About this property

This fully-furnished carriage house is situated in the heart of Savannah's Historic District, on the elegant and sought-after Jones Street. Located within walking distance of a variety of shops and dining options, such as Public and Six Pence Pub. Lovely Forsyth Park is also within walking distance, as are several event venues.

If you don't feel like walking, or need to go just little further to River Street, you can easily flag down a Pedicab for a quick and pleasant ride to your destination. Also available is the free Downtowner (its a local Uber paid for by the City)!

This carriage house has been a favorite lodging location of Joe Odom, a Savannah celebrity who played Paul Hipp in the film "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil." This quaint location has a lush, shared courtyard that is often visited and occupied by the the owner's two dogs, a basset hound named Leon and a poodle named Pheobe. They love company, but if you're in the mood for privacy, feel free to ask that they stay home.

This is truly one of the best locations in the city, and after staying here you will feel like a true Savannahian.

My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon at this carriage house and it was disappointing. Not only was there garbage left behind from the last residents but the amount of maintenance work going on during our stay was incredibly annoying. Waking up to people trimming the plants under the windows, the exit door being blocked by workers’ vehicles, and having the courtyard soaking wet from pressure washers was not the stay we had imagined.

The Epitome of Southern Class and Charm

Two bonuses…hidden peaceful courtyard , the epitome of southern charm, a short walk from historic places people visit from around the world. But so incredibly dog friendly. My dog Merlin was nervous from 20 hours of driving and motels but the dogs Pheobe and Leon became his friends and they played happily in the courtyard.

Parks, shops, museums, and restaurants are steps away in any direction. And you'll find practical conveniences like Kroger, CVS, and a gym all a short walk away. Clean and cozy, with high ceilings that make it live large. I stayed for almost two months, and couldn't be happier.

Wonderful!

I have stayed here a couple of times and just love it! The carriage house is comfortable, quiet, well appointed and very private and is located perfectly to make it easy to get all around the historic district. This pet friendly property is one of my favorites in Savannah!

Lovely carriage house in a prime location

Location is incredible and we felt right at home at the carriage house. It is small but comfortable and the perfect size for our 3 day trip. We loved the visits from the doggies. The bed was a Full size so too small for my husband and I to share. He slept on the sofa and I slept in the bed. An upgraded mattress would go a long way to add to a near perfect stay. There is a bed in the loft but it wasn't an option for our middle aged knees! We will definitely stay again when we return to this lovely city.

Great carriage house

This is our second stay at this property. First time we stayed in the first floor apartment and this time in the carriage house. The location is perfect (Jones street is a stunner). The carriage house everything we needed and it was wonderful because we brought our dog. I would highly recommend this stay! Thanks again

Charming and Great Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a charming and great location. Only 15/20 minutes from River Street and the market. Close enough to walk to but far enough away from all the noise. The shared courtyard is very relaxing and beautiful. The neighbors dogs (Pheobe and Leon) are well behaved and love attention, sometimes they came to visit us on the porch. The pull out couch and full size beds were comfortable but the twin size bed is in a loft type area, not for younger kids. The shower water was hot and had good water pressure, the AC unit kept us comfortable. Only complaint I have was the floor is very rough like a burlap mat and If you have problems with stairs, this may be a bit difficult for you. Access directions from alley, that are given right before you arrive, are easy to find and should be shared (minus codes) for any shuttle services. Smoke free, which i appreciated. I Would highly recommend and I hope to stay at again.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I’m a dog lover, but the smell of urine and feces were a bit much. 3 bags of feces stayed next to the courtyard door the entire time we were there.The carpet in the room reminded me of walking on wicker. The shower wasn’t the greatest. The written directions for the property weren’t exactly right.

Sweet Scape

Location, location, location, this property is perfectly located in the historic district, parking on the street was very easy and we were able to walk everywhere when we didn't feel like driving. Leon & Phoebe are very friendly and are ready to greet you when you arrive. Communicating with management was not difficult and they even gave us recommendations, instructions for access thru the garage were clear. The shared courtyard was beautiful, but a bit smelly.

Perfect retreat

Pretty as the pictures. But really poor sleeping conditions. Small bed attached to the wall. Also, main house has two big dogs with their door always open to sirvey/protect the backyard, our entry area. I would recommend the space only to small people without their own dog.

Wanted to Love this Place

The photos of the property are accurate - this condo is small but absolutely adorable. It's location couldn't be better - its on a safe, quiet, & gorgeous street. That being said, for all of the "if you do this, you will be fined" threat emails, we arrived to have dog-diarrhea all over the front porch. It was incredibly hard to walk in without stepping in it, we had to lift our dog so she didn't get it all over her feet. Even though the owner cleaned it up within an hour, it smelled like diarrhea for the rest of our stay - so we couldn't be outside on the rocking chair or courtyard. This location bills itself as dog friendly, but there are far more dog friendly locations in this very dog friendly city.

Loved our stay!

The carriage house was a dream to stay in. The space was adequate for 2 people and was comfortable. The courtyard was beautiful and it was a joy to wake up to every morning. It’s a perfect walking distance to everything! Would recommend to anyone visiting Savannah for the first time.

Great little carriage house!

Perfect location between Forsyth Park and River Street, walk or bike to all the squares and restaurants in the historic district. We have been to Savannah several times before and loved this property based upon location and comfort of the property We will look to stay here again!

Little slice of heaven

What a beautiful place

I went with a girlfriend for a long weekend in my favorite town of Savannah. The guest cottage is on one of the most beautiful streets in all of town. The property has a glorious little courtyard with a lovely little fountain with coy swimming around. The location was within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. I was in need of an “old fashioned coffee pot” and they went out to get me one right away! There are two sweet doggies that great you as you come and go, so it made the visit feel like home. The owner is so kind, she even gave us a ride to one of her favorite breakfast spots! My friend kept saying “I never want to leave” It is a small unit perfect for two. if I could make one recommendation is a hand towel for the kitchen but next time I will bring one with me. I can’t say enough about the joy and beauty we experienced at this wonderful little hideaway. Thank you Cora, we love your little slice of heaven. 🐝🍃

Quintessential Savannah 5 stars all day!

We absolutely loved this property! The garden is perfectly cultivated with plants and flowers and seating areas. Looks like Better Homes & Gardens cover photos I swear! I got to throw their dog a ball too :0 ) the Carriage house was perfect for three adults and had everything we needed. Close enough to everything to walk but not so close that you’re disturbed by partiers. It was a lovely experience and I would do it again!

The kitchen could use an additional cutting board and a couple of pot lids (a minor quibble).
