we had such a fun weekend out in southold! Cottage was perfect for us for a cold rainy weekend. Everything was so close to the house. Will definitely be back in the summer!
Great location, beautiful house, easy communication with the host. Nicely appointed kitchen. Heat worked great for a very cold January.

We loved this quaint lake house that was within easy walking distance to the beach. The house had everything we needed, and the bed was very considerable. We would definitely stay here again on a visit to the North Fork and Southold.
We had a weekend wedding at one of the wineries and this cottage was perfect! The host was beyond helpful, the place was very clean and well-appointed, and the location was outstanding. I would highly recommend this lovely cottage.
We had a really nice stay at Eileen's cottage, it was just as described in the profile, and so easy to get to other places in the North Fork. We got out on the kayaks, walked and ran from the cottage down to nearby beaches, and took in some great sunsets. We'll plan to stay again!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Well cleaned, very neat and comfortable. Eileen, the owner, was very nice, gave me answers to my questions right away and pleasantly and very amiable. Definitely will stay again!!
10 out of 10!!
We booked this beautiful cottage last minute for a quick weekend getaway and it was everything we hoped it would be. Eileen was also a pleasure to work with!
Tucked back in the woods off of a quiet neighborhood by a pond. Screened in porch and multiple ceiling fans kept the bugs away! The weather was cloudy and unseasonably cool so did not take advantage of the kayaks and paddleboats provided by Eileen. Lovely stay for quiet adults!
We enjoyed a lovely week at this perfectly situated cottage.
So very close to wine tours and fabulous beaches!
Eileen is a great host and the cottage had absolutely everything we needed and more. I must also say the beds were more comfortable than our recent hotel stay so that's a plus as well!
Great trip.
In all honesty the pictures on the listing does not make any justice to the actual Cabin, it is much more open , bright , big and really cosy..
Best stay ever.
Thank you very much
Great location for any winery tour you may be in. Felt like we were in the middle of the woods. Pond, deer, geese were all things we saw while walking around the property. We will be back
Everything was great. Eileen is very responsive, friendly and helpful. It’s a lovely house in a beautiful spot! And the North Fork of Long Island is a great area to visit.

Had a fantastic time, near to all. Great restaurants, did wine tasting.
About the cottage, what can I say…clean, cozy, everything you need. Used the fire place on a chilly evening ,sipping wine we picked up.
A great little place.. owner was a pleasure to work with.
It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The gas fireplace was welcoming on a cool November evening. Location was great, 20 minutes to many of the wineries, restaurants and the beach. Canoe and kayaks were great on the small pond. It was delightful.
Eileen is the best host! Her cottage is adorable and has everything you could ask for. The chilly weather came early this year so the fireplace was a huge plus to make our stay so cozy. We had a great time going out on the pond with the kayaks and paddle boats. And North Fork wineries are everywhere, hard to decide which one to visit. Great dinner at Little Fish on Kenney Beach. We will definitely be back!
My husband and I had a wonderful few days at Eileen's cottage. Just enough room for the two of us, in such a peaceful setting. The boats were great fun for early morning or late afternoon activity. We were able to enjoy the pond and Kenneys Road Beach which is just around the corner. Cottage was very comfortable, especially the beds, and had everything we needed. Great time, can't wait to return!
We booked a last minute stay off season at this cabin. It was very peaceful. The inside is quite roomier than the photos (expect for one smallish bedroom) and in warm weather the screened in porch and yard would provide even more space. I especially loved the colorful artsy bathroom tiles! We walked down to the pond although it was too cold for boating. The neighborhood seems remote but you are minutes away from restaurants, shops and wineries. Would love to visit again.
My parents, my younger son and I wanted to escape Brooklyn for a few days for some relaxation. This house was a cozy spot for unwinding. The living room space was situated right in front of the gas fireplace, but because the fireplace is surrounded by the original brick facade, it feels like a real fireplace - making it that much more charming. It is a small home, but the bedroom with the Queen size bed was perfect for my parents and for my son and I, we slept fine on the trundle bed. The house is only 6 minutes from the IGA grocery store and the town of Southold, NY where there is a bakery and cute stores to check-out. There was a nice size t.v. in the main room and a t.v. in both bedrooms. There was plenty of light during the day with all rooms having nice windows and the surroundings were quiet and filled with nature - trees, lake, singing birds. The owner was in touch and quick to answer questions. The house was clean and there was a dishwasher which made it easy to clean up after meals. We also enjoyed that there was a large wooden dining room table where we ate our meals, played board games and my son used to color in his book. I recommend this stay if you are a small family and want some together time. Also, the bathrooms were bright and it was very convenient to have a half-bath as well so that there was more than one bathroom. I would book this again.
Listing was misleading. You have a lake view in winter, but summer the undergrowth is tall and you don’t see much except trees. Listed as ac but only ac in bedroom. Main area is NOT airing conditioned. There is a skylight which has no shade so sun really beats in. Very hot on a warm day. On the plus side private and mostly quiet. Host responds very quickly and seems very nice expected more of a lake view and AC. Probably nice in winter or spring when you don’t really need ac.but I wouldn’t call it a lake view. You do see a tiny slice of lake. Other places have lawns to the lake and really do have a view. We did enjoy listening to the birds
This is a quite little cottage on Great Pond lake on Long Island NY. The best word to describe it is cozy. We really enjoyed our stay. The place is definitely an older home with some updates. Each room has its own heating and cooling. There are two bedrooms but only one queen bed. the other bedroom has a trundle bed that is comfortable and a pull out couch. The kitchen also includes a microwave and dishwasher. The house also comes with bikes, kayaks, and paddle boats which we took out every day. The beach is less than a mile away. You can walk or ride one of the bikes. However, if you want to drive you will need a parking permit to go to any beach which the owner will provide for you at a cost if you are staying for 2 or more weeks. The only thing I would change is that this town has no trash pick up so you have to take your garbage with you or take it to the dump yourself and pay for it to be taken.
