This is an exceptional village home with refurbished wood floors and attention to detail throughout. Charming home

We stayed just briefly from 9:30 pm to 8:30 am, but we were great full to find a home in Ludlow that would rent to five friends who were traveling further North. There is no air conditioning.

Nice, plenty of beds, good ski room/house

Had a group of 9 with my adult children and some friends. The house has plenty of bed space. Location is nice - we walked 10 mins to coffee shop on Main St. 2 mile drive to Okemo base. The house is old but well maintained. The ski room was great - so much space and racks to organize gear. We even used the boot warmer. We cooked all of our breakfast and dinner meals there - the kitchen is well equipped and easy to use. The only knock was some of the mattresses are old and worn. My wife and I kept rolling to the middle of the bed in the room we stayed.

Great Stay

Perfect!

This property was perfect for our purpose. We celebrated our boy/girl twins’ 21st birthday with a ski trip to Okemo. Our children brought 4 friends along. The house had plenty of sleeping options and spaces to gather. The host supplied coffee and creamer (bless him!), TP, paper towels, dishwasher soap, a well appointed kitchen, etc. I would book this property again in a minute! Thank you! P.S. We left this morning and forgot to turn the heat back! So sorry!

Great location

We had a great weekend! The house was very comfortable , clean and had everything we needed. More than enough towels, blankets, kitchen plates/glasses/utensils. The mudroom/ski storage room is fantastic! We walked to restaurants, a few shops and the boys even walked back from golf! The owner was great to work with and extremely responsive. We would absolutely stay again!

Home base for a wedding

We stayed for one evening after a family wedding. While it was a quick trip, we were grateful to have a place where many of us could stay and visit together. The house was spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. If walls could talk they’d echo with the laughter we left behind! Thanks for a great stay!

Okemo ski house

Cozy, convenient and felt like home

Location was great, just 5 min drive to Okemo. The boot room was probably my favorite feature. We were there with 3 families and this made managing all of our equipment very convenient. House was very clean and felt homey. Communication with the owner was great. Kitchen was well equipped with lots of dishes, all the kitchen gadgets you could want and great pans for cooking. Beds were comfortable and house was very clean. Only complaint was that we ran out of hot water after multiple showers in a row and we couldn’t figure out the shuttle to the mountain. We had a fabulous time and made memories that will last forever! We will always have fond memories of our stay at Bartram House!

Enjoyed our stay and would return.

Our family stayed for a weekend to visit with relatives. Well stocked kitchen, plenty of linen, and a ton of space. We enjoyed our stay. Close to downtown and Mountain. Would make a great ski house for a multiple families.

Great Ski Stay with Family and Friends

Home was very clean and well stocked with necessary items. We loved the “ski stuff” room with warmers and plenty of space for ski equipment. Locatiom close to town and Okemo was great, and the owner was responsive and helpful with our questions. Plenty of room, good WiFi, and fun family games for use.

Christmas Vacation

This was a great property for our families vacation ski trip. Lots of bedrooms. Very clean. The kitchen/ bathroom were very well stocked. The mud room or ski room was fantastic. Lots of hooks baskets, Heaters for your boots and gloves and lots of seating. Close Distance to the mountain.

Amazing stay in Ludlow. Roomy house with an awesome mushroom with heat, boot warmers and plenty of room to get ready for your day skiing. The house was really well stocked, very clean and cozy. Stephen was super responsive. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful Ski House

Stayed here over New Years to ski at Okemo. The house is perfect for a skiing vacation. Short drive (1.5 miles) to Okemo. The shuttle bus isn’t running in the 20-21 season due to Covid, but the drive was so easy, we didn’t miss it. The house is very well equipped. Stocked with everything you need in the kitchen - pots, pans, utensils, dishes, glasses, cutting boards, spices etc. Plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo. Washer and dryer upstairs is really handy. The mud room is fantastic for ski gear - heated boot warmers and glove dryers. Plenty of hooks and baskets for helmets, googles, skis etc. Benches are perfect for putting on ski boots. The owners were very responsive. Easy parking, right next to the mud room. I highly recommend this house for a family ski vacation.

Great for a big Okemo group!

We had a great stay at Stephen's house. Check in was easy and communication was excellent when we had a question prior to arrival. The house was immaculate and well stocked with essentials. Excellent location, ski shuttle service at the door, very interesting place.

Charming old house with very interesting decor, but at the same time modern enough and very clean. I stayed with my daughter family ( altogether 3 adults and two kids) and it was too large for us. Originally I hoped that my son's family would join and it would be perfect, which did not materialize. The place was very well equipped, we liked the ski room in particular. Very good communication - you text and the response comes back immediately. Hopefully we'll be able to persuade my son to join us next year and we'll gladly come back.

Excellent & Charming village home, so convenient to Okemo

We spent a wonderful long weekend (with two families) at this home. It was awesome to be right on the shuttle line and so close to town (we only did this once b/c the home was so well stocked). Stephen was very helpful and everything went so smoothly. Ludlow homes are expensive to rent but I would defiitely say this was worth it! Owner provided many unexpected amenities like the shampoos, soaps, etc - had many benefits of a hotel with the convenience of a home. And the ski room - complete with racks, boot dryers / warmers - was awesome!!

Okemo ski trip

Check in and check out process was simple and easy. The owner made himself available if I had any issues but there wasn't really any issues. Really mad use if the ski/mud room (great bonus). My only concerns is the house is showing its age in that the foundation is settling and the main and second floor have high and low spots which could be a issues for those with balance problems. I did see cracks in the walls because of the settling.

Excellent for family ski weekend

Even before we arrived, the owner was informative and welcoming. The house was immaculate when we arrived and there were fresh flowers on the dining room table. There was plenty of room for the twelve of us and the grandchildren enjoyed the bunk room. The heated mud room was cozy for the skiers! There were personal touches like handwarmers and ski trail information. The ski shuttle for Okemo and Jackson Gore went right by, but both places were close enough to easily find and drive to. The kitchen was well appointed. Games were available in the living room. Towels were large enough and plentiful. Some of my family were concerned because we had never done this before in Ludlow, but they were soon won over. Thank you for a terrific stay and experience!

Long time Vermont skiers who picked Ludlow as our destination of choice due to the convenience and amenities for a family with different skiing interest levels. We live full time in Connecticut and have found that this home is an excellent get away from the daily routine.

Why they chose this property

We chose this property due to it's close proximity to Okemo, Killington and Stratton. The best part is the shuttle which allows for the option to sleep in on those slightly colder days and provides the freedom of coming and going to the mountain when you please. It takes the hassle out of getting the group ready to go all at once.

For those who are looking for nightlife, the house is a short walk to downtown for dinner and the bar scene.
