My wife and I stayed at the Pine Cove which is the remotest cottage on the property. We woke up to beautiful sunrises over Pemaquid Pond, which is really a good sized lake(might be a Maine humor thing). We enjoyed campfires at night and exploring during the day. Our flat coated retriever was in dog heaven because he could run around and explore the woods and pond. We loved the location for its natural beauty and serenity.

Lakehurst has been in operation as a family business on the coast of Maine since the early 1920’s. After a brief period as “Camp Pemaquid”, a boys’ summer camp, the original cottages were converted into all-seasonal rentals for those seeking a lakeside retreat. The property has been in the Pinkham family for over 4 generations. Today, Dan and Ann Pinkham, along with their sons Dan Jr., Jon, and Josh, own and operate Lakehurst Properties LLC.
