IF YOU DON'T SEE THE DATES YOU WANT, CONSIDER OUR OTHER LISTING! #685155. It is on the same property, and is virtually identical!
=============================================================
This immaculate home has an open floor plan, lots of light and hardwood floors. The house is clean, modern, and comfortable.
The master has its own bathroom, a queen bed and large windows that look out into the woods and gardens on one side, and the vast mountains on the other side.
The upstairs has two bedrooms. One has a queen and a daybed that opens to make two twins. The other bedroom has a queen and a double futon. The upstairs has a full bath with a tub/shower that is shared between the two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have mountain views!
The living room is open to the kitchen and dining area and has a sectional couch and comfortable chairs, and like the other rooms, you can look out over the layers of mountains.
The kitchen is modern and has all the basics you should need to cook and enjoy meals while staying here.
The dining area has a long table (center leaf can be removed if you want it smaller) and seats 8 comfortably but is capable of seating 10. We provide folding chairs to add to the seating capacity.
The covered porch is quite literally another room! It runs the length of the house and is 10 feet deep. There are rockers and a table that seats 6 comfortably and 8 if you squeeze.
Outside we have a patio area with a fire bowl with boulders and chairs for sitting around the fire. A short distance from the house is a picnic area that provides spectacular long range views. You will not want to miss this! We also have a loop trail that is about 1/3 mile long, plus some gravel roads for walking.

Convenient & Comfortable Chalet with Idyllic Views
We were so pleased with the rental! Views and accommodations were as depicted (in fact, the photos don't do justice to the scenery), and an extremely convenient location. The property manager/owner was easy to contact and very responsive. Couldn't have asked for a better stay - really contributed to a great visit to Asheville and the surrounding area.

Great time in Asheville!
This property is exactly as promised in the listing, and the mountain views and sunrises are spectacular! The house has everything you could need and the hosts were fantastic and helpful communicators. It's centrally located and convenient to attractions like the Biltmore, downtown Asheville, Chimney Rock and Hendersonville. We would not hesitate to lease this property again.

Perfect in everything
The stay was perfect. The cabin was exactly as advertised. Highlight for the cleaning and kitchen utensils that are available. All bed and bath linen were extremely clean. In addition to all this, the service provided by Steven was perfect from the moment of booking. I absolutely recommend the accommodation.

Perfect vacation spot
Stayed a week so we could explore the Asheville area. House is in a perfect location for easy access to downtown and BRP while still having the mountain views. House is exactly like the photos which is so nice. House had everything we needed for our week and was exceptionally clean on arrival. Highly recommend to serve as base camp for exploring or to even just sit on the porch in the rockers and enjoy the serenity and the view.

Always Wonderful
This our second time staying at Steve and Louise’s property. It’s been magical both times. Plenty of space, thoughtful amenities, gorgeous views, and much needed sounds of nature and quiet. All this, yet still so convenient to grocery stores, sightseeing, and downtown. A perfect gem in Asheville. We can’t wait for our next visit!

Very best in Asheville!
We go to the mountains every summer for a week. This is the first time we’ve stayed in Asheville and I’m so glad we did. This home had gorgeous views and the best part was the surrounding property. They had a mostly flat back yard and that’s so rare in the mountain terrain. We were able to walk around their large property and see wild turkeys and rabbits and even bears (we were inside the car when we saw the bears!). The house was spacious and clean, with plenty of sleeping space for everyone — we had four adults and four kids and never felt cramped. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of linens and the kitchen was well-stocked with cooking utensils. It’s just minutes away from everything we needed. Great communication with the hosts, and we will absolutely stay here again when we’re in Asheville.

Amazing
Four women in Asheville for a week of yoga training. The house was immaculate and was perfect for our group. We all had our own bed and with three bathrooms (2 full 1 half) there was plenty of room for all of us. We were very close to lots of activities and restaurants, but far enough away to enjoy the quiet mountain setting. The house had everything we needed as far as linens, kitchen and even bath items. Owners were very responsive and friendly. Do not miss this one!!! You won’t be disappointed

Don’t hesitate! Book now! We loved every minute of our stay. Steve was helpful with local recommendations. Check in/out processes are seamless. Awoke the first morning to the most gorgeous sunrise off the front porch. Made a forever memory as three generations of family enjoyed this glorious view together! Property passes the white glove test—seriously so clean and neat. Beds are comfortable and plenty of games are provided to keep everyone entertained. The fireplace is another highlight. Steve had plenty of wood and kindling on hand for us to enjoy several roaring fires throughout the week. So much to love about this place! Can’t say enough! Thank you, Steve and Louise!

Georgia lovers
We love GA, but this NC secret is a gem. We had a most wonderful long weekend at this beautiful home. The host gave great advice for things to do in Asheville. The Nature Center was our favorite. Buxton Hall was 2nd. My husband was invited in the kitchen to help cook. 3rd was the $10 play all day arcade. Coming in a super strong 4th was Mac Daddy’s. Their sampler platter and salad in a jar was delicious. Finally we spent the afternoon at Bear’s Smokehouse playing cornhole while the DJ played tunes. To top off this fun filled weekend was the Mardi Gras parade 💚💜💛. The fire 🔥 pit and Guesstures was entertaining on Saturday night when we picked up burgers and pork chops and grilled. Came home with clean clothes just to be put back in the closet. If you are reading this, trust me and book it. You will not be disappointed. All of the stuff we did was icing on the cake. We could have stayed in the house and never left the views. We made sure we were home to watch the most amazing sunsets. Thanks Steve & Louise for sharing your property with us.

A real Asheville gem!
Thank you for sharing your home with us! From the breathtaking view while relaxing on the large balcony to the well stocked kitchen to the comfortable beds to the occasional wild life sighting, everything contributed to a truly fantastic 2-week stay. Our hosts were great communicators and the house was very clean and well-stocked. The house is located only about 15 minutes away from most of our daily excursions, including the center of town, but yet feels secluded and private. This rental is a total winner! We would happily rent this property again.

Unbeatable
My sister and two adult daughters stayed at Steve and Louise's beautiful house on a 3-day/4 night trip, and it was absolutely wonderful. The main living area is spacious, open, and great for cooking together, playing games, listening to music, and hanging out in the evenings. The a fabulous deck spans the front of the house with a mountain view through the trees, and comfy rocking chairs . Beautiful sunrises and star gazing at night. While there are other homes nearby, we couldn't see them through the canopy of trees, and we didn't hear or see anyone except the deer and wild turkeys; it was quiet and dark for great sleeping at night. The place is very well equipped: laundry, kitchen, fireplace, firepit, and grill, A/C. Beds were comfy, and the bedrooms were spacious and well appointed. Steve was available by text at all times, but we didn't need to contact him; the place was immaculate and well maintained, and the written instructions were easy to follow. Location is great, too. It took us about 15 minutes to drive into Asheville, where we did the "e-bike tour in the mountains" with Asheville Adventure Company (it's also a fabulous tour of the city, including downtown architecture, neighborhoods, Grove Park resort, and bike trails); explored the River Arts District and Grove Arcade; had a great meal at Bodega topped off by amazing dessert at Sunshine Sammies. The house is also an easy drive to Black Mountain, which is a great little town--in that area, we hiked the Lookout Trail, went on a foraging trip with No Taste Like Home, and visited Lookout Brewing Co., where we got to talking with some local regulars. On our last evening, we went on a sunset yoga hike with Asheville Wellness Co.--a pretty one-mile hike up to a clearing, where we did a yoga class surrounded by grazing cattle. We also did tarot readings and massages with Asheville Wellness--great! We loved Asheville and the local businesses we worked with--and we barely scratched the surface of all that is available to do. Steve and Louise's place was the perfect location for our trip, and when we go back we will definitely stay there again!

Great house and great location in Asheville - would stay again!
This house was perfect. The description of size and layout was completely accurate. It had all the amenities you would need and the location was perfect. It was immaculately clean, which is always a priority for us. The location was close to a grocery store, close enough for a quick/easy drive into downtown Asheville but provided quiet and serenity and benefits of being outside of the city. The view from the front porch was amazing. We spent any/all time at the house on the porch enjoying the view of the trees and mountains. We even had bears roam the yard right in front of us - twice. Perfect combination of being in nature but also being in close proximity to stores and downtown Asheville. Also of note, it is immediately next to the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, so getting to hikes and other desirable locations was fast and easy. I would definitely recommend this house to friends and family. We hope to be back in the Fall to see the changing leaves. It was perfect.

Fabulous getaway close to downtown Asheville
Steve and Louise are excellent hosts of a beautiful home! For us, as 2 couples, the house was a perfect size (able to do things together and apart). It was so convenient to downtown Asheville with restaurants and activities easy to reach. The porch was the best part. From sunrise to sunset and in the dark, it offered a peaceful place to chill out. Already planning a return trip!

Spacious bedrooms and a well appointed kitchen make it a perfect spot for a family getaway. Very easy access to everything we wanted to see and do while in Asheville as well.

We bought this 40-acre farm in 2010 and finished building the vacation rental September 2013. We are so excited because having a farm with a vacation rental has long been a dream of ours! We have a small herd or goats and plenty of chickens at our home on the other side of the property.

Why they chose this property

I moved to the area almost 30 years ago to attend college at Warren Wilson College. I left for 5 years to attend graduate school in Seattle, and though Seattle was a wonderful place, we couldn't wait to get our family back to the area. We have now been back since 2002 and watched this amazing town burgeon into a fun and popular tourist destination. This property is one of the few of its kind: a large parcel of land within 1 mile of Asheville city limits and only 10 minutes to the center of downtown.

What makes this property unique

This property is unique because you have access to beautiful spaces indoors and out. You also have access to woods and meadows, trees and views. It just depends where you decide to spend your time while you are here.

This house is also unique because it is situated on a large property, yet it so close to downtown Asheville and Biltmore Village. There are very few properties that can boast this fact. Most larger tracts are much further away or on steep land. This land is rolling and great for exploring.

Also, our land virtually backs up onto the Blue Ridge Parkway land, just look at the map. The entrance to the Parkway is only about 2 miles away and is the entrance where the Folk Art Center is. This is a great place to visit while you are here.

There are hiking trails both on the Parkway and at Warren Wilson College, which is only a few short miles away. We also have a short trail here on the property.
