Luxury accommodation in beautiful Scott's Head. Best of beach and bush views.

We are a rural property, set on 5 acres, with views overlooking beautiful Scott's Head and Nambucca Heads. We are only 2 minutes drive from our closest beach and less than 5 minutes from Scott's Head village. Scott's Head is situated exactly half way between Sydney and Brisbane so offers the ideal place to break your trip. Our studio, SARANA, is attached to the main house, but is completely private, with it's own entry. You can see as little or as much of us as you like. The studio boasts luxury fittings such as a huge free standing bath, large bathroom with double vanity, quality queen size bed fitted with top class linens, fully equipped kitchenette, private deck with outdoor cooking facilities, Weber BBQ, outdoor dining area, sun lounge and the list goes on.
We pride ourselves on providing the best hospitality in the area after running a large successful Guest House in the Hunter Valley for many years.

Perfect getaway

Beautiful property with fantastic host.

This property is exactly as advertised - beautiful location and comfortably furnished - but what makes it extra special is Jenny the owner. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The kitchen was incredibly generously stocked with everything we could want to have huge breakfasts and she even lent me her own kindle when it turned out we had the same tastes in books. These are the things that make a holiday memorable. I would 100% stay here again. Thanks Jen!

Amazing!

If your after a relaxing getaway, this is the place to stay. Beautiful outdoor area to sit back, relax and enjoy the stunning views looking out over Scotts Head. The unit is the perfect size, beautifully designed and decorated and Jenny has thought of everything you could possibly need. We loved our stay and will be sure to come back! Thank you Jenny.

A 5 star experience in a beautiful setting

We have stayed at many places over the years and Jen’s studio is the best equipped and best presented than any we’ve stayed at before. Jen’s personal touches are everywhere when you enter the room, like fresh flowers. The Breakfast provisions are second to none. We couldn’t believe how much was provided and how great the quality was. Then there was the setting - simply amazing! The view was exquisite, the garden was beautiful and the sight and sounds of all kinds of birds made the setting perfect for relaxation. Jen herself is a warm and welcoming person who made us feel at home instantly. She introduced us to her beautiful horses and her very smart dog, Tilly. As animal lovers this made our experience there even better. The beach is only minutes away which means that you get the best if both worlds - the splendour of the hilltop countryside and the surf. If you are thinking about staying anywhere around Grassy Head/Scott’s Head, dont look any further - this is the place to stay.

Beautiful accommodation in a stunning location!

Jenny is the perfect host. She has thought of everything! She had also stocked the fridge with lovely breakfast things, which was so appreciated. The accomodation itself is stunning and whilst attached to the main house is very private and we didn’t even know Jenny was home. Jenny and her husband made us feel very wlecome, and the view from the accomodation is incredible. Two days wasn’t enough. We will definitely be back.

My husband Brad and myself are orginally from Newcastle and made the sea change to beautiful Scott's Head back in 2004 and have never looked back. When we built our dream home, we purpose built it so we could offer accommodation once our daughters left home for University. We have done hospitality on a large scale being owners and operators of the historical, Barrington Guest House in the Hunter Valley for over 20 years. Now we can offer beautiful accommodation in a truly special part of the world. We feel very blessed to call this our home and be able to share it with others.

Why they chose this property

We couldn't believe our eyes when we first saw this piece of land. The sweeping ocean views on one side and Dorrigo Mountains and plateau to the west. It really is an incredibly special place with the best beaches, you can go to our closest beach and be the only one on it.

What makes this property unique

Being exactly half way between Sydney and Brisbane, it's the perfect place to break your trip and stop, unwind and recharge before continuing on your journey. We have an abundance of wildlife here. You can watch the whales making their way up and down the coast from here, there's also a telescope so you can see them up closer. We have wallabies that are here most evenings on dusk and mornings at dawn, and a huge variety of birdlife. Go to sleep to the sounds of waves crashing and awake to birdsong and the most amazing sunrises.
