Pua Melia is a spacious 2600 Sq Ft 3 bedroom office space with queen bed, 3 full baths, fully furnished home in a quiet cul-de-sac located minutes from Kailua town. Take a walk just a few minutes down the street to find Magic Sands Beach and Kahalu'u Beach Park for a great snorkeling experience. Easy access to all the sights and activities that Kona has to offer.

Enjoy ocean views as you watch the sunset from the lanai or while you cook in our fully equipped kitchen. A BBQ is available for your use.

Our private pool is the perfect place to cool off after a day of exploring or great just for a day of lounging at home. The yard is a great space for outdoor games or suntanning and very private..

This is a No Pets, No Smoking Property. 5 Night Minimum, 10 Nights during Ironman and Christmas.

Perfect house, perfect location

We loved our time on the lanai, enjoying meals, watching the sunsets, and greeting the mornings. The house is the perfect location to enjoy the Big Island, embrace outdoor living, and feel like you’re right at home.

Amazing vacation property

Perfect for our stay!

We absolutely loved this house. It was perfect for our family, which included my husband and I and 4 adult children. The kitchen had everything we needed, except a scale for weighing out our coffee beans! We appreciated the misc. spices (except no garlic) and the plastic wrap so we didn't have to buy those items. There were plenty of leftover containers, too. The lanai and pool area were our favorite spots.........I don't think we ever ate inside! The pool area and yard are so nicely done and well-maintained. We enjoyed the pool after a busy day out and about. Other pluses include the clothes line, faucet to rinse off after visiting the beach (short, easy walk away),the first aid kit and misc. sun products that I'm guessing previous guests have left, and the washer and dryer. Our only suggestions would be a few more hooks in the bathrooms and a bottle of some kind of cleaning product for wiping down the kitchen counters. We would definitely recommend this property for a stay in the Kona area.

Beautiful House!

We had a great time and communication with Julie was great. The house is big and comfortable, plenty of room for all of us, both inside and out. The upstairs kitchen and lanai was great any time of day, plenty of breeze, birds chirping, and a beautiful view of palms, papayas, banana trees, and others. Even though it was in a cul-de-sac with neighbors all around, it was quiet and felt very private, from upstairs, downstairs porch, the pool deck, and the lawn. The amenities were also very nice. Plenty of rooms and chairs to spread out or hang out together. We made use of just about everything provided in the closet under the stairs - beach chairs, cooler, cornhole boards, ponchos (for the volcano tour and a coffee farm - evidently it rains there a lot). The pool is big and it was great to have that when we weren't at the beach, or just wanted to relax at the house. Plenty of chairs and umbrellas to hang around at the pool any time of day. There are plenty of beach towels/mats, which cuts down on luggage. The 'leave-behinds' were a great addition, and it's nice to be able to leave things behind for the next guest so it doesn't get thrown away. Some refrigerator items, lots of spices for cooking, plenty of things in the pantry, laundry soap, bug spray, sunscreen, etc. We made use of some things we forgot to bring, and left some things we had to buy but did not want to take home. The kitchen is large and well-equipped; we cooked many meals and had everything we needed.

Lovely Stay

We had stayed here with my Wife's family as well as mine (total of 8 people). The 4 bedrooms was accommodating along with the 3 full bathrooms. The master bedroom is quite spacious where the 2nd bedroom with a king bed is quite a bit smaller (hard to tell from photos). The stay was nice and an easy walk to Magic Sands Beach if you are lucky enough to be there when there is sand.

Family trip

Great spacious house, very well equipped. The pool and outdoor spaces were perfect. Short walk to the beach and easy drive into Kailua. Would definitely recommend this place.

Great House

I am so glad I found this house. We had two families of parents and teenagers. Everyone was able to have their own space when desired. The house is as advertised. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies and we cooked many meals during out time there. The communication with the host was top notch, thank you. We didn't have any problems but I know they would have been addressed immediately. The host went out of her way to ensure we had what we need. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Kona visit for Wedding preparations and celebration at Old Kona Airport

We absolutely loved staying here. It was just what we needed to prep and prepare for my daughters wedding. It was also a nice retreat for relaxing in between running around and prepping flowers for the two events, ceremony and reception. Loved the fully stocked kitchen so we could save money by preparing meals. The pool was so relaxing and we enjoyed a dip in the pool even after the son went down as the pool lit up nicely at night. All the fans throughout the home made it confortable to enjoy the trade winds when we opened the windows. Thanks for helping us to create wonderful memories with our family. Definitely would love to stay again.

Wonderful Kona Home

We stayed in this home for a family trip, 7 adults and a 4 month old baby. Wonderful set up with a great pool. Enough beach chairs and umbrellas for us to take to the beach. No air conditioning but plenty of fans. The pool was a highlight of the trip.! Great, well set up kitchen. Nice outdoor living on both floors. We spent a considerable amount of time on the lanai off the kitchen. The neighborhood is wonderful and quiet. We will definitely stay again!

Perfect Vacation Home

Spacious home with wonderful pool and all the amenities, close proximity to the beach. Loved waking up to the sounds of the birds in the morning and going to sleep with the sounds of the frogs. Highly recommend this home, would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Perfect

I don’t think we could have found a better place to stay in Kailua-Kona! The multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, the pool, the laundry, everything fit our family exactly. There are multiple opportunities for outdoor living, it’s close to everything, and was the perfect base of operations. After a day of exploring, the whole family loved relaxing by the pool as the sun went down. The owners were so kind and super helpful and they and their property made this a trip to remember.

Great family trip!

We had a great experience start to finish. The details and pictures were very accurate with this listing. All the tropical trees and plants,, with a bit of ocean view since it is about a block up from the water.We loved having our own pool and walked the short walk to the beach daily. Most of our activities were all within 30 mins of the house so it was a perfect location.

Amazing property

This house is a 10 out of 10. We took our 3 adult kids & their significant others to celebrate our daughter's 30th birthday. This house is better than the pictures. We loved it! Having the pool was a great way to cool off before bed. Our only con would be the lack of AC. I've stayed in houses in Hawaii during the summer without AC & I will say they were never this warm at night. On our first night it was 80° in the master bedroom with 2 fans blowing. We had opened up the whole house but it never seemed to cool down. At home we sleep with our AC at 68° so we are accustomed to a much cooler sleeping temperature. Other than that our stay was so good. Perfect location & the house is large enough that we all had space. It is beautifully decorated & very cozy. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We all enjoyed it so much!

Private Pool is Great!!

This home is great for a large family. There is plenty of room to spread out. The pool is the best part! We enjoyed using it every day!! Although there is no AC, many fans were provided. The house does get hot during the day so we used them a lot. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood with easy short drives to shopping, food, etc.

Excellent stay, beautiful home and the location is fantastic.

This was one of the nicest and well kept homes we’ve stayed in. We cooked at the house a lot and everything you need for cooking was there including a very nice Weber gas grill. The house is very clean and spacious. We had 6 people in the house and felt like we had plenty of room. The pool was amazing and we spent a lot of time in it as well. Outdoor seating and spaces were nice for enjoying sunsets in the evening or relaxing during the day. The location of the home is central to everything and that was a bonus. We didn’t catch that the home didn’t have air conditioning until a couple days before the trip while reading back through some reviews, but honestly it wasn’t a big deal. The fans on and windows open during the evening made it very comfortable for sleeping. We were generally out at the beach or checking out the town during the hotter part of the day anyway. The lack of A/C didn’t affect our stay, but if the homeowner ever added it, we believe they could easily charge a higher price and it would be warranted given how great the home is already. I recommend this home, it’s a large, clean house that’s centrally located and has all the amenities you need for a relaxing vacation.

This property is awesome! The pool is magnificent! Three generations celebrated here and we could not have done it better! Convenient to all that Kona has to offer and only 2 hours from Volcano National Park. We saw the erupting volcano!!!

This home is a gem

Pua Melia (Plumeria) is a beautiful home with many different places to hang out, indoors and out. Morning coffee on the outdoor couch by the pool was a delight—enjoying the bird songs and the cool of the morning. Then dining on the second-floor lanai with the family (6 people total): the views are gorgeous of the ocean and the tops of enormous fan palms. The kitchen was efficient and well equipped, lacking only a little citrus juicer which we bought and left. We especially loved the ice maker and water dispenser on the fridge, something we do not have at home. But the best feature is the delicious pool. Yes, the ocean is great, but having a pool at the house was perfect, especially for the teenager. We were a group from age 13 to 78, and this home served us well: the older folks definitely enjoyed the place while the younger ones did the volcano tour! Magic Sands beach is close, but the waves can be very scary. Just be careful!

The best Family time!

It has been our dream to have a house in Hawaii for many years. I grew up on the island of Maui. When I was 19 I left my family to visit a friend in Canada and I met then married my husband. We decided it would be best to raise our family in Canada but my heart always remained in Maui.
After many years of looking we finally found and purchased our land. We spent the next year building our dream. Eventually we would love to spend our winters in Hawaii and our summers back in Canada.
In the meantime we love that others can enjoy our home.
It is a comfortable, private home close to the town of Kailua.
We hope each and every person enjoys staying in our home as much as we do.
