I visited Rome and Alessandra's lovely apartment for 10 days in December and January, and I am very pleased I made the decision of staying here. Via dei Banchi Vecchi is a wonderful little street, and it really feels like genuine Rome. Very centrally located, and you are in walking distance to everything. I used to live in this street when I studied here 4 years ago, and fell in love with the area. You will find a lot of little craft shops and art galleries, and it's not crowded with tourists. There are supermarkets, restaurants, bars, cafés and boutiques just a few steps away, and it only takes you a couple of minutes to walk to the famous Campo dei Fiori and Piazza Navona, as well as the beautiful Tiber River where Castel sant'Angelo is. It's also really close to the Trastevere neighbourhood, which is as Roman as you get it. I recommend a glass of wine at the enoteca Il Goccetto, a wine bar only 50 m down the street from the apartment. A great and genuine place, with a good selection of wines and a lot of locals. Also, the restaurant Pierluigi 400 m away, is an amazing restaurant with a great selection of seafood.
Alessandra's apartment was the perfect apartment for me, and made my stay in Rome very pleasant. It is beautiful, brand new and spotless and tastefully furnished. It's modern, yet feels like home, and it provides you with everything you need - hairdryer, flat-iron, heating, AC, fast wi-fi, TV, kitchen supplies etc.
Alessandra was the perfect host, and assisted in every way to make me feel welcome and at home. Nothing seemed to be a problem for her. I even got an extra pair of towels and sheets. A very professional level of care and service. The apartment was great value for money and highly recommended!
I am already planning my return to Rome, and I will definitely stay in this lovely apartment for my next stay. Thank you so much for being able to stay in your beautiful apartment and for all your help!
