About this property

The Carriage House is a beautifully decorated one bedroom, one bathroom apartment located on the property of the famous Villa Estrella Mar. Just minutes from the center of Old Town, Puerto Vallarta in a residential area, a minute to the beach down a long private stairway, the location is hard to beat.

The beautifully decorated apartment consists of a living room and fully equipped kitchen, a desk in case you need to get any work done during your stay, as well as the bedroom with a king size bed, and ensuite bathroom. There are is a terrace that looks out to the Villa and the Bay and a second enclosed terrace off the bedroom. The best part is, you aren't in a condo complex so you can have complete privacy.

We make sure to have a few cold drinks available on arrival to start your vacation off right.

There is daily maid service with staff who will do any laundry free of charge!

Ask to be connected to our amazing concierge who can assist with booking in unit massages, fun activities, transportation, meal or grocery delivery, you name it!

Can also be rented with Villa Estrella Mar to provide additional sleeping for two.

Excellent location

Beautiful small villa in a very walkable location. The daily cleaning and laundry service were very nice amenities. The only downside is the noise from the Villa next door and from the construction during the day that started early. Also the furniture is beautiful but just not comfortable for lounging or even having dinner in the Villa.

This is a wonderful place. It was very spacious, had comfortable furniture and lovely decor. We loved the private balcony and quiet neighborhood. The staff were amazing and so helpful. They really made you feel comfortable and welcomed.

The pictures do not give this place justice. A little out of town which was what we wanted, but close enough. Easy walk to town. We had a nice time while relaxing. The staff very nice and helpful. Drank our coffee in the balcony very day and planned our daily activities. Daily walks to the beach to see the amazing sunsets. This place is a gem!!!!

I recommend you stay here

Clean, comfortable, very nice. Paco and the entire staff were super nice. We felt safe and well served. Paco would arrange taxis for the short 5 min trip downtown. Easy to get a taxi back with Paco's business card. AC worked great and stayed surprisingly cool when we turned it off. Casa Ley Supermarket was open until 10 pm.

Wonderful Place

We stayed in the carriage house and it was absolutely perfect for the two of us. There is a private walkway down to the beaches and everything was taken care of for us. I would absolutely return and stay here again.

Wonderful location with amazing views

My only complaint is that I could not stay longer. I loved the Villa Estrella Mar carriage house. It is in a prime location with easy access to the beach, restaurants and shopping. I loved all the detail and art in the house. The staff on the property were friendly and genuine. The views were magnificent and the grounds were manicured. Lots of flowers and birds. Please do your research of the area and read all the reviews. PV is a loud area. It is a lively, loud culture and there is construction everywhere during the day. There are also a lot of stairs in my favorite neighborhoods and rentals. This is part of the charm for me. I am looking forward to my next visit!

Very nice condo with awesome view. Large bedroom and bath. Comfortable sitting area. This condo does not have a balcony. Also a bit of a hike to town. Those were my only negatives. Otherwise, a great place to stay. We never closed one door or window. The night air cooled the condo perfectly.

Upscale neighborhood

Nice decor, spacious bedroom and bath. The only downside was that the living room furniture not that comfortable. We walked to the beach every morning, got beach loungers at the El Dorado, then took a taxi home … rather than walk up the 195 steps. Jordon was very responsive and the onsite staff super helpful. We enjoyed our stay at the carriage house.

Amazing sunsets and steps to the beach

This is a perfect spot for anyone who doesn't mind a walk down to the beach. You can easily venture out to Los Muertos, Amapas and Conchas Chinas beaches by foot from this location. Listing is very clean, staff is very friendly and the sunsets from the private balcony (at least in the Spring) were breathtaking.

A terrific place

We enjoyed our stay here it is a beautiful very quiet and relaxing property with so much space and a very comfortable bed. Walkable everywhere and easy access to the beach below. It is a warm inviting space filled with beautiful art. We would stay here again!

Review of Estrella Mar detached apartment

The property manager Paco couldn't be more awesome. Fluent in english and super accomodative. The property was immaculate and wonderful, but unfortunately it let me believe that it was "very close to town". Well, we're elderly with joint problems and so it was not close enough for us to walk in order to go to a restaurant or grocery store. We had to phone for an Uber or taxi every time we wanted to leave the property. That's our only regret about the property.

Cute Cottage House steps (although MANY steps... lol) from the beach. Excellent views. Houseman, Paco, was very helpful. Host, Jordan gave an excellent recommendation for a birthday dinner (La Campella) and was very responsive. Looking forward to staying again.

The property was exactly as advertised and an excellent value. The host, property manager and staff were all soooo accommodating. I have a 105 lb German Shepard and not everyone is so happy to host him, but these folks were amazing. Aside from that, overall all communication was excellent, transportation was so helpful, I cannot say enough good things. From first communication to departure this host and staff were amazing.
