Ducati’s is a delightful two-bedroom self-contained cottage in Raymond Terrace, New South Wales. Nestled in a semi-rural area and surrounded by lush gardens and towering gum trees, it provides an ideal retreat for couples or singles to unwind, offering all the comforts of home without any of the usual stress.
The property is named after our cat, Ducati, who has been an integral part of the process since the beginning, diligently overseeing the architect and various tradespeople to ensure everything was up to his standard. This commitment to detail is reflected in the cottage's cozy and well-thought-out design.
Your hosts, Peter, Glenys, and Hallie, are on-site to assist with any queries during your stay, from local history to dining recommendations. We also emphasize sustainable living at Ducati’s. Our gardens, filled with decorative plants, herbs, and food-producing vegetation, are maintained without the use of pesticides or herbicides, creating a healthy environment for both guests and local wildlife.
Regular visitors to our property include a variety of native birds and animals. You might spot Kookaburras, Magpies, Butcher Birds, Cockatoos, Blue Wrens, Willy Wagtails, Noisy Minahs, and many other bird species in the trees and gardens. Possums, Lace Monitors (Goannas), native Bush Rats, Diamond Pythons, Grey Kangaroos, and Wallabies also frequent the area. While we haven’t yet seen a Koala, the local wildlife rescue group uses trees on our property to feed injured Koalas in their care.
To support local wildlife, we have an ongoing program of planting native vegetation alongside our food production efforts, ensuring a habitat for displaced fauna. We also have free-range chickens and ducks that have around 1000 square meters to roam, contributing to the property's sustainable practices.
At Ducati’s, we strike a perfect balance between comfort and sustainability, creating a serene and eco-friendly retreat for our guests.
