The blender stood in and did great! The issue that was just not good was the mold inside the dishwasher. We cleaned that ourselves. We would definitely use this property again!
