Clean, modern apartment in the center of Rome.
Alessandra's apartment was very clean and modern. We stayed here with two adults and two children and it provided enough room. The apartment was well layed out and we loved the small kitchen and dining table. We did not cook there, but we did bring stuff home for breakfast or snacks. Having a washer was very convenient since we had been traveling for awhile and it allowed us to do much needed laundry. Alessandra was very nice and gave us some great info on where to eat and where to get gelato which we ate everyday! We would stay here again for sure!

Great modern apartment with two air conditioners
Great location, fast Wifi, two air conditioners that worked great, which was a godsend in the heatwave. The location is perfect, close to many sights and shopping. The kitchen has everything you need for small meals. A washing machine, drying rack, iron and ironing board were available. The shower/bathroom is very nice. Alessandra, the owner was very helpful and attentive. We would absolutely rent this apartment again.

A nice place to stay when you visit Roma
We are a couple plus our 19 y.o. daugther. The apartament is what you see in the photos, clean and tidy. Small but it has enough room for 3 people or two couples. The sofabed is width enough for 2. The kitchen is also small but we managed to prepare breakfasts and light dinner. The flat is actually in the center of Rome which allowed us to dinner and then going out to walk around and eat an icecream near Piazza Navona or Campo di Fiore. The street is quite interesting because there are many nice shops and bars and is not a main street therefore it has no heavy traffic. The owner Alessandra is very kind and she offered us many useful information about the sorrounding area (shopping, museums, art galleries, etc.) that she has compiled in a extremely usefull folder she has in the flat. Also she solved by phone some small issues. Grazie mille Alessandra.

Petite bijou in a lovely part of the historic centre
Loved this apartment. It's very well laid out, very clean and very comfortable, and for me it's the best location in town. The bed was really comfy, kitchen was well stocked, and I loved that Alessandra left some basics like salt, balsamic and oil to use, and even some washing powder for the washing machine. It really annoys me when holiday rental apartments don't provide a few basics. I love the street too, it's not filled with tourists, just little artisanal shops and bars, so you really feel part of everyday life, and there's a good supermarket just around the corner. Everything is within walking distance - bring comfortable shoes. I highly recommend Bar Banchi Vecchi at the end of the street and SuppliZio for their delicious street food at reasonable prices. The only downside that I could think of was that the street noise was a little loud on a Friday and Saturday night, but not on other nights. I noticed Alessandra has another similar apartment just across the hall which would be great if you are two couples or larger family travelling together. All in all we loved it and would stay there again.

Roman Delight!
If you're looking for the perfect Roman Holiday, look no further! We spent two weeks in this lovely apartment, which was stylishly appointed with elegant simplicity yet very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with state of the art appliances and the bathroom was modern as well. The apartment is situated on a quiet street between Piazza Navona and Campo dei Fiori, an ideal location with easy access to caffes, restaurants, and grocery stores. The owner, Alessandra, was a perfect host. She super-served all our needs; whenever we had a question or request, she responded immediately. We plan to return the same time next year knowing that Alessandra will be there to greet us with a bouquet of flowers and a warm and gracious welcome. A 5 Star experience...

Wonderful apartment in a great location
My husband and I were fortunate enough to spend two glorious weeks in this Rome apartment in October. The apartment itself is newly remodeled and immaculate. We had every convenience and the apartment owner could not have been more helpful. The location is quiet but fantastic for walking to most the major attractions. Exploring the immediate neighborhood was a delight, with quiet winding streets leading to the Campo de Fiori, Piazza Navona, and the banks of the Tiber. The area abounds with great restaurants and the owner's suggestions were helpful in winnowing down the choices to the very best in terms of food and service. (she should write a guidebook!) Nearly every evening after dinner we strolled to the Ponte Sant'Angelo (only a couple of short blocks) to admire the Bernini statues and the reflections on the Tiber. We would be delighted to return and highly recommend it to you.

central location for walking everywhere
Clean, spare, modern apartment, a good contrast to come back to after walking the busy streets of Rome. Fairly quiet street with plenty of amenities nearby, including good grocery stores, outdoor market, coffee, and restaurants. Central bus line is one block away, but we only used it to go to and from the train station, preferring to walk to all sights including the Vatican, Piazza Navona, and the Forum. The owner is very accommodating and professional. The only improvement needed is the wifi- it did not always work throughout the apartment, but that was only a minor inconvenience. I would very much recommend this apartment!

perfect location
My husband and I spent a week in this apartment in early September. It is ideally located for walking to any Rome neighborhood, and it's own area is quite lovely - one street in from Via Giulia and the river, an easy, beautiful walk to both Navona and Campo Fiore. The apartment itself is quiet, modern and efficient within a great old building. The owner was very attentive and responsive - a pleasure to deal with. We would happily return!

Great place and great location
Alessandra was a great host and very prompt to reply to inquiries! She was also kind enough to provide some great recommendations and offer up help for transportation while my boyfriend and I were in the city. The apartment is very clean and modern and has all the amenities to cook a meal in. The location of this apartment is on the second floor and it is an old build so there are steps (we didn't mind). The room and the building were also very secure, we always felt safe both in and around the apartment. The streets of Rome are noisy, just expect to hear voices and regular street noise. The bus stop was less than 3 mins. away everything is within walking distance. I highly recommend this apartment and if I return to Rome I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Excellent location
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay near Piazza Navona. The apartment was within walking distance of most of the historic sites and there were several good restaurants and shops nearby. Although we were in the heart of Rome the street was very quiet. The apartment was comfortable and had all of the conveniences that we needed. Alessandra was really welcoming and helpful. We would definitely plan to stay here again if we return to Rome.

Loved our stay
My daughter and I loved our 3 night stay at the Hideaway near Navona. Alessandra was prompt and attentive in communication and very helpful - arranging for our taxi when we had to leave for the airport. The apartment was modern, spotlessly clean and well-designed. I loved how the kitchen facilities closed into the cupboards and kept the main room open. We had everything we needed - the apartment is fully equipped. Alessandra had a binder of information available with recommendations on local restaurants, markets, etc. The location was awesome - close to so many major sights - and a great area to walk and explore. On our walk to the Vatican, we discovered Likeat and had awesome sandwiches there. The listing description and pictures are absolutely accurate. I would certainly recommend staying here and would love to come back!

GREAT LOCATION!!!
My husband and I had a very pleasant stay in this apartment. - Convenient location with transport steps away - Restaurants and grocery close by - Walking distance to Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona - Super clean apartment and modern decor - Fully stocked kitchen Alessandra was so pleasant to deal with. She responded to all our inquiries promptly. We were going to take the cab from the Roma Termini to the apartment but decided to take Bus 64 so it took longer for us to get to the apartment. Alessandra waited for us. When we got to the apartment, she showed us around and she even had a Rome Handbook she made herself and it tells you how to get around Rome and restaurant suggestions. I will definitely stay here again and would recommend anyone to stay here as well. Thanks Alessandra for your hospitality =)

An amazing stay
The stay was really amazing. The appartment was very clean, modern and practical with its little kitchen. Especially the bathroom is made with lots of love. Besides, the owner of the appartment (Alessandra) is a very very helpful, uncomplicated and kindly person. The location of the appartment is recommendable for visiting all importend sights of Rom. So, if you do not feel like walking, the bus station is immediatly arround the corner- profitable! We will be back !!!! Thanks a lot to Alessandra and Rom.

Great apartment!
We stayed at this lovely apartment for 3 weeks last winter. We loved it! Brand new, immaculate and very tastefully renovated. Despite the weather was cold and damp (it rained all the time) the apartment was cozy and warm, thanks to a heating system we could regulate ourselves (uncommon in Rome). The wifi worked all the time. The location was perfect. We look forward going back!

This Apartment is Nothing short of Perfect
This apartment has it ALL! Fantastic location... Quick walk to cafes, restaurants, shopping and historical sites. Wonderfully kind and communicative owner. Alessandra cannot do enough. She is extremely gracious and helpful, recommending restaurants and making sure you will be as comfortable as possible. Reservation process was simple and emailing with Alessandra was pleasant and efficient.. Accomodations were perfect for our party of 3, allowing us peace and quiet after a full day of sightseeing. Everything was in order and we especially loved the fact that the unit was spotless. We will definately be returning to Rome again soon and no need to research accomodations as we usually do for each trip. we have found 'our spot' and need to look no further!

The perfect apartment, great location and excellent service. Highly recommended!
I visited Rome and Alessandra's lovely apartment for 10 days in December and January, and I am very pleased I made the decision of staying here. Via dei Banchi Vecchi is a wonderful little street, and it really feels like genuine Rome. Very centrally located, and you are in walking distance to everything. I used to live in this street when I studied here 4 years ago, and fell in love with the area. You will find a lot of little craft shops and art galleries, and it's not crowded with tourists. There are supermarkets, restaurants, bars, cafés and boutiques just a few steps away, and it only takes you a couple of minutes to walk to the famous Campo dei Fiori and Piazza Navona, as well as the beautiful Tiber River where Castel sant'Angelo is. It's also really close to the Trastevere neighbourhood, which is as Roman as you get it. I recommend a glass of wine at the enoteca Il Goccetto, a wine bar only 50 m down the street from the apartment. A great and genuine place, with a good selection of wines and a lot of locals. Also, the restaurant Pierluigi 400 m away, is an amazing restaurant with a great selection of seafood. Alessandra's apartment was the perfect apartment for me, and made my stay in Rome very pleasant. It is beautiful, brand new and spotless and tastefully furnished. It's modern, yet feels like home, and it provides you with everything you need - hairdryer, flat-iron, heating, AC, fast wi-fi, TV, kitchen supplies etc. Alessandra was the perfect host, and assisted in every way to make me feel welcome and at home. Nothing seemed to be a problem for her. I even got an extra pair of towels and sheets. A very professional level of care and service. The apartment was great value for money and highly recommended! I am already planning my return to Rome, and I will definitely stay in this lovely apartment for my next stay. Thank you so much for being able to stay in your beautiful apartment and for all your help!

Best Value, highest quality Roman getaway!
Alessandra was the best owner/ manager we could have asked for and made us feel right at home. The quality of the apartment, location near The Vatican, Piazza Navonna, Campo di Fiori and transportation routes made it easy to visit all our favorite sites. We generally stay in 3-5 star hotels but this great experience has convinced us that VRBO is more versatile and cost effective. Multo Beni, we will be back!

About the host

Host profile image
I grew up here and there in Europe and am trilingual. As an adult I continued traveling for both work and pleasure. I have stayed in all sorts of places, from 5 stars hotels in Asia to village huts with no electricity in Africa. Traveling is my passion, and because I was lucky enough to travel quite a bit I know how important it is to be comfortable, to feel safe, to find a cozy shelter from the hustle and bustle of city life!

Why they chose this property

My family and I lived in this area for generations and I have followed its slow transformation. The apartment is located is what is called 'Rione Parione', right in the historic centre of Rome. It is my favorite area of the city because in spite it being in the heart of the 'action', walking distance from most of the main tourists sites, such as Castel Sant'Angelo, Piazza Navona, Campo de' Fiori or the Vatican, the street is quiet and has maintained its original character. There are still many artisans' workshops and although there are many (and undoubtedly welcome) changes, such as trendy boutiques and fashionable restaurants, the winebar down the road hasn't changed for the last thirty years and although it is now a sort of local institution it still is understatedly cool.

What makes this property unique

I believe that what makes this property special is mainly its location. It is a very special area, where people know each other and have a sense of community. Here you can really 'do as the Romans do', as they say, and it is not easy to find this sort of situation in a city that mainly lives on tourism! As for the interior, I have tried to make it elegant, sober, comfortable and functional. I have just finished refurbishing it so everything is brand new!
