Enjoy a private home on a quite cul-de-sac on the open bay. Watch sunsets over looking the St. Pete ski line. Tampa Bay is known for excellent fishing year round. You will be right around the corner from Little Harbor resort where you will find all the resort amenities: jet-ski/boat rentals, restaurants/bars etc.

You will have plenty of room to relax with two family rooms with T.V.. Everything has been newly redecorated. In home washer and dryer, free internet and cable. Home sleeps 6 , plus room for baby beds. Master has king bed. Second bedroom has queen bed. There is third bedroom with twin beds.

Captain Matt Santiago Fishing Charters is Tampa Bays premier fishing guide service and is available for charters directly from your private dock.

You are 30 minutes from downtown Tampa, the Florida Aquarium and Historical Ybor City. Bush Gardens is 45 min. away and Disney an hour.
Gulf beaches are 40 minutes away including St. Pete and Bradenton.

Family visit

Went to Ruskin to visit family. Owner messaged prior to our arrival to answer any questions that I might have and to make sure that we checked in with with no difficulties. Upon arrival found the house to be immaculate and in a perfect location. Had the Tampa Bay right in the backyard and very convenient to restaurants and grocery shopping. House was furnished with everything possibly needed. Our message several times during the day to assure that everything was going well and to answer any questions that we might have. Would highly recommend staying here and plan on going back next year.

We had a great time, house was nice and clean.

Owner was very nice and helpful, fishing off the dock was fun. We also had our boat, it’s just a short ride to the skyway bridge. Great time fishing the bay.

By far my best vacation ever.

Enjoyed everyminute of my stay. Catching that 38" snook off the dock was awesome. I was definitely glad I got to stay that extra day. The whole family did not want to leave. Thank you for a great vacation.

Great home for family vacations!!

This was an excellent property to host our 4th of July Family Vacation. This was my second booking, the house had been recently renovated giving enough kitchen and living space for 8 adults. Great local fishing and even caught a few mangrove snapper from the dock. We will definitely be back. Thanks again Karen!

Best Vacation Ever!

When we opened the front door of this house, the view of Tampa Bay was breathtaking. We totally loved the house. Captain Matt Santiago lives next door so my family was able to take advantage of his salt water fishing guide expertise and caught red fish, snapper, trout, and snook, although we could not keep the snook. They were out of season. So Many Fish! Most beautiful sunsets were seen and photographed. Karen, you have a beautiful home. We saw dolphins, stingrays and could reach out and touch the manatees even a calf with its mother. We will definitely be back to your beautiful oasis. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous home with us.

Great little Ruskin escape! Adorable house with great floorplan!

This cute house was perfect for our family. We loved the beautifully updated kitchen and the cheery beach decor. Such a perfect floorpan with the two living areas and plenty of beds for the kids/grandkids. View stunning sunsets every evening right out the back door or from the dock. We enjoyed seeing dolphin and catching fish off our own dock. It was rainy season, so we also played cards and games (home is stocked with games and puzzles) and had lots of family dinners. Ruskin has the small town feel which my family loves, away from the hustle and bustle of touristy locations. Be sure to try the German restaurant in Sun City! Karen was quick to respond to messages and check-in and check-out was simple. We loved the place and would come back in a heartbeat! Why get a hotel when you can enjoy a house like this :)

Our new home away home!

Thank you, Karen and John, for the wonderful accommodations. From the beginning till the end it was perfect in every way! The booking process was simple. Karen reached out immediately and was quick to respond with questions about what was available, etc. We travel to the St. Pete area often and have always stayed on the beach. Not anymore!! this vacation was by far, our favorite! This rental is located in a small town on the bay, removed from the hustle bustle of tourists, but close enough to be anywhere in no time. It appears small when you first pull up, but just wait...you'll be pleasantly surprised! Nice landscaping and cute little Florida lizards greeted us at the front door. (There's enough space in driveway for two cars) When we opened the door the view was spectacular! An open floor plan with a living room, family room, beautifully remodeled kitchen, dining area, and a wall of sliding glass doors over looking the bay with St. Pete's skyline in the distance. The home has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and a laundry room. My husband and I traveled with 6 teenage boys, all whom slept comfortably each night. There is a spacious back yard, back patio with table/chairs/loungers, grill, and a private dock which was perfect for entertaining our "Florida family". The boys played off this dock with the two kayaks provided. I enjoyed sipping coffee in the morning while watching dolphins play. We ALL caught fish... I even caught a snook!! How Fun!! A few times we traveled to the beach and John's Pass. It was a short drive across the Sunshine Skyway. All in all, this is the place to go if you'd like to enjoy all of Florida, rest, relax, and feel like a true guest! Til next time...be blessed! -The Hansmans

Relaxation and Sunsets

We stayed for the first week of April and are now home wishing you were back there! Every night we would take a moment to watch the sun going down. So beautiful. Our boys loved playing and fishing in the back yard. My husband was most happy just staring out at the ocean while cooking dinner on the grill. The house was very clean and well stocked. Karen was wonderful to work with and I highly recommend a visit. The area is out of the city rush and in it's own little world. Also recommend a trip to The Fish House down the road! Thank you Karen for a much needed place to relax! We hope to visit again soon!!!

Vacation with Tampa Bay in Back Yard

We stayed from 2-4-17 to 3-4-17 and had perfect weather during our stay with only one day of rain. When we opened the front door we were thrilled with the view of Tampa Bay. We were able to fish off the dock and the view was magnificent (much better then the photo's show). We also saw porpoise and manatees right off the dock. The house is great! It is like having a living room on each side of the kitchen. There is a beach close by at Little Harbor Resort with a nice restaurant with music and about 20 minutes away is Apollo Beach where you can fish and swim .We also fished off the Skyway Bridge, which is about a 30 minute drive.. Another great place to visit is "John's Pass" which is a one hour drive. It is a great place to shop, eat or go deep sea fishing. But, if you want to relax and see beautiful sunsets right out your back door... this is the place for you! The Santiagos were wonderful to deal with and quick to respond to our needs. Great vacation!

Beautiful and very clean property! Amazing view!

Took family vacation....walked in and found very clean house with amazing view. House was right size for 4 adults and 2 teenagers with extra space if needed. View and dock was awesome to fish off of. Karen and her son Matt were very kind and awesome. Property location close to restaurants, stores and anything you needed. We look forward to going back next year for two weeks!! Great Quiet Shell Point Location BUT...

Our family 2 adults and 3 children vacationed in Florida for 2 weeks spending a week in Ruskin on Shell Point. The home was partially outdated and we had a few issues during our stay and messages were sent to the owner with no response. There is plastic covering on all the bunk beds which was super hot, noisy and very uncomfortable so my sons opted to sleep elsewhere. The shower in the bath off the kitchen was not usable as it had a leak that sprayed all over the bathroom when it was turned on. There are no life-vests to use with the kayaks and only one paddle and they were not in well kept condition. The linens were dingy and dirty when we were ready to climb into bed which was disappointing and I spent the next day washing all the bedding and towels. There wasn't any cleaning tools for the tile which is throughout a majority of the house and the "dirt devil" quick vac doesn't work and there is no vacuum to clean the carpet in the bedrooms. Also, the garage is sealed shut and locked so you have to park outside on the driveway. On the upside, the location was super quiet and we loved having the dock to fish from each evening but make sure you have bug spray as the midges and mosquitoes are brutal!! Fish was the highlight of our stay and we caught snook, red fish, blue crabs, jack crevalle and lots of catfish from the dock. There were 2 fishing poles for us to use and the Ruskin bait shop was 10 minutes away. The sunsets were amazing and the floor to ceiling windows facing the bay we great. There are 2 family areas which made it nice so the kids could watch a movie and the adults could be in a different comfortable space. The air conditioner worked well to keep things cool and there are fans in each bedroom. Although we had a few issues it was a great trip :)

WONDERFUL VACATION

This was such a relaxing, beautiful vacation. Fantastic view of the bay and a dock for fishing. The home was very clean and had everything we could need. Owners were very helpful and kind. The area is "old Florida" and we just loved it. Thank you for all you provided to make our stay so perfect.

Perfect for fishing

This was the perfect location for us, close to Shell Point Marina for bait. We spent the days fishing, the afternoons and evening sitting outside enjoying the view and fishing off of the dock. The home was beautiful with 2 entertainment areas and plenty of sleeping space. The sunset of the bay was breath-taking. I will definately rent again.

Wonderful!!! Can't say enough!

This property was perfect. We normally stay with family when we travel to Florida. This was wonderful to have our family come to us. Our 4 year old grandson had the best time fishing and playing in the water. Home was well equipped and very comfortable with all the conveniences of home. I could have spent the whole time looking at the view and enjoying all of the wildlife. The neighborhood was nice and people were friendly. The owners were great and we will definitely rent again!

Vacation 2015

This was a perfect location on the bay. We did not realize Ruskin was a far away from everything, but still a wonderful stay. Karen was very responsive and her son Matt was the best. We actually booked a charter with him and he is one of the best we have had. Overall, wonderful experience and wonderful stay.

A perfect place

For our first ever trip to Florida, we wanted it all: waterfront but without crowds, close to Tampa, and not too far from Venice, peace & quiet, yet affordable. This home delivers it all. It is beautiful and has a view that will mesmerize. Dolphins passing by, good fishing right from the dock (I even caught a Snapper). Our 2 boys (age 4 & 7) didn't want to come home, they liked our "new home" and wanted to stay. Nice appliances, very clean home, perfectly decorated, and a kind & friendly community. Wonderful for our family and we certainly hope to be back soon.

Our first stay but not our last I hope!

This home is very comfortable, there is a wall that all there is are glass doors what a view of the bay, sunsets and watching ships we are hoping we can rent again next year. Everyone had a great time!

Beautiful home on Tampa Bay

When we arrived at this house on January 17, 2015, and opened up the front door, we saw the most spectacular view across the room of the Tampa Bay! We had a wonderful 2 and 1/2 month stay! This house is well furnished and ideal for any age!! The sunsets are spectacular! It is a quiet neighborhood and the house is close to beaches, Busch Gardens, and is a wonderful place to just relax and look at the awesome view of the bay or to fish on the dock! We really enjoyed watching all of the ships crossing the bay and of course watching the dolphins!! We loved the winter here so much that we are returning in 2016 for the winter!!

Most warm hearted welcome

Arrive late at night, but was ok with owners even left a lamp on for our late arrival to the house that we can see as we park I the drive way, as we open the door, we were greeted by the sight of the ocean across the room what a wonderful sight! It is a memory burn in my mind forever! Have the most wonderful stay! We will definitely do it again and again, even we live just 5 miles away, lol

A very fine house right on the Bay

What you see is what you get! The pictures show the actual view from the kitchen / dining area. Imagine your evening barbecue with THAT view! The house itself is up to the view. Spotless, well appointed and large enough to accommodate a family or small group. Several supermarkets are on the way to or from the house, so supplies are not a problem. The very central location on Tampa Bay allowed us to explore the coast from Honeymoon to Naples without driving for hours, and without traffic. The Owners are very helpful and take great care of the house and their guests. For us, it was a great find and we strongly recommend it if you want to explore all of the Tampa Bay area. And talk about sunsets...

A get a way.

It was perfect for us, a short drive. The property is located directly on the bay. The view setting in the living room was the best. The dock enabled us to comfortably fish. We saw cruse ships from the living room along with cargo ships. Dolphins was seen playing, also while standing on the dock a dolphins came with touching distance, we could see his eyes. You could kayak. I'm going to bring mine next time.
