We absolutely loved this place! The views are amazing and the whole feel was incredible. We found ourselves not wanting to leave the cabin. The Host was very informative and helpful and we will be back!
The cabin was as described. It had a starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap and dishwasher soap, and towels. It had a lovely dining table which we enjoyed for meals and card games. The kitchen was well stocked with dinnerware and dinner prep tools. The bedrooms were large and had great storage in dressers and closet space. The outside deck had amazing mountain views as promised in the listing. Communication from the host was very good. The location was convenient to our travels to Asheville and the National Park. Downtown Waynesville had a surprising number of galleries, restaurants and interesting stores. I would stay at Misty View Cabin again.
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful log cabin! It was exactly as the pictures showed when we got there - perfect! Amazing views from the wrap around porch and so many changing colors since we were there in October! There were a ton of ladybugs - and it said this in the description or somewhere - but we expected them & they are ladybugs - they don't hurt anyone! They just bring luck! It was perfect weather the entire time we were there. We were able to buy a stack of wood from Wal-Mart and had a fire one night in the outside pit and we roasted marshmallows - so much fun! Every morning we used the fire pit on the front porch and watched the sun rise - relaxing and such a great experience. It was also near downtown Waynesville and we were able to check out all the little stores there which we just loved! Lots of restaurants around here too. Jorge was the perfect host - we didn't have any issues, so we didn't need to reach out to him, except to tell him we got there, and we left. Just the perfect vacation spot and we can't wait to go back again!
We enjoyed our visit to Misty View Cabin. The cabin had nice furnishings and really great views. The 3 bedrooms were good sized with lots of closet space. Jorge was a good host, quick to respond to questions.
Plenty of space, and views were amazing. Owner’s communication was the best! This town was actually better than Asheville by far for eating venues. Angelo’s was a favorite. The kids didn’t want to leave. I’m sorry Jorge I didn’t ask if the fridge water would be set up anytime soon? Check with owner, Jorge, before you go to see if it’s set up, otherwise you can just get water from the grocery which isn’t far at all or the tap if you prefer of course. One thing that was a pleasant surprise was at night looking at all the mountain homes across the way, they looked like extra stars. Also Blue Ridge Parkway can be closed for weeks at a time so be sure to look it’s access up close to your trip time if it’s important to your plans. We would love to come back again maybe in the Spring/Summer next time. Thank you for the experience!
I rented this property to go to my brothers annual July 4th cookout. The stay was amazing and the town of Waynesville is very fun to visit as well. If you like bbq there is a lot of great bbq restaraunts in town. The property is very clean and well kept. The beautiful views from the deck can’t be beat. If you love coffee in the morning, grab a cup and sit on the deck a experience why they call it Misty View. If you enjoy wildlife, you won’t be disappointed, we were able to get many pictures of wild turkeys, birds of all types, rabbits, etc. Our family will be back as soon as possible. Thanks Jorge for such a great place.
The cabin was exactly as described. It was very clean and had beautiful views. It was our first visit to Waynesville and the cabin provided the perfect accommodations for a long weekend. It was about a 10 minute drive to town and about a 35 minute drive to Asheville. I would highly recommend this cabin for your visit to Waynesville. Easy check-in and check-out and we had no issues. Thanks, Jorge!
Beautiful view, beautiful cabin, lots of space, everything we needed on hand, and an overall excellent experience. We will stay here again, but will remember to bring apples and carrots for the adorable little horses!
Misty View cabin is a cozy and charming spot. Well equipped and comfortable with all you need for a great stay. The views are beautiful and it is super quiet. Waynesville is the perfect jumping off place to explore the Smokeys and has a lot to offer.
Family of four, including 13 & 10 year old boys, had a great stay. The property description was right on, the house was stocked with just about everything you could need. House is partway up a mountain, but access was easy with the minivan since we had good weather. The highlight of the great house was the front porch with plenty of seating, a cute gas firepit, and an amazing view. House is also just a few minutes from delightful downtown Waynesville.
My family (3 couples and 1 infant) had a fantastic long weekend at Misty View. The rooms were comfortable and the cabin was well appointed - which helped us pull meals together easily. The view from the porch cannot be beat and we made sure to enjoy it every evening. We’re already planning to make this an annual trip!
We found everything to be acurate according to the listing online. We had plenty of space and all the necessities were provided. We loved feeding the little horses and visiting with Koda. The fire pit was amazing for our smores night and the back porch was great for our evening meals. The view from the front porch was amazing each morning and we so enjoyed the swing and the rockers. our 8 month old granddaughter really enjoyed the cuckoo clock. If we had any suggestions it would be to add more hooks in the bathrooms for hanging towels especially when 6 adults are staying. The driveway could use some cretelock to help hold the gravel in place when it rains. Other than these two items our stay was one we always remember. Hope to visit again soon!
Nice comfortable place, quiet and private. Was a slight glitch in the VRBO check-in process but the owner was prompt in getting us access to the lock box. We would stay again.
Great house, great view, great location. Hosts were easily contacted with questions and responded quickly. House was clean. Spent a lot of time on the swing.......gonna miss that view!
One of the things I like most is when the property description matches the property. Very true with Mistyview cabin. Everything accurate. As others have noted beautiful view, quiet place. I would also use the word spacious to describe this property. Enough room and different places to spread out and feel comfortable. The covered porch looking out is of course beautiful to look at mountains, but even when it rained it was lovely.
This was the cleanest grill I have ever seen at a VRBO…. Loved that!
Had a great time!

I am an Architect, currently living in South Florida. I have been coming to the Smoky Mountains for a long time and could not resist the temptation of having my own cabin in the mountains. I come to Misty View often and I use these opportunities to get intimately involved with nature while reading, meditating or practicing yoga with the incredible mountain views of the front deck. Sometimes admittedly; I work remotely while connecting to my desk computer back home via Internet. It never fails; at the end of each staying I feel an amazing feeling of happiness; it is scientifically proven that human beings in contact with nature for a few days increases the levels of dopamine; a motivational component of reward-motivated behavior naturally produced in our brains. Experience this yourself in Misty View Cabin and remember: You can also finds us on line.
Why they chose this property
Misty View Cabin offers stunning views of the mountains with a unique music background of creeks rolling downstream. It is a unique experience during any season. You can also finds us on line.
What makes this property unique
While at Misty View Cabin the "Cabin in the Mountains" life style can be experienced with all of the technology benefits yet, for a more urban life experience; a 10' drive to Waynesville Downtown would bring the shopping and fine dining environment. For a higher level of urban intensity a 30' drive would bring guests to Asheville. You can also finds us on line.
